Geekdom's first video is something I admittedly wouldn't have watched back then. But at the time, I was just as pumped as him

Coming off Battle of Gods, this was honestly such an important trailer. BoG was really good and showed Toriyama still had it. That could have been the final movie if it wasnt done properly. There was that silent two year period where we wondered if there was gonna be anything else though. But then, RoF confirmed Dragonball might truly be here to stay, after 16 years of nothing (except videogames). Add on the fact we were getting a new transformation, the most icnonic villain Freeza was returning, other characters were finally going to fight again and apparently Vegeta was going to get a main role, this looked like it would have potentially been one of the best in the franchise. That... didnt end up happening, but if there is one thing we can thank ROF for, its the fact we got Super. Regardless of how you feel about that show, it helped revive Dragonball again to a level of popularity it hadnt had in years. I see girls and guys at the gym rocking SSB goku shirts, the ultra instinct theme has become iconic, Goku vs Jiren fight nearly caused an international incident between South America and Japan, Broly was one of the highest grossing anime films of all time etc. Battle of Gods to this day holds up as a great movie and its really well done, it got the ball rolling. Ressurection F is honestly trash, but it was the big push that ball needed for bringing Dragonball back (thats a lot of balls 👀)
