I would've been disappointed that it wasn't rock/metal like most of the other themes if not for the fact that they tried to make it sound like "Solid State Scouter".
I just love how they're able to make a theme that fits each individual character, my first impressions of this theme were things like "This doesn't seem like Bardock at all" and "It's too calm compared to the others" But now I can't think of a theme that fits him BETTER than this one, Solid State Scouter comes close though.
Yup, he was just a low-class warrior a part of a squad, going out from planet to planet doing his job. One day though, he decided that for once in his life he wanted to protect something: That being his son, Kakarot. With a not-so-heavy heart he sent him off to another world, beside his loving wife as they watched his son fly off to a life that would forge him into one of the greatest fighters ever known. He fired his beam, knowing full-well he'd die anyways. He died, knowing that his son was safe. As he was consumed with the rest of the planet, he knew everything would be ok. That's the tale of Bardock, short and sweet.
A lot of motives throughout the song sound very similar to the ones in SSS (such as the synth hits at 0:45, the snare sample and the bassline), and in terms of song structure they're almost the same too. You can definitely tell that it was written this way intentionally.
Bardock. The weakest Saiyan in terms of power level but turns out to be the best character in this game. *And this kids is why power levels are bullshit.*
Actually, thanks to his Zenkais, Base Bardock is stronger than Base Nappa but we aren't here to talk about power level, because indeed, that's bullshit.
Man dbfz has to be one of the greatest fighting games ever made. Crisp graphics, bad ass soundtrack, intuitive gameplay, thriving competitive scene 2 years in. Balancing issues and net code aside, this video game turned me into a lifelong fighting game AND dragon ball fan.
Honestly i hope they make a second one. If they fixed the net play in the next game, made the characters more unique with different speeds and health and a little more varied move pool, made a good story mode, and made the visuals even better itd be the best fighting game ever made.
@@Joker-nh6dd I hope they include more of Tien's techniques cuz my man don't have the four arms and he only got to use Multiform at the end of Heavy Volleyball Fist which was added in a later patch anyway. Same goes for Chiaotzu he should have more moves as a support character like the Dodon Ray, like have Tien do a super version of the Dodon Ray where Chiaotzu's in it or some shit my man's got his own son he's gotta use him at some point man. And they better get some freakin alternate costumes seriously. Also more unique intros and special intros. And more moves for Majin Buu my man's got less moves than Kid Buu absolute slander. And have every character have a unique aura color seriously white white white white blue yellow yellow yellow blue blue white purple and pink maybe and a few completely new ones. Also maybe a few more moves for Krillin like his Taunt move and more use of his Afterimage. or SOMETHIN i ran outta things to suggest
To me, I think the music represent how Bardock was alone fighting against fate itself. He knew what was going to happen and none believe him. Yet he was the only one who still fought against all odds knowing he'd die trying.
Still the best theme in DBFZ. Edit: Even after all the music that the new characters brought, Bardock’s theme is still the best in this video game. Edit No. 2: ROLLBACK FOR FIGHTERZ BABY I MIGHT ACTUALLY GO BACK TO THIS GAME NOW
@@shima8321 great track. It sounds like something a secret boss fight would use and I absolutely adore that, but I’d still go with bardock’s for its solid state scouter inspired sounds and it’s perfect tempo in my opinion, always put me in the mood to throw virtual dragon ball hands. I never get tired of listening to this track, it’s just that good to me. Sorry it took me this long to respond.
Me, before the fight: using a controller *This song starts playing* Me: "wait, why am holding a steering wheel? I guess I am gonna fight him on a touge track, then"
This song is so nice and calm for such a warrior. Maybe it's because they need make sure that people think before mashing their blood vessels out. (Theme Name: Die Fighting)
I've been playing Tenkaichi 3 lately and listening to the DBFZ themes so much. Really excited to hear what kind of bangers we'll get on the new Tenkaichi! Hope they come close to these! (Also, Bardock's theme here is my favorite)
@@killerqueen7969 But in the Broly movie his attack literally slowed down Frieza's Supernova for a moment when back in the original Bardock: Father of Goku movie it was just swallowed like it was nothing.
@@danmenard6917 Which was the entire point of the scene yes. OG Bardock also just had a way more epic build up, not to mention that he got turned into Goku 2 in the movie, with his justice and nice guy talk, when originally he really portrayed a real Saiyan. Brutal and strong, not really caring about whats right or wrong. The only reason he even got that heroic was because it was literally concerning the survival of his race.
Dang this hit me out of nowhere as I was really unimpressed with this games soundtrack until I heard this. Whoever made this needs a cookie and some new power up or something.
