I want to give props to the Legends team for noticing a mistake, directly admitting and addressing it. That is actually really good.

I didn't expect them to buff them at all, even so I thought it was going to be minor but this can really put them up there in the ranks! I really hope they continue to do these adjustments for characters they feel were underwhelming on release.

I'm so happy that they are actually buffing them. This is the first time i pulled the anni headliner at 6 stars so i was a little sad to hear that they were underwhelming. Big W for legends

This is truly unprecedented but nobody can say it wasn't needed. The changes actually sound meaningful and now they sound like a proper headliner. Interested to see what they have planned for LL's in general.

I find that vanishing 70% vanishing gauge restore pretty interesting, you could do the lf 17 technique where you vanish once, switch to Freiza and then vanish again, should be interesting to see what kind of plays you could do with that.

I really like this, while Goku and Frieza where pretty good but as soon as they lose their pvp feature bonus they where going to straight away fall off hard. So I think this was really needed

There's no shame in this. The unit didn't hit the ground running and its really a very hype character so good on them

I think another crazy thing about the buffs to the rising rush counter is that LF 17 also has an ability to lower subcounts when the enemy activates a rush so even if you get extra subcounts due to some other characters ability you can still get the counter with Goku and Frieza

5x zenkai GnF video was already scary and now they decide to give them a buff. oh lord.

The buff is MASSIVE, they are top 4 without a question

the goku and frieza fight vs jiren was my absolute favourite moment from super and this unit became my instant favourite so much so i was determined to 14 star it, without spending money, no matter how much time it will take, every single LL z power i get will go to this unit, and i'm on the process to 99 all the arts boosts, this is basically the best new i've heard since i started playing legends

They mentioned that this is an ‘exceptional action in this singular instance,’ which makes sense with Goku and Frieza being the headliner of the most important celebration of the year. We can’t have another Gogeta 4 situation.

I was so happy i read the news for once,this is a massive W for GoFrieza and the legends team(i dont think this will happen regularlly, probably only for anniversary type events)

What the hell!!!!! I understand they should’ve always been like this but this is seriously my favorite anniversary now. The team not only seems so in touch but very proactive

What im sure the legends devs mean with the Ultra - LL situation is that currently Ultras are regarded by the community as the BEST of the best even though LL units are also Premium. They may be suggesting that they will be buffing LL characters so ultras arent running the game

i think the LF ability will be more or less like ultra ability which active when you put ultra unit in leader slot (30% damage & 30% ki recovery) or if they in the same party with certain tag

I think what they mean by "adding unique value" to LL characters is just like the concept of Ultra Abilities for Ultra units, so like LF characters will have some kind of power/mechanic/buff unique to them only. Or at least that's how I think they meant it.

They weren’t bad at all but I definitely think they needed this I just felt like they should’ve been better and after looking at this I can tell they’re gonna be amazing this is probably what everyone wanted I hope they do this more often 👍🏾

I hope that LL Change they mention at the and happens in a way where it rewards you for building a team around the tag, but doesn't make it feel so restrictive. Anything that could add more Value to LF characters I think would be good. Cant expect em to make it so LLs are on the Ultra Level, but closing that gap a bit would be beneficial.

16:16 I'm actually fine with Ultra abilities in regards to team building - it's a deterrent from just spamming a full ultra team (at least it's supposed to be). What I don't like is how THEY'RE ALL THE SAME. When the first f2p Ultras released, their Ultra abilities were all different. Goku got a whopping 90% dmg from full Ultra ability, and Omega actually gave support to your team based solely on your battle members, and buffed himself based on bench. They also didn't require to be in Leader slot to get those buffs! But instead every summonable Ultra has been basic dmg and ki recovery. The same numbers and stats, FOR EVERY SINGLE ONE. What is the purpose of an ULTRA ABILITY if they're all the same? Imagine an Ultra ability that gave allies cut penetration or reduced dmg received. There's so much potential just being wasted. TL;DR Ultra abilities suck because they're all the same, they should branch them out and give more unique effects like UL Omega instead of just dmg and ki recovery.

Tbh these changes are perfect. I would always find myself on the goku side being attacked but had no vanish, so the additional vanish restoration when switching to frieza will allow them more opportunities to get hits in and avoid attacks. I think these changes were very needed especially bc when switching to goku and frieza for their rising rush counter a noob like me was never sure if they had the nullification so i would be afriad of it and even if they didnt and i managed to counter it their was no way for me to counter attack. These changes will make him all the much better especially since before them jiren was being called the best unit on the banner. Gladd to see gofrieza getting a very needed boost

I love that they are making this unit better. They weren't bad on release but I knew that this character (specifically the goku side) didn't really live up to standards. I was hyper focusing the goku green card for example. I was complaining about the fact that he got level 2 card draw for 5 counts when when the sub counts are 3. I don't know if this would sound broken but i would have made the sub counts the same as the card draw speed. But over all really good changes

So lf 17 reduces sub counts by 3 whenever enemy rushes while he's on the field. This character now reduces their sub count for 7 whenever enemy rushes while on standby. So you switch from this character to 17 and if enemy rushes you can just instantly switch back and get a guaranteed counter bcs the enemy loses cover null. Thoughts?

I think this is healthy for the game too, if they apply this to the old units as well

I applied a big skip to Kid Buu’s banner to save cc’s for the anniversary… getting the new unit was awesome, but it was very sad to realize I saved cc’s for a character that wasn’t competitive at all, so, this is very very good to hear! 😧🖤

I think the craziest thing about The cancel buff effects when rising rushing while they are on standby Is that if this aint one time only You can Just switch out to a character with endurance and like ugb wont get their nullify endurance buff and thus They Will survive I dont think ppl Will use it like that much Maybe if their gauge is off or have been used

Very suprised that they dealt with this issue this early when I logged in but big props for this jiren was better as a 1% sparking and they straight up changed them for the better glad I have them at 6 stars now as they did fell kinda underwelming.

Part of me is guessing that what they mean by that, is that their considering the idea of legends limited characters have something similar to what Ultra abilities that Ultra's have but unique to LF units themselves

This is great and needed but everyone thinking this is gonna be something they keep doing is wrong. They made it very clear in red letters this was a one time thing for a very special reason. I don’t expect to see a kit adjustment of this caliber ever again

I love this change and this could be the start of a snowball, much has been said that despite the horrible banners the ultra are the future of the game and that if you want to compete in pvp you better go for the ultra and not for the LL. If this is any indication that they won't hold back as much with LLs anymore and can now compete with ultras, this should also make them consider upgrading ultra banners, because if now an LL can be on par with an ultra (more or less ), then why summon for a ultra? if LL banners are much better. Of course, it is still too early to think about this and we may return to the same thing after the anniversary, but I hope this indicates a new path for legends in general and not seeing a top 10 character with only ultras in a year.

Regarding the future Legends Limited characters I think they will be adding unique abilities for them like Ultra abilities where LL characters will be on their own like an Ultra unit.

Goku Black's banner was the supreme bait. Came back one day before the buff announcement.

From what I understand about the future LF's is that there might be a Legendary Ability which acts the same but with looser terms. Idrk, we will see though .

Damn they straight up just made the goku/frieza character a beast😂. Like before they were still good but not as good as they could’ve been. With all the buffs they get now I think they definitely can be in contention for best unit in game.

What's crazy is that the same situation happened with 7ds grand cross. The main headlining unit was really all that strong, and they are buffing them

Insanely rare but insanely massive legends W, if they keep doing this, realising their mistakes and fixing them in the best ways possible, Legends could become one of the best Gacha games of all time, like, could you imagine if Dokkan did this with Raditz or Beast(less) Gohan, actually buffing them and making them really good units? This is the type of thing that will make me spend money on the game, I cannot praise this enough

This is absolutely the best thing Legends Dev team has done in a pretty long time. They admitted their mistake and also announced to correct it. Now the GoFrieza can actually feel like anniversary headliner. One good thing I noticed in the planned buffs that on standby they reduce their own sub count and cancel enemy buff effects. This not only cancels their cover null but if by chance your active character gets locked in and gogeta blue rushes, he wont be able to nullify endurance. This is better than LF 17 and Ultra Kid Buu!

Thank god I just pulled 2 copies of the LF right now before watching this video

I thought they would do something like ss4 gogeta and give a unique equipment few months later but buffing them is a massive W. Can now save that unique equip for later

Agree because after I evade and opponent using rising rush, they don't counter when I get this unit😢

With the 1k cc I got ultra rose on a one pod green skies. Also, as a returning day one player this anni might be the best and the devs are actually doing a good job right now

They are in fact insane news. First actual buff to a character as far as ive seen,and it’s got the stuff you were mentioning about the goku side,the rush counter being hard to land and them being pretty weak on defense. Legit verbatim lol Pretty crazy

Btw since they now take away buff effects on standby on rush, even if you don't switch to him, it should take away their buffs. Meaning if they rush a character with endurance, even if you don't switch, it can take away their endurance null.

And they're actually pretty good buffs too

I'm happy because I've already invested 700 LL multi power and got their Strike and Special Arts to level 99. Hopefully this gives them good longevity because they are on a bunch of teams

Looks like you'll be doing a new top 10 unit video soon 😂 Also, the Ultra abilities typically just ADD onto their kit to make them meta. Their Kit's are generally on the top end, but still balanced, then the thing that sets them above is the addition of their Ultra abilities, so now we are getting to a point where LF units aren't as valuable because they don't have the same edge as Ultra's. So by giving Ultra like z abilities to the LF's it makes them just as viable in combat, and in turn, gives MORE reason to summon them and not just wait for Ultra's. I agree though, lining up the synergy can be annoying, but remember, it is just adding onto their already good kit. So the full typical 30% damage isn't necessary, it's just a nice extra buff, because now, the 10-15% you may lose on your Ultra, you will now gain on your LF's, so it will still balance.

It takes only 5 years to understand that not good performing characters (in some major aspects) can legimetly be buffed, whitout using the last resort card of the unique equipment. I’m mad because I didn’t summon hard on the banner bc of how mid they are. Now if I summon now after the patch the devs would have already implemented the “bait your cc after reading the buff” patch. Safe to say my cc is going to try and 8 star my rose.

First we Ultra Hit making a return then goku black made a return and now they’re buffing the new legends limited I feel like this has to mean something.
