yo Globku i dont know if you noticed but the super punch move goku used is actually from Super dragonball heroes. considering Ultimate tenkaichi had heroes content its logical this spike game also would and seems it already has.
Something I noticed is that some of the voice clips are reused from the original Budokai games, but at a slightest deeper pitch. I hope it’s not just a placeholder. Some of the voice clips from those games were absolutely hilarious 😅
I'm torn on this, because while a lot of those older lines are funny, it's also a little jarring to me. Chris Sabat's Vegeta sounds almost nothing like he did all those years ago. Schemmel's Goku is in a better position, but then we get "Kayo-ken" when they haven't pronounced it that way since *Burst Limit*.
8:33 During the trailer, you can also hear the music change from the standard fight music to something else and then back into the fight music once the camera snaps back. There is also the sound effect that is very reminiscing of this losing lock mechanic from BT3 where Goku appears to find Vegeta very quickly after losing sight of him.
I’m so excited for the competitive scene behind sparking zero. With the ways that they have innovated with movement in bt3, I am really excited to see how we can push the movement possibilities in sparking zero!
With my background of bt3 the trailer does not really look like they changed much and watching a different video beforehand confirms it, to be fair some of these moves don't look the same as the camera is smoother the follow-up punches with teleportation was a combo in bt3 but the froze the camera were you start the combo. But if you have a few minutes to check training in bt3 you too will see that most things were already there. I'm very sure the vanishing surprise attack was already in bt3 if you are close enough you could block and choose a "arrow" direction and you will teleport to your desired location, that was there to avoid a fist on rush in or a sluggish approach.
@@konstantinschreiner2122 most things looks the same, but with the addition of the quick dash and the fact that it takes ki, movement might look very different. The devs have also not confirmed the additions of dragon dashes so one of the most crucial movement options for long combos, dragon dash cancels, might not even be in the game causing us comp bt3 players to have to find a new method of high speed movement (not including the thing called high speed movement)
@@MinorPumpingIronI wish we had a break your limits features which is basically as holding L2 while doing a beam super when we're at full blue charge. Using it would have made us unable to use ki for some seconds but landing it would have given win most of the time.
In BT3 you were always able to skip forms, if you were Goku(End) and held the stick in a direction you could skip from base to SSJ3 so i think its unlikely that little boost is for transformations
what i’m worried about is that if they do a dbs version of goku and vegeta, and you can’t go into each form seperately. like i wanna be able to go from kaioken to ss1/2/3/god so on
@@deCrayonn they are already like that in the original game. Goku early - Saiyan saga moveset no transformations except kaioken move. Goku Mid - just Super Saiyan from when he beat freiza. Goku End - SS1, 2, 3 as the 3 forms and EOZ moveset. Now they already confirmed for this game Goku Super - SSJ1, SSJG, SSB, with a Kaioken move. Same for vegeta, he gets a Super variant with SSJ, SSJG, SSB
The boost feature in clashes was in Tenkaichi 2 and 3. You'd press the special move trigger and it would rapidly drain your Ki and make you more likely to win the clashes. Your opponent had to work better to beat you, basically. I'm curious to know how that translates to Sparking Zero.
the sound could easily fade into the ultimate song and then keep going from where it was. Or the ultimate song could be a more intense version of the same song which then alter between them according to the situation.
So this is a shot in the dark for the transformations but I wonder if one of those stocks makes the transformation stronger. Like using the regular Skill Count gives you the regular animation but when you use the unique Skill Count maybe it’ll be like how we saw Goku go SSJB in the reveal for Sparking Zero?
The Max Power music should definitely tune in and out smoothly. Perhaps it could be a more "intense" or "epic" version of the base track which transitions when someone is into max power and turns back when it ends.
Need movement aura like kakarot and the camera angle while moveing is amazing also need a combat system needed like dbz kakarot modded. Also need special skills like kakarot. The game will be op.
I liked the system of obtaining items and fusing those items to create hidden characters. I hope there are “hidden” characters in this as well. Like, it looks like the roster is full, but there are secret/special ways of obtaining more.
In raging blast 2 there was a minor threshold for transformations so maybe that’s what that is? I don’t remember you needing that same threshold to power down though, very well could be. Also might be, as you alluded to, potential transformations when the add MUI and evo vegeta
I think the default song should resume where it left off before entering max power mode One little detail I noticed was SSB Vegeta's final flash wasn't an ultimate like base Vegeta
If those numbers next to the Skill Count are for transformations only, my theory is that they still generate one stock even at the last form because of fusions. I assume you can go straight from Blue to Vegito or Gogeta Blue.
For the music, it would have been nice if they did context-dependent music like in FF7 Rebirth for example.. If someone goes into sparking mode, it just transitions seamlessly to a heavier version of the stage's song at the same spot and then when the mode is depleted, just transitions back to the original version of the song in the same spot.
5:58 Something I noticed is that beams seem to home in on their target earlier in the fight when Goku uses the Kamehameha you can see the beam curve to hit Vegeta and even when Vegeta uses the Galick Gun on Goku it curves slightly so I think beam attacks are gonna be harder to dodge this time around Edit: Also I’m glad we came to similar conclusions on those “Transformation Stocks” it’s hard to tell if their anything else atm but I guess we’ll have to wait for more
@Globku in tenkaichi 2 you could use more of your ki to gain the advantage in beam struggles. That mechanic in the trailer might be a revamped version of that
if the game runs smooth and we can make our own lobbies this game could have a lack of the common elements of the series like original storymodes and it would still be a massive success However.... If the game lags, has matchmaking issues, no lobbysystem and no form of practise options, This will be the biggest disappointment since Jump Force.
@@cjwilldoit8938anime fighting games specifically, but yeah, absolutely. The lack of very basic content and options is fucking atrocious in the last couple years of arena fighters like this game.
This is why, as good as it looks now, I'm not nearly as hyped as everyone else. This game is being developed by Spike Chunsoft, after all, and their games haven't exactly been bangers since the days of Tenkaichi. They've either lacked basic content and modes like you mentioned already, had performance issues, or were unbalanced messes that struggle to have any combo depth, like Jump Force, with all the parry/vanishing mid combo breakers.
I just noticed that the launching combo that goku does on vegeta (sorry it's been a while and forgot the name) but it seems the motion blur have been removed or is not as prominent as in tenkaichi 3, and also I don't quite like the fact that the characters will be facing the opponent at all times, I feel like that it may make it feel like we are forced to keep looking at the opponent and yea, but these are minor nitpicks, I'm sure the game will be awesome
Nah i dont think blue kaioken is a transformation(it will most likely be a power up like regular kaioken) and if it was a form they would've included him at the end of the trailers in that character grid
W breakdown I also did a breakdown specifically pointing out things from raging blast 2 such as the snap vanishes, the cut in for more deliberate supers vs those like the kamehameha or masenko
The game looks amazing. Although I do have a few minor points. The only problems I see is that the beams don't hit as hard as in the old games. And like others have pointed out, bigger beams, both the kamehameha and the final flash are to skinny. Also, I need to see that whole screen explode when I'm getting hit by a beam like the old days. Also still waiting to see the classic gut punch that leaves the opponent stunned and the trip. And blocking different directions as well. Just a few minor things that I am sure we will see soon. I am so stunned by how good it looks though I mean it looks amazing, sill wild to think this game is actually coming out!! Cant wait to play this game🔥!
The fact they are even taking stuff from SDBH is fantastic, that just means more amazing moves for the game like SS4 vegeta dragon fist, then again Ultimate tenkaichi already had Heroes content so its logical Sparking zero who has the same devs could aswell and that Super Punch goku does is from SDBH when Goku fights Super Hearts in ep 13 so it seems they already are.
i feel like the music should only change when one of the player's health bar reaches a critical state or when a player does an ultimate skill. and i agree. the music restarting constantly during the match will throw off the flow of the gameplay. if the music changes it should only change once until the end of the match
Are you forgetting about SSBKx20? The one upgrade meter left for Goku and Vegeta after Blue are probly SSBKx20 and Royal Blue. UI Goku will be a seperate characther since it has a not yet mastered version.
2:32 I don't think anyone pointed this out, and I might be wrong, but Goku's combo string here looks like a reference to his kick assault on Zamasu when he couldn't use his hands.
Dawg what happened? I’ve knows your name for years you should be so much bigger. I think YT might hate you or something because I haven’t been recommended a video of yours in YEARS.
Guys this game will be a masterpiece 🥹 the guys at spike chunsoft are genius they’ve kept every great combat detail from the original series & even seem to have took a note from the “meta” of DBZ legends mobile combat & combined the existing & new mechanics (smoke screens) from the tenkaichi series to create combat that looks super fun competitive & refreshing. The cherry of top it all, visually it’s STUNNING!!! I’m beyond excited. This amongst other things will be a massive tribute to the late Toriyama I know they will put their best foot forward. RIP Akira Toriyama 🙏🏾
We need LOCAL multiplayer so we can play with our friends at home like the old times. I get that they want to sell more consoles, but it would be a disservice to the original game as it was one of the main cool things Tenkaichi had back then!
I live for this content, thanks globku you take me back to high school hanging with my friends talking Dragonball wondering if we could learn how to fly when Gohan teaches videl
I wish they brought back the matrix dodge from bodukai 3 that would spend meter but instead of mashing the x button you should have to be able to time it.
Since you're mentioning fixes/improvements please refere sway/sonic sway in a future video. Hopefully they will include thay function. Preferably closer to the way it was in Raging Blast where you had to hold block and time the square button correctly.
I personally really love the new combat system. The movement looks solid, the combo's fleshed out and the skill and transformation points add some much needed resource management to the combat. My only real complaint is that the camera is a bit weird. I really hope that character can feel unique compared to one another instead of "Here is ki blast spam, high speed rush, explosive wave, power up and the BT3 classic... *FULL POWER ENERGY WAVE*
If anyone played tenkaichi 3 or even 4 the mod, then you know how good the combos could be, so hopefully this isnt the full exstent of the melee combat.
All I want it What if Stories, imagine what if for the ToP they grab cooler or Z Broly, What if Cell Max finished cloning, what if Yamcha was brought to the future, just some silly stuff like that.
Vanishing assaut isnt technically new. Its there in Dragon Ball Legends. You swipe your finger on the screen and your character immediately closes the distance by vanishing in high speed towards your Opponent.
I think more creators have to address the local play issue the developers are listening to the community and the more attention the topic gets the better
the supers (kamehameha and galick gun) bend. so maybe they auto lock on to your opponent which would answer "why would you use a skill stock to deflect instead of dodging". maybe there's no dodging beams unless you're far enough away.
It seems like dodging would be difficult considering how fast the move comes out and the fact that all the charge up is a cutscene before the games resumes.
@@akxay yea that could also be a big reason to use it. Either way it does (so far) seem like the game would want us to use those stocks which could make this a competitive arena fighter. Make us think more strategically in matches
the new consoles are so fast they can’t build in the mini games during the loading screen 😢 my ps2 was so old i could eat more then 60 ramens and made all of the push ups:D
They should def fix the hitboxes. Makes no sense getting "hit" by a super beam that doesn't even connect. Those are things that should be left in XV lol. Other than that the game looks very promising
I wanna point out, obviously just speculation but, in the Goku vs Vegeta rival trailer we do see a glimpse of what seems to be a SS blue kaioken super for Goku which could mean that extra transformation stock Goku gets could be for the SS Blue kaioken transformation.
Big fan of the Dragon Ball franchise. Bigger fan of the three original Budokai games though (Budokai 2*), but as great as Tenkaichi 3 was, followed by decent Xenoverse 1, I've grown tired of the Tenkaichi style. I wasn't impressed with the trailer, but you kinda changed my mind now that I'm carefully looking at the gameplay. I'd need a feel for it though. Xenoverse 2 isn't fun in combat, and I don't know about Kakarot yet until I try it. FighterZ isn't my style at all.
They need to improve the aura and the explosions of deflected ki waves every super saiyan transformation should have a base an burst aura they can improve the beam clashes as well
one of things i want to fix it.s explosions i thinks it.s bad right now i don.t want old gens 2D dust i want 3D and good looking explosion especially the ultimate attack
I hope the it's possible to not have the music change during the max power stuff. Honestly I didn't like it in RB2 either (but I didn't like many of the soundtracks on that game anyway) Also I wonder if deflecting an attack works similar to RB2, which left your opponent open to subsequent attack. It HAS to do something like that now that it cost to deflect blasts now. It would be great if you can use this to deflect those ki blast barrage supers.
I'm concerned that they will remove the complexity from the BT3 series. Like I think they have little to no reason to REMOVE features, tweak? Sure but I really hope fully charged attacks are still in the game as well as other mechanics.
I know this comment is late but are we sure it has a light and heavy attack? I didn't like kakorot because the one attack button it was to repetitive, I have to have a heavy and light.
@@jaydenn2579Goku(z-End) who can transform into ssj1-3 is confirmed to be a returning character and we litteraly saw Goku turn ssj2 and 3 in the rivals trailer
my nitpick is that goku has very fluid facial animations, while vegeta is stuck with one default expression. i hope this is not what the final build will be like
The fact they are even taking stuff from SDBH is fantastic, that just means more amazing moves for the game like SS4 vegeta dragon fist, then again Ultimate tenkaichi already had Heroes content so its logical Sparking zero who has the same devs could aswell and that Super Punch goku does is from SDBH when Goku fights Super Hearts in ep 13 so it seems they already are.
Just add little more dragon ball z burst limit mechanic into the game, say what you want about the game? It’s was a good since 08 n was Lot rushed since lunch day. Let me know sum communities, want see different opinions of version games since decade ago in the comments section below.
its just not gonna happen with the camerawork in this game lol. it def couldnt handle rendering double of everything if they just did splitscreen and the whole reason original tenkaichi had a weird camera was so that both players can follow themselves and the game rarely ever had to split the screen
