Unless it's already been confirmed somewhere else. If Kakunsa is in, pretty sure that means Rebrianne is in. It would be really funny if they brought in her giant love form as a giant character.
The priority of Super characters was an inevitability of any Sparking game we'd get at this point in time, and it's already a huge feat that they surpass the number of BT3 in characters for the base roster. I'm not really gonna give the game much slack if most GT, OG Dragon Ball, and movies characters are cut or saved for DLC. There was never gonna be a game with the base roster of all BT3 characters and Super characters, that's just wasn't going to happen. If the game is fun and those new characters are cool to play with, then it's fine by me. I'm still confident most people will be satisfied with the overall roster outside of a few picks. Even adding miscellaneous characters like Kakunsa, the roster is big enough to still have space for more than enough.
Yea unfortunately cutting characters to sale later for dlc was always gonna happen sadly. It’s fucked up that this is the reality. Hopefully we still are satisfied with what we get but this is still a problem.
It depends on what they save for DLC. My fear is that they will lock someone as important as demon king piccolo or Super Saiyan 4 characters so people will want to buy it. No one is buying DLC for Frieza Soldier and they're smart enough to know that
You are the only one who is not Blinded by Tenkaichi Series Coming Back. i agree the Blast and Gut Punch impacts are really clumsy and i don't think at all that they will even bother creating new animations. From the looks of iT .. they seem to be mixing and matching The Budokai / Raging Series with the side effects of Xenoverse ... I also agree the Blast Clash is Speed Up Mess and sadly it won't be changed either. But, still its a new Dragon Ball game... with somewhat similar to the infamous Tenkaichi Series .. so i can't complain agressively..
It's possible the reason Goku didn't react to Vegeta's Final Flash as if he were hit by an Ultimate is because Final Flash is _not_ Vegeta's Ultimate, and they're hiding that reveal for later. Possible Gamma Burst Flash reveal? 👀
Biggest issue with the gameplay is the sound when getting hit. It’s straight out of Xenoverse which sucks. Give me the BT3 hit impacts. Also you already know SSJ4 Gogeta is DLC lol.
I wish the camera was a little closer to the character. The almost over-the-shoulder view of the Tenkaichi games really made it feel like you were piloting the character.
3:08 I LOVE HOW MUCH QUICKER THE TELEPORT JUGGLE IS They really do seem to be trying to get the game to be at least comparable to BT3 in terms of speed
I made my own prediction on the sparking zero roster and the results were that I had 86 characters from dbz and 58 from super which totals to about 144 characters from both shows, and since there’s 164 characters in the roster this means there’s only 20 characters left to fill in for movies,GT,OG and other game characters like android 21. GT only has 17 possible characters and the movies have 21 possible characters. This is all assuming they don’t keep adding random fodder characters from the TOP.
5:15 From what i got. Blast Stocks are unchanged entirely. The new Skill Slots are seperate. Blast Gauge appears to the blue bar itself, and the large number below it. Skill Slots are the little orb to the right of the Blast Gauge, and is seemingly used like for various actions, like the z-counter or Super Deflection. At 5:20 Goku has 3 Blast Gauges (nearly done charging a fourth), with 0 Skill Slots. Vegeta has 4 blast gauges (Close to a 5th) and 3 Skill Slots Goku then gets a skill slot at 5:23
the two things that really bothered me about this game so far, which i hope will be fixed, are 1- the camera sometimes pans instead of cutting, giving the game a dizzying feeling... most egregious is the beam clash, god that looks ugly, i'd take Ultimate Tenkaichi's static landscape shot over that. i feel like the camera follows the character a bit too loosely instead of being in a more fixed position behind them like in BT3. look at the vanish-off, one vanish it cuts to a new shot, then it pans around for the next vanish, then it cuts...etc. my film teachers in university would have failed me if i submitted that kind of scene in any kind of animation/film project. the clash camera angles can be done like tenkaichi 3 or RB2 and i think it will be fin, and i assume (hope) its wonky like this because they're still polishing it... plus we could see a return of various camera angles to choose from. 2- beams feeling like they have no impact. the head of the beam should change on impact and create some effect to show that it's making contact, it's as you put it, very xenoverse-like these things don't necessarily break the game or ruin the hype for me, and could even feel much more natural when you're actually playing the game yourself. feedback between the hands and eyes can make a huge difference in the experience compared to just watching a video of the gameplay... granted the camera's loose nature doesn't help me follow everything that's going on as a spectator, so i'm not even sure about that. regardless, the game has continued to blow expectations out of the water and i'm excited to see what they show us next... lemme see what them single player and multiplayer modes are like
My biggest gripe with the gameplay footage is that Vegeta Gallick Gun soundbyte straight from Budokai 1. Chris Sabat's Vegeta voice changed alot over 20 years, so hearing that was just absolutely mind-boggling.
Some of Goku's voicelines for basic attacks are from the budokai games as well lol I'm _assuming_ they're just placeholder but we'll have to see. They also ripped the _exact_ soundbyte of Sean Schemmel saying "I'm angry" from BT3, only with none of the sound compression.
@@Lowclasswarrior778 Eh, if they don't stay then someone might at least mod the soundbytes back in tbh Sidenote: MODDING I can't wait to see the kind of modding scene this game has
While I appreciate that the ultimate may look underhwelming cinematically, it's hardly a step down from tenkaichi 3. A lot of the beam ultimates in that game lacked much if any impact at all and just kinda blew up with more damage. If a lack of an upgrade on those is what I have to pay for a current gen tenkaichi 4/3.5 I'll take it.
nah there's a huge difference, in BT3 the beam's head changed shape when it made contact and displayed some particle effects that made it clear there's impact on landing, here it looks just like xenoverse where the beam just stops moving forward and tickles your character before it explodes. it's not very bad when it's short like when the galick gun lands on goku early on, but the final flash looked weak as fuck, hell if i didn't look at the hit counter i would have thought it hit goku once and exploded cause there's nothing that sells the blows visually. honestly it just looks like they're not done programming that in... or at least i hope so
@@Isaac-ot6jhif you're saying BT3 beams, yeah that's what i'm also saying. if you're referring to xenoverse and the beams in this showcase of SZ then no, they have no impact, they look like vegeta poked goku with a plastic banana till it explodes... a real banana wold at least get smushed when it touched him. the multiple hits on the final flash also don't help cause they're so rapid they didn't sell the impact as either a series of hard hits or a stream passing through (like flowing river water) it looks like neither... it just looks like the beam stops when it touches you and then explodes after making you twitch rapidly for a bit... if you look at the manga and anime energy beams always were animated with a semi-liquid consistency, like how tien stops yamcha's kamehameha in the tournament, or when goku bends his kamehameha against raditz. for the most part, beams in DBZ always exploded immediately on contact, or hit the character with a stream like they're being swept by underwater currents (perfect cell's death for example), or in the case of the final flash BLASTED THROUGH THEM LIKE A TRUCK. these beams look nothing like that.
1:23 Why have Kakunsa over Ribrianne? Easy This is a trailer about Power vs Speed in case you forgotten. That's why they chose her alongside Burter, Dyspo and Hit. They all represent the theme of the trailer as the Speedsters and Ribrianne doesn't fall in that category.
@@characterlimit12345 you guys need to stop defending RU-vidrs every chance you get. Listen to those lines again. He speculating on the number of characters that Super might get, he even said hardly everyone from Super will make the roster. Then proceeds to ask why have Kakunsa over Ribrianne. If he understood the context of the trailer he wouldn't have asked that. 35 characters from Super including their transformations that we haven't seen yet are filling up the empty slots and that's not even half of Super characters. That's what he's concerned about here. Just watch the video again then you'll see he's talking about who has to make room for who might come in.
I was disappointed with the Final Flash as well. Ultimates used to show a cutscene of the opponent being wiped away by a strong wave attack. And it does remind me of xenoverse, ugly lmao
The Final Flash in Tenkaichi 1 - 3 don't do that.... I just checked, only Budokai games, Raging Blast and Raging Blast 2 do it. Ultimate Tenkaichi does it, but I'm not sure if you want to count that game as one.....
I know it’s nerdy to say as a db fan but one of the main reasons I love these game types is that it lets characters interact and say things they would never be able to say in the normal series.
4:35 Ya know i guess thats true regardless of how you look at it. Ive never broken a controller via stick spinning, but i HAVE damaged stuff with Button Mashing. Both of which has been used before (BT2, BT3, RB1, RB2 uses Stick Spin, Tag Team and UT uses Button Mashing).... but this is neither. So yeah no controller destruction.
I would hope that isn't the case, but judging from the roster size and the new characters, it might happen. I lowkey think GT has a better chance of making it in than OG, because even Xenoverse 2 had GT but didn't have OGDB
OG and GT characters are getting cut in the main game, prior to the livestream, VJUMP has revealed that Goku has total 13 forms in the base game, that includes: Early Goku, Mid Goku(SSJ), Late Goku(SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3), Super Goku(SSJ, SSJG, SSJGB) so at least OG and GT are getting cut from the base game
@@NinjaXFiles pretty clever marketing tactic even if it’s anti-consumer and underhanded 🤷♂️. Those who grew up playing the original Tenkaichi series are now old enough to work well-paying jobs and can thus afford DLC.
At least some Movies will get into it. Some of the movie characters are popular enough to be in Heroes and be actual major villains. GT is 100% out. Not complaining, though. GT representation has been lackluster, to say the least and I would rather pay for the extra content if it means we actually get a good pack of characters, with new additions, instead of the same old characters from mid 2000s, possibly less considering all they seem to care about it is SSJ4 and Omega Shenron.
I believe that since the Final Flash Vegeta is using seems to be a Special Attack (Like the Kamehameha) and not a ultimate it's look bland, but I do agree it needs to be a little bit more impactful, since it is Vegeta from DB: Super. But that's just my guess
Honestly looks disappointing and nothing like the budokai tenkaichi series. It doesn't feel nearly as fluid and the particle effects and screen shaking is over the top. Do the characters look kinda "childish" to anyone else (?)
The last couple of videos have just been a lot of whingeing. Like it doesn't even feel like you're excited for the game. I'll come back once the game is actually out and you have something to actually talk about
