I need to watch those again. The Raging Blast 1 moveset videos were my favorite. The quality of his videos jumped by that point compared to BT3 ones and the moves are just awesome.
You misinterpreted what the Jun Furatani said about selecting characters in Local Multiplayer. What he said was that you and the other player can only pick one character at a time. He said nothing about mirror matches not being a thing or that only player 1 picking both characters. It's good to keep that in mind when spreading info.
It's noteworthy that the preorder says that the characters are only early unlocks, meaning these characters are part of the main game but normally you would need to play the game and unlock them. The preorder bonus just unlocks them from the get go. A more negative reading would be that they are early access characters from the upcoming DLC packs, but I feel like that would be pretty crazy and unusual? I can't think of any game that has done something like that with preorder bonuses, while early unlock is standard practice (the most immediate parallel I can think of would be Elden Ring, also published by Bamco, where the base game as well as the DLC had/have early unlock emotes as preorder bonuses).
All the beams are not small and y'all are looking at old trailers. Look at new gameplay footage that shows you that they've been working on that. Alot of them are bigger now. They have been looking at feedback because the Japanese fans have been complaining even more than us but they've been saying all the same stuff we say, like the beams being small.. the fighting being slowed down. The combos being watered down and no follow up 2nd combo string being in the game anymore and the game feeling like it's designed to make melee an afterthought and just knock the opponent back and do a super .. the Japanese have been heavily complaining about all this and they have no other choice but to be seeing what's being said because these things will make or break the entire game for the company
@@Chiefland7 I don't understand how they're going to make those changes before October, but hopefully, most of those suggestions and complaints will be taken seriously. It sucks that the second combo string isn't in there, but maybe that will change. However, knocking people around with light combos and heavy smashes still works. It's just not easy to pull off. I mean, getting in a decent melee combo and then smashing them around like a pinball before doing a rush super/beam super is usually the go-to.
The only restriction was time chamber only. I don’t think they ever said 1-v-1 only and for picking characters it just meant choosing one at a time as opposed to both players choosing together
I can agree somewhat on the beam attacks being a bit underwhelming, but I think because of how dynamic the map is and the battles will be on set maps, they had to scale something back, that being the beams. As for the caulifla point, I agree they did our girl dirty here. Hopefully, she has Super Saiyan and not just SS2. This also goes for Kale too. For Kefla, I also agree that she does look a bit off. The colors being the way they are could be because of the stage being dark but that’s just speculation. Not to mention the game is a bit saturated and not being totally accurate to what DBZ looks like and more of what DBS looks like. As for the pre order prices, yeah they are a bit pricey. I might still go for the deluxe edition just so I can already have the season pass and I don’t have to pay later on.
I'd be surprised if SS1 Caulifla didn't make it in. The Demo gave us both SS1 and SS2 Gohan as well despite those forms not being in the master and apprentice trailer, and casually revealed some other characters who hadn't shown up in trailers yet like Dr Gero
Jun didn’t say no mirror matches, he said both players in local VS can’t pick a character at the same time So 1P has to pick their team first, then P2, for example
I think your complaints are completely valid, though I don't necessarily agree with all of them. The good thing about character models and inaccuracies is that they're open to feedback and are constantly improving, like they did with Blue Evolution and SS3 Goku, though SS3 still needs more polish, he's still pretty weird-looking, especially in his Dragon Fist win pose. I'm positive they'll change Kefla's model before release, maybe even show it off in an upcoming showcase. As for beam sizes, it's probably for visibility purposes if I were to guess, but that's just me speculating. It's definitely intentional and I'm certain it's not going to change. Something that is definitely not going to change are the prices and game editions. The only reason why I haven't preordered yet is because how absurdly-priced both Deluxe and Ultimate editions are. To me, there's pretty much no substantial difference between Deluxe and Ultimate editions. You're still getting early access and the season pass, which are the most substantial parts of these versions. Unless you really want that power pole outfit, the customization item, or the early Super Shenron, the extra stuff bundled in Ultimate edition is basically worthless. That $10 doesn't seem like a lot until you see what they're charging you that extra amount for, and it is a fucking lot. I'd much rather they didn't tack on early access exclusively to the premium editions. Just give more people the opportunity to play the game early if Bandai is that desperate for pre-orders, even though the game's pretty much guaranteed to sell like hot cakes.
this will be the biggest roster in a dbz game if we get dlc . also i hope the main menu is like the old ps2 games where we see characters in the background
They probably made the beams small because they track the opponents now and it looks a lot more difficult to dodge them so if they were bigger and track you down then you’re fucked
After the Demo came, while it's great to have DBS Broly in the Case, it kinda is a downer that he doesn't have his Base Form before his Ikari Form, Similar Saiyan Kale gets her Base but not Broly is a Little Distracting
I find it strange that people are upset over certain characters not getting forms when months ago people were upset over certain BT3 characters not being in. Shouldn’t cutting down minor transformations be a good thing so it gives space to other characters?
Glad I'm not the only one whose fav Character is Kefla 😃 Yeah, that was a poor Choice of Screenshot. The Fact that there are both SSJ & SSJ2 Kefla in the Game, but you can't tell which one it is in the Trailer, is quite problematic. I do hope they work some more on her, make her buffer. Like in FighterZ. But does Caulifla even have a SSJ Form? Thought she went straight to SSJ2.
Sort of in a way, Dragon Ball Super has been redeemed in my eyes because of the games. I do hate the cringey and annoying Mary Sue Saiyans, and I despise Dragon Ball Super as a whole, but I’m kind of glad it exists because of the games. The only good thing about Super was the Broly movie, but even that film’s legacy was a little tarnished because of Broly’s lame character in Super Hero. Reminds me how Beerus went from being cool in Battle of Gods to lame, one-note, and uninteresting afterwards. For the most part, Dragon Ball Super is only good without any context, like if you ignore the bad storytelling and fake tension that goes with the action scenes. Everything about the U7 vs. U6 Tournament, Goku Black, and Tournament of Power arcs would’ve been fine if they were just included into a video game. I’m glad that Dragon Ball Super became successful with its marketing for games (without the series, we wouldn’t have had FighterZ and Sparking Zero), but I’m very disappointed that its only legacy was for marketing, as opposed to OG, Z, and even GT despite its flaws.
I can say that Broly didn’t really get his character ruined in DBS Superhero. He wasn’t the main vocal point of the story so how they handled him in having him train on Beerus planet, and learn from Goku and Vegeta was a good call. If they hadn’t went this route, I’m certain Broly would’ve been a forgotten character which DB has done many times before. With the U6 saiyans thing, Just remember how easily Goten and Trunks received Super Saiyan. They acquired the form with little effort and at least U6 saiyans trained to at least acquire the form. Also, I recommend reading the Moro arc in the DBS manga or looking up a RU-vidr who covers the entirety of it. I suggest Carthu’s Dojo or Mondo Cool. You might enjoy it. I do agree that Super is being used more as a marketing tool for Dragon Ball more so than Z, OG Ball, and GT.
@@Idkitzjushdc I seriously hate the defense for Kale and Caulifla by comparing them to Goten and Trunks in a manner that’s not even detailed. Unlike you, I’m going to go into detail and debunk this defense argument. The U6 Saiyans are 100 times worse than Goten and Trunks because of the cringe-worthy tingle in back method for going Super Saiyan. And Caulifla was able to go Super Saiyan 2 immediately afterwards, without even mastering Super Saiyan 1 like Goku and Gohan did. With Goten and Trunks, it was their Saiyan genes from Goku and Vegeta that allowed them to transform into Super Saiyan at a very young age. It’s not good writing, but it’s infinitely better than Kale and Caulifla because there never was a tingle in back method for Goten and Trunks. And Goten and Trunks transforming into Super Saiyan 3 as Gotenks is actually believable. Just because Gotenks is able to awaken the transformation, doesn’t mean that Goten and Trunks can do it by themselves. It’s fusion’s power that awakened the form. Also, Goten and Trunks trained to unlock Super Saiyan 3 in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. As for Broly, I really hope that he’ll have so much character development across coming arcs. That’s what Toriyama did with Gohan, Vegeta, and Piccolo throughout Z. There should be a power struggle between Goku and Frieza to gain Broly’s trust (that’s what the ending of the Broly movie set up), and I would love to see a story arc where Broly turns against Goku and Vegeta after finding out that they were Gogeta and tried to kill him. Broly instantly being cool with Vegeta rubs me the wrong way, because of what King Vegeta did to him. Literally, Broly was getting angry at Vegeta before charging at him in the movie, so why is he now friends with him? Also, Vegeta tried to kill Broly by blasting him into the water. Broly’s role in Super Hero is an example of disconnection and no consequences from the previous storyline. Broly didn’t need to be in Super Hero at all.
Respectfully, Trunks and Goten and U6 saiyans are similar to each other for acquiring Ss1 due to achieving the form with little effort. I know the whole “tingle theory” is not your cup of tea but it is what it is. If you wanna take the S-Cell theory into account, then U6 saiyans have more S Cells and can turn into Super more easily than U7 saiyans can due to how peaceful their planet is. The more S-Cells you have, and the more peaceful your environment is, the more likely you are able to transform into a Super Saiyan. This also explains why Goten and Trunks were able to transform so easily. As for the Broly bit, I disagree. I don’t think that would be a smart move to make and Broly knew that he was fighting Gogeta in the film and knew if he got hit by that blast he certainly would’ve been killed by it. The way they’re handling Broly now makes sense it doesn’t ruin his character. The only reason why he was angry at Vegeta was because of his father Paragus wanting to enact revenge.
@@Idkitzjushdc No, you don’t get it. Broly never knew that he was fighting a fusion of Goku and Vegeta, especially since Goku and Vegeta never told him about them fusing during the final scene of the Broly movie and throughout Super Hero (if they told Broly the truth off screen and he just accepts it, then that is some crappy writing right there). He was feral, so his brain couldn’t possibly come to the conclusion that Goku and Vegeta were still fighting him as a fused warrior. One of Broly’s characteristics is his PTSD, like with the shock collar, so he should also be having PTSD with his father Paragus’ death, and Gogeta beating him down and nearly killing him. In Broly’s perspective, Gogeta was just a mysteriously powerful warrior (Broly didn’t even know Gogeta’s name), so it should really hit him hard when he finds out that the strong fighter was Goku and Vegeta fused together. That’s why there should be a story arc for Broly going on Frieza’s side after he feels betrayed and lied to by Goku and Vegeta (being friends that tried to kill him). Then, Broly could eventually be convinced to forgive Goku and Vegeta, rejoin them, and beat Frieza, especially if Frieza drops the bomb that he killed Paragus. Also, screw the S-Cells and modern Akira Toriyama’s writing. I don’t care if you’re insulted by what I just said. Just because Toriyama died, doesn’t mean I am not going to criticize his work on Super and Daima (I know Daima hasn’t come out yet, but it’s most likely going to suck because of the premise of everyone turning into babies, and it all being done for stupid comedy; GT actually had legit tension for Goku being turned into a kid, and it wasn’t just played for laughs). I am not going to glaze the creator, just because he died. RIP Akira Toriyama and thank you for OG and Z, but Super and Daima ain’t it. If the franchise continues, Toriyama no longer being at the helm could potentially be a good thing, if we get a competent writer that treats the storytelling, tension, and characters like Vegeta (Vegeta could finally beat a main villain in the franchise, because Toriyama and his stupid hatred for this character, won’t be there to screw up the writing) and Broly with the respect they deserve. It may not be what Toriyama and his glazers want, but it’s what the franchise needs.
@@supersaiyanfox91901. The S-Cell theory is a legitimate argument for why they (U6 saiyans and Trunks & Goten) can become Super Saiyan. Whether it’s good writing or something out of left field, it is what it is and it at least explains why they achieved that power up so quickly. I rather have some explanation than none at all tbh. 2. You do have a point on Broly not knowing who Gogeta was, but I really don’t think it would hit Broly hard if he found out he was going to be killed by a fused Goku and Vegeta. He was seen as a major threat and Goku tried to calm him down until Frieza made things worse. I’m certain they probably told him the truth off panel anyhow and for him to go back to Frieza would honestly be stupid. Why on earth would he go back to the person that killed his own Father? That to me, makes no sense. If anything it would be better if he became his own antagonist but he wouldn’t be much of a threat anyhow due to Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Piccolo all being stronger than him at this point. So, I still disagree there needs to be a story based off Broly. We’ve had him as an antagonist before we don’t need it again. If Broly somehow is not told about the information you’ve provided and learns about his Father’s death at the hands of Frieza and Goku and Vegeta nearly killing him, it would be in the black Frieza arc, and the most likely thing that would happen to Broly is that he’d be shocked that’s about it. 3. Let’s actually wait until Daima comes out before jumping to conclusions and saying what it is when we haven’t seen the finished product. Daima is for those who haven’t seen the original Dragon Ball story which many people in the DB community haven’t seen or read. I understand why everyone turning into kids might be upsetting to some but for goodness sake’s that is such a minor problem. The story is what matters not trivial stuff like that. 4. I never said you couldn’t criticize Tori’s writing 😂. His best writing was 2nd half of DB and the first half of Z. Vegeta getting a win on a major villian is fair but him being the main character? No. Gohan should be the main vocal point since he’s the next generation.
Is it just me or are most characters less buff than they should be? Like even SSJ Goku is looking a bit thin, someone give him a sandwich or something.
These games feels more Raging Blast 2 and Xenoverse 2 than BT3. Yet still, I feel these game is made more for Streamers and people with money than All public, witch made me sad
