Problem is (a) Hawke can only be human, so you miss out on the awesome elf scenes with Solas, and (b) DA2 was a lot less popular than DAO.

If you pick the second dialogue option Inquisitor and humorous Hawke talk about the Qunari in Kirkwall and a comparison between them and Iron Bull. Laughed my ass off.

Ed2Bobobo Not me. I wasn't as happy with DA2 in compariosn to DAO, but the expansions were GREAT. But more importantly, Hawke is the best written character in the whole saga. No contest. from a writing point of view, it's a brilliant undertaking, his character. And I LOVED him in DAI.

+B. Oliveira Hawke grew on me. It's come to the point where I haven't seen my Warden for so long that out of all 3 of sacrifice my Warden. I've lost that connection.

Is this a Bonfire? Huh? Warden is who you are. You can simply create him or her as you see fit, unlike hawk who is either this or that. I like hawk but i still much prefer my warden.

Is this a Bonfire? I mean Hawke ages and matures several years in DA2 so it's easier for him to develop. Whereas your Warden character is like 20-21 ish during the 1-1.5 year span of DA Origins and Awakening.

I was so torn on who to choose in DA2, but ultimately went with Isabela as my FemHawkes romantic partner. I felt she had a lot of growth and, yeah, she would sleep around in her past but was always loyal to my Hawke. I like to imagine them as two BA pirates saving the "littke guy" until Hawke has to leave.

I hate Isabella, her character growth is still selfish, she didn't change for the better, she changes for Hawke, she never realized the terrible mistakes she has done

Agree. I enjoyed her romance more than I thought I would. I also don't think she was as promiscuous as she portrays herself to be. Its just a way to keep people at a distance emotionally. We hear her talk about sex a lot but the only 2 people she has any actual scenes with in DA2 is Hawke and Zevran, and that's only if you bring her along for his quest.

See, I love my hawke she’s humorous. And cares a lot about her Varric and andres. Orgins is amazing [mainly because of alistar] not just for his good looks but you get to BE QUEEN I like to rule heh. But yeah I found DA2 pretty fun seeing my warden again would definitely be a cool idea. She is bad ass after all

I have had my problems with Dragon Age II, as have many other people. However, its problems aside, it's not a terrible game. But with saying that, it wasn't an outstanding game either. It was a 'downgrade' from Dragon Age Origins in many ways, but it's not bad as many have claimed it to be. As a matter of fact, in certain ways, there were actually some areas that was an improvement from Origins.

Well, the general message doesn't change, but each personality changes the actual dialogue. Peaceful Hawke will be calm and serious, Sarcastic Hawke will crack jokes a little, and the other (I call it Angry Hawke but I don't know the actual name) is really aggressive and harsh.

When you speak to Varric just before he introduces you to Hawke, you literally get the decision between 'Default Hawke' and 'Custom Hawke'. The latter opens the character editor. Hawke's class and gender you decide in the Dragon Age Keep (Along with all your other decisions from Origins and 2) from whence you import your world state.

@@thecowboy9698 The very first time you speak to Varric after you get to Skyhold. However, I believe it only happens if you import a custom world state, not the default. If you use the default world state, you get default Hawke.

The Hero of Fereldan is dead in the default world state, if she was alive in the default keep she’d probably make a physical appearance in the game

What they were thinking when they decided that at Bioware I have no idea. I know fangirls love the Alister romance, but it has zero impact on the overall story, it's purely a side act. I always felt a male Warden romancing and having an old god baby with Morrigan was the default World State. What is the purpose of the DLC with Morrigan if it's not even canon? You may well introduce a DLC were you clean Alisters pants and make him a coffee. It's a baffling decision. Morrigan and the Warden is one of the better Bioware romances and it's completely a waste of time.

@@The1Floyd I think the main reason is that becuz there r so many voice options when creating a character in Origins it would make ppl go "that is NOT how he/she should sound" i.e if the HoF appeared and who had a voice actor who sounded really high-pitched instead of a deep gravelly voice would negate those of us who chose the experienced and violent voice types. I do think it would've made the choice between who to leave behind harder if u had to leave behind Hawke or the HoF

like jacob said the warden is dead in default world state. Mine became the prince consort and in inqusiton there was a bit about how he stood down from it and travelling to find a cure to the taint

Wow.... why is this in my top 3 cinematics in DAI? I just LOVE this cene (in all its permutations) You know what I've accidentally realized a couple of years after beating DAI? That Hawke is my favorite Dragon Age character. So much much hate back in the day towards DA2 and Hawke in DAI (not from me).... and yet, I can confidently say: Hawke is THE BEST written character in the whole saga. No contest.

da2 was the game got got me into dragon age , dai was my first dragon age game but i kept getting bored 10mins in but when i played da2 i spent long hours and hours and learn from the world of dragon age and so when i played dai again i spent hours and hours loving it , now i just need to do the same in da1 , but anyways i loved da2 the best and just like hawke i miss isabella too bc she was my fav to romance with . i heard da4 is being made so i just hope it amazing than da2 bc if it is i will be spending days instead of hours on it lol

James Lewis I don't think is matters but he does have a point. Nearly all the video's of dragon age Inquisition have a female hero instead. I think it's because people tend to do a male play through their first time and and then do a female their second. As people tend to record things on their second play through it is probably why most video's have a female inquisitor instead of a male.

Duncan Morgan It is also because female (specifically female elven) inquisitor has the most romances. for many folks, it's the appeal. And honestly, many folks who record those may be in fact female, and want to identify with their characters more.

Stealthyhunter Here's the Chantry account: Back before the Dragon Age and before the world was the Maker. He first created the fade, and then the old gods. But the old gods couldn't feel as he felt, and so he left them in the fade to create Thedas.

However, the old gods could communicate to humans beyond the fade, and taught those in the Tevinter Imperium blood magic, starting the first sin, which is the use of blood magic.

Stealthyhunter Maker was so disgusted with this he left his golden city forever, never to return. Once the Tevinter magisters entered the golden city through blood magic, they committed the second sin, turning the golden city into the black city and causing the magisters to be thrown back down into Thedas and they were turned into dark spawn.

Stealthyhunter Anything that dark spawn touch can either suffer from sickness, or be turned into dark spawn. When the magisters fled underground, they discovered an old god, and using their condition, they turned it into an archdemon, starting the blight.
