The 6m always works no matter the height as long as you end with the m dp since it keeps them in the corner It also basically works as a safe jump against lvl 3s and stuff I use it all the time

The thing I love most about these guides is, not only are they the most informative for each character on RU-vid, but you also treat every character as respectable as possible. No matter who the character is you give it the same excitement and interest as somebody would who is looking to pick up the character but you do it for the whole roster

BTW, one thing I wanted to add is about his B Assist. I've been using it on my DBS Broly/Cooler/Baseku team, and it works pretty well for me. It retains its beam-punching properties too so when people spam beam assists he just cuts through em. And once you get the timing, it's pretty good in corner combos.

I've been playing around with the same team! Which assist for Baseku are you using? A has some nice combo synergy but B has the benefit of coming in with lvl 1 spirit bomb

as a cooler main since season 1 I kinda disagree with u. Yes the beam cuts through projectiles but because you are most likely going to be calling his assist reacting to a beam fired at you you will most likey be caught in the beam. This matter cuz the blockstun of the beam is too much to be able to combo off the average hitstun of the B assist. Thats why aftr a little bit i started to go to his other assists. Also in the corner its very slow to come out so for people new to it it can be hard. I play beerus cooler baseku and my tod in the corner with beerus became way harder to do due to the timing of the B assist. I like it for screen controll, but the beam properties dont really matter.

Hey Nice Tips and Tricks! I have mained Cooler since he came out! With new assists my team all tails is so much easier to use!!! A21 and Cooler are such a great shell for each other!

When I first played fighting games, I always preferred playing characters with weird gimmicks and playstyles different from the standard fighter. I still do, but watching your guides made me appreciate the importance of the baby basics and fundamentals. When it comes those type of characters however, I guess I do prefer the big boy fundamental characters like Cooler! ^^

Man I gotta thank you for inspiring me to Play cooler. He has been my S3 main and he helped me break into Living Legend! Plus he’s really fun to make comebacks with. Also nothing can match the excitement of whifing the dive kick and immediately countering to win the match. I can’t believe how often it works 😂

Kefla can make use of her 214S after a jH knockdown in the corner to switch sides and level 1 into Coolers side switching supers as well! Cooler is good friends with the LSSJs much to his dismay lmao. Great video as always Rooflemonger!

Holy crap this is easily the best Resource I've found for learning how to play Cooler, at first I was worried it was going to be a cheap almost cringe video with the "Tips and Tricks" part, but no it was honest to god "here is his entire moveset, their properties, ways they can be used including for block-strings, and even assists that can help" actual Tips, and actual Tricks that help people understand what to use. I really hope there's more of these coming out eventually they are really good.

As Lotus said, Cooler’s 3H is one of the best buttons in the game, there’s not really any moves that can go straight through all projectiles and anti air from nearly full screen, and all projectiles means beams which means he’ll ignore some assists too, which translates to most assists since everyone usually runs at least one beam or some projectile assist now that we can choose assists

Hit's c assist is so great for genocider uppercut, well for cooler in general tbh. Allows full combos off beam, full screen low and uppercut. Its great

You need to cover the sparking finger loops that were discovered by Mark S on discord. (His RU-vid channel is Endorph). It's slowly becoming required tech for Cooler players. A couple reps gain a ridiculous amount of damage

I like his B assist. It seems good enough to just throw out randomly in neutral (with it's projectile immunity). I run Kefla on point, and the B assist has enough block stun to make going into her hellzone super from 5M a true blockstring (although the timing seems a little strict).

The problem I've been having is that my reaction time seems to be a little too good, I don't know how else to say it. Like I know the dude it gonna fly at me right, so I down heavy. But the thing is I down heavy EARLY TOO DAMN MUCH! Anyway to train my self to slow down? My heavy animation is over by the time they reach me all the damn time and I always get hit by something I see coming too often...

That's because you're not actually reacting to the super dash, you're *anticipating* it. So you 2H to early instead of timing it correctly. I know cuz I used to have trouble with this as well, now it's one of my better "skills" in the game. The best way to train for that is to record a dummy for 4 slots. Set 1 to jump and do nothing, the 2nd to jump, then double jump then do nothing, the 3rd to jump then superdash, and the 4th to double jump then super dash. You should aim to 2H when the dummy DOES superdash, and NOT 2H if they dont superdash. You'll get more consistent with more real match experience too. Also it's harder to react online since theres delay and stuff, so once you get that down, add delayed frames in training mode and continue that exercise. You'll be better in no time👍

Just a question. When do i need to use light knee instead of medium knee? Medium seems exact same thing plus full invincible. Am i wrong?

I'll assume you haven't found out yet. The L uppercut us only air attack frame 1 invincible, while the M uppercut has full invincibility, but it's not frame 1.

i didn’t see it mentioned in the vid, but if you use cooler’s level 3 with the Heavy+Special input (R2 on ps4), it will always be the grab version instead of the counter.

well combination of 2 things. Been so busy labbing and video making I barely have time to play and secondly honestly history has proved time and again people just kinda don't care about watching me play? When I put up such a video it generally does poorer than anything else I do :( That said if you wanna see gameplay I am starting to get back into the streaming end of things so it will be on my twitch.

Valuable piece of advice; It is true that Cooler can go into super after a dive kick, although in fairly long combos that is not gonna work as a conversion sometimes, because the enemies will recover too fast.
