Has a shape-shifting friend called Puar, trained under King Kai and capable of throwing Racoome as if he were a bag of dead leaves ,practitioner of the Wolfgang fist and sukidan but most of all ... a z-fighter. So , yes Yamcha is awesome in my book.

Like someone said below, Yamcha is very relatable, if not the most relatable character in the show. I dislike how much hate and slander he gets. He's a kind person, too ♡

1:32 I like how they casually mask how toxic Bulma was to Yamcha. If people don’t remember in OG ball, yamcha would be absolutely man handled by Bulma, and in some cases in both ball and Z she even tried to cheat on him, flirting with multiple handsome antagonists. Sucks they had to rewrite Yamcha’s character in order to make him the bad guy in the relationship, but oh well.

This guy is a famous baseball player, ripped and wahahay stronger than an average human. Why on Dende's green earth is this man still single? Oh yeah, because Akira Toriyama doesn't give a shit about him.

People who say Yamcha needs his moment need to remember this. Rewatch "SSJ 3 Goku Versus Beerus" and notice how SSJ 3 Goku couldn't land a single blow on Beerus. Everything was either blocked by hand or dodged. Then later, Yamcha is bragging to Beerus at the party and slaps him on the back actually making the unguarded Beerus stagger slightly. Meaning Yamcha was the first Z-Fighter who managed to land a hit on God of Destruction Beerus.
