This song perfectly captures the dichotomy between how Black sees himself and how everyone else sees him. In his eyes, he is a noble hero doing what needs to be done, what the other gods are too scared to do. This is shown by the dramatic horns and heroic strings, similar to Trunks' theme. However, everyone else around him sees just how insane he really is. The frantic guitar and sporadic drums highlight just how far from noble he is in reality. However, this song is the perspective of Black, so the horns and strings often overpower the other instruments, almost as if they know what they really are deep down, and are violently trying to drown out the harmony of suffering with their own delusional melodies.
in a way with what you're saying you could even take that idea and compare it to being the good noble side of goku and his body clashing with the extreme ideals of zamasu and his mind who has now taken over his body
@@majinblackgear5bankaisuper151 Why you gotta be a buzzkill? I’m not even sure if OP’s statement is true but it’s a cool thing to think about. Fused Zamasu’s theme is literally a remixed version of Goku Black’s theme with choir chanting is name over and over again which matches how arrogant and drunk on his own power he is at that point 😂
This game has been tainted by these filthy saiyans. I will show them the true power of the universe’s strongest body and bring about a new meta where only gods remain. I hope you’re ready!
@@goldenhydreigon4727 welcoming Goku Black from DMC, Imagine Goku black style switching between energy scythes, energy guns, energy blades, and then spear and chains
This is unmistakably the theme song of a villain who has - at least to some extent - _won by simply existing._ A walking disaster, a swirl of darkness that threatens to overtake all it touches. Great theme for Black. No doubt about it.
If you have a good ear you may notice that it is a song with a choppy heroic tone as it shows, black thinks that he does good inside his disturbed mind
It's *really* more of a reflection of the paths Trunks had to take, but sure. To each their own interpretation. Totally all about the dude, not the journey, his enemy, the paths chosen by destiny or the darkness in both paths. This theme goes way deeper than a god believing in his own worth. Just saying.
-The main melody is played by heroic instruments such as trumpets and violins, but they are interspersed with distorted electric guitars and heavy drum beats, creating a tense and chaotic atmosphere. -The harmony is complex and dissonant at times, reflecting Black Goku's confusion and internal conflict. -The pace is fast and pulsating, creating a sense of urgency and danger.
I'm surprised how few people brought up that the reason Goku Black's theme is an orchestra-infused rock number is because Zamasu is in Goku's body. Goku, who's entire supporting cast has rock or rock-adjacent themes along with him. Zamasu is a villain, who's themes are predominantly orchestral, posing as a hero. Hence why when Zamasu Fused appears, he's gone pure orchestral.
I thought it was like the heroic strings and trumpets is how Black sees himself, purifying this world of the threat against it that are the mortals, rotting the very world they live in. However, on the other side of the spectrum, you have those mortals who are doing their best to live. They see Black differently. They're the only to notice how truly insane he is and how deteriorated his depiction of Justice really is. The frantic guitar and fast pace sell this.
"I look down on existence from a much higher perspective than you do. I witness this world, this universe and the truth of all things. That yields deeper understanding. Wisdom. The realization that all mortals should be destroyed. The one and only mistake among all divine creations. That is what mortals are. And this mistake is egregious. To shape existence into the beautiful utopia it was always meant to be, the mistake must be corrected. I will purge all mortals from existence in place of the gods WHO REFUSE TO ADMIT FAILURE!!!"
Same here, is my favorite in the entire OST, for me it feels like Zamasu truly believing he's being righteous and saving the universe by destroying the humans.
Still waiting for ULTRA SSR Black to get some love after so long in Legends. And also waiting for the Goku Black/Zamasu Tag that fuses into Fused Zamasu character.
I'd like to imagine that Goku Black clones are slamming the drums, while Goku Black and Zamasu play the rest. The Black Deity? NINGEN Slayers? The Zero Mortality boys? Do what you will!
I personally think the reason this theme Is done this way is to show his absolute resolve to kill all humans to such an extreme degree as the lighter instruments in the background to symbolize his divinity while the guitar overshadowed it completely as if to show he WILL make any sacrifice even becoming one of them himself to achieve this goal
I love the fact that theres a literal sonic reference in this song 0:37 (for the people who dont understand it sounds like the drowning music from sonic 1)
@@GT-wj3gl no thats phase 8-10 goku black zamazu black rose zamazu (again) both (not fused) backpedelt (black and zamaz are backpedalt) then the fusion (bullet hell wile there spinning) merged zamazu corupted zamazu UNIVERSE ZAMAZU (im german pls excuse my englisch)
If Goku Black and Zamasu had their own beyblades Goku Black=Prime Apocolypse Edit: Rose Goku Black= Prime apocolypse with Big Bang armour Zamasu=Regalia Genesis Fused Zamasu= Big Bang Genesis
I like how if you hear it right the trumpets sounds like the choir from zamasu's theme. And instead of saying praise zamas-sama, it sounds like a sped up praise goku black
I’d be down if the next update for FighterZ gave us the Vegeta Blue beatdown on Black as a dramatic finish while this theme playing in the back making it **PERFECT**
This is just the first phase before the real terror begins. Goku Black is only the beginning of a much more horrifying individual that awaits those who dare to challenge him.
