This video explores Dragon Ball training: would the training used by Goku and Vegeta really work? How should you train for martial arts? What exactly is "ki"?
I've made videos in the past exploring flow states and how they relate to ultra instinct, as well as the effectiveness of weighted clothing. This video is going to focus more on the explosive calisthenics we see in the show, as well as the more "out there" training methods used by Master Roshi, Whis, and others.
The surprise is that Dragon Ball training as depicted in the shows would actually be fairly effective! But we can take it even further beyond with some functional training methods using bands, cables, and more.
Enjoy!

I had a dream as a kid that I went to my cousin's basement and a creepy doll started slowly coming towards me, I remembered in the dream somehow, the idea that in dreams you can do whatever you want, even fly.. so I decide to kamehameha this cursed doll. I charged up and motioned a kamehameha with all I had, and nothing happened. I just ran upstairs after that.

Some of the most relaxed fighters I've seen are the Muay Thai fighters. When they kick they kick straight through without holding back or snapping back. I don't know much about Martial Arts but from I've seen that they throw some devastating blows for their size. Thai men tend to be on the smaller leaner side but wow do they have crazy strength.
@oxtheunlikelycontemplator2682
@oxtheunlikelycontemplator2682 3 года назад
Maxick who gets a mention near the end of the video said he was never heavier than I think 155 lbs. He was one of the first people to successfully clean and jerk with double body weight or more. It was around four hundred lbs. And he claimed much of his strength came from muscle control That is to say ability to relax muscles antagonistic to the movements he wanted to perform while keeping the necessary muscles fully engaged. He was also known for lifting men forty pounds heavier than himself overhead with one hand ten times while not spilling beer from the mug he would hold in his other hand.

They do specialized training for martial arts and have different bodys, long muscles that relax when in rest position, not circular, no hyperthropy, or poping veins. The Bioneer has a great body and physical condition and strength but this is not for martial arts or sports where you throw punches or kicks. Big muscles and muscular resistance training are not good overall for the above said sports. What you need is potency, power, not strenght and you need alactic anaerobic resistance not anaerobic lactic resistance. The harder and faster you hit or kick, the more muscles you lose, and the other way around.

This man is so underrated. He inspired me to look at different aspects of fitness and being the most versatile version of myself. Maybe this is much to ask but could you look at a particular martial art? That is judo, i'd love to you see analyze its biomechanics and come up with ways to train specifically for that. I think the outfit/ clothes makes it such different style of grappling compared to wrestling for example.
