One of the very few canon couples in a shonen anime I actually like. They are just such an interesting and real couple in my opinion and they are both still interesting characters without the other.
Real talk: I'm not fond of DBZ at all, but this video and the occasional fan art got me to inadvertently ship it. That's how you know you got a quality ship on your hands my dude.
Agreed 100% This is why they are such a popular ship in DBZ and in anime overall. Unlike all the other ships in the show, these two are BOTH relevant to the overall plot as individual characters with their own stories so they both have had a lot of noticeable character development throughout the series. This makes both of them interesting to the audience and more realistic. Not to mention that their personalities work well together so you can actually understand WHY they are together and HOW they eventually developed feelings for each other. Their interactions/dynamics are also just very interesting lol
I agree, Vegeta and Bulma have good storylines as a couple and as individual characters too. I also like how Bulma creates many devices to help Vegeta in his training and is rather supportive of his pursuits as a warrior compared to ChiChi constantly nagging Goku about being a fighter and needing to get a “real job”. It may help that Bulma is part of the richest family in the DBZ world so Vegeta doesn’t need to get a job. But part of me wonders if Goku and ChiChi really need money that much, why doesn’t ChiChi try to get a job or encourage Goku to enter more tournaments that give out money, the main tournament that is featured in the series gives out millions of zeni (the form of currency in their world) to fighters who go very far in the tournament and since this is Goku it is obvious that he will go far in the tournament.
I think Bulma and Vegeta worked so well is because most canon couples (especially in anime and manga, sorry anime/manga fans) are *painfully boring*. Whereas Vegeta and Bulma were a shock but still plausible, and have a pretty realistic relationship. Sure they argue but it's hardly abuse (c'mon guys, Jesus), they both come from the same sort of background (rich/spoiled/well-educated) and, as you mentioned, they both are well-rounded characters that have separate interests and challenges and arcs but yet work consitantly as a team.
I remember I watched Dragonball in reruns when I was little (I had the silliest crush on Trunks), but I was kind of shame of it because it was a “boys” show. Not so long ago I catched Dragonball Abridged, which inspired to finish the series, and Vegeta and Bulma where my pairing, I do love how unique their relationship is.
Vegeta has always been the character I liked the most from bdz although I didn't watch the entire series as a child. So when I learned he and Bulma had a child I was surprised and didn't understand how that was possible. A few years ago I rewatch the entire series and now Vegebul is definitely my otp. I think the realistic development is one of it high points.
normalgirlcvco Vegeta is definitely the best part of DBZ since he had the best character development out of all of the characters, he was also a bit of a bad ass so it makes me happy that Dragonball Super is allowing him to be more of Goku’s equal in power instead of the guy that would constantly train to be a great warrior only to have Goku one up him once again.

Back in the day when the Trunks saga was coming out(I pre-ordered and bought the VHS tapes lol), I was honestly floored by the pairing and then when they had those gaps in sagas like you talked about, I had to read everything about it. It still makes me so sad to think of all the purges that happened back then. I think Vegebul wasn't hit nearly as hard as Kakaveg(which I also read), and the only places that have the old fics these days are the REALLY old independent sites that have somehow managed to keep online after all these decades.
This ship and these two characters(along with Piccolo) are the reason I come back to DBZ. I love them so so much. Favorite canon couple out of anything......probably either Inuyasha/Kagome or Scarlet Witch/Vision
I was rather young when I started watching the DBZ with my older brother, but I appreciate it so much now as a fan. Vegebul and Kakaveg are my main ships for the fandom; I think such a problematic character in Vegeta lends himself to these different relationships where cultural conventions, Saiyan aggression v. Human empathy, can be a basis for conflict and growth :3
This is one of my few het pairings and probably the first couple I ever shipped. I did fall off dbz around the GT era but hearing about a softer relationship between vegebul is definitely tempting me to dive back in with Super. Strangely enough I love both goku x vegeta and bulma x vegeta and it would be nearly impossible to choose between them. As a whole though, my otp changes according to my mood and usually rotates around the aforementioned two with a lot of Sciencebros thrown in and some JohnLock added for flavour.
I enjoy Super, I would definitely say that Vegeta and Bulma is a highlight of the series both as a couple and individual characters. You get to see more of Vegeta in a heroic role giving his redemption arc in the Buu Saga more of an impact since you get to see actual results. Bulma also gets more time to shine like she did in Dragonball and earlier Dragonball Z.
In addition to the reasons to dive into Super, the VA for Bulma has implied that in the new movie Vegeta is supposed to express his feelings about Bulma.
The DBZ fandom is one of the fandoms where I prefer canon relationships but I have fanon ships as well. For DBZ my favorite canon couple is 18 x Krillin (especially after the abridged series), but VegeBul and Gohan x Videl are close seconds. My favorite canon ship out of all media is Aarmau (Aphmau x Aaron).
I've been watching many of your videoes for a while now and I'm so glad you finally cover some Japanese anime couple! As I recall, Dragonball is one of the first manga I've ever read since I was in grade school, my dad's grew up with it and so it became (my brother's and)my obsession. To be honest, back then, I was super naive and didn't really ship anybody lol and has a HUGE crush on Gohan and Trunks. (Hell, I even created my own character to be added into the narrative asdfkl;) But there's one couple that I rooted for, that is Vegeta/Bulma (the reasons are as you explained in the video) To me, being wih Bulma is a quite a dynamic shift of Vegeta, and I just love to see him gradually change to become a better person and a better father. Therefore, they're my favorite canonical ship. But of course, later on when I grew up a little and started shipping. And boy, I shipped them hard. Since I love everything about DB series, there are lots of ships that fascinate me (We're talking about harbor here). My ultimate OTP in this must be Gohan/Piccolo (SINCE GOHAN IS MY FAV SO IM KINDA SHIP HIM WITH EVERYONE SO LOL) I've always loved the master/protégé dynamic and the idea that Gohan(technically raised by Piccolo), who's always has a crush on his master, has grown to be a fine man and finally feel worthy enough to confess his love is absolutely cute. (In the DBZ anime, there's even I song that sang be Gohan called ''I like piccolo-san!' can you believe that??) And the fact that Piccolo, the former evil king who hates children, grew fond of Gahan as time goes by, always makes my heart go doki doki T/////T My second fav pair is Goku/Vegeta. Again, as you explained, these two has rivalry dynamic and literally drive the other to push through their own limits to become the very best(aka the most powerful person in the universe idk) Other than Bulma, Goku is the only one I see that actually makes Vegeta seems harmless and cute, so I absolutely adore them. My third is future!Trunks/future!Gohan. Again, with the master/protégé dynamic, plus the apocalypse! They were the only two left to protect the earth, Gohan taught Trunks everything he knows, lost his arm once, and finally die in order to protect Trunks. Tragic love. However, it's more of a one-sided here since I didn't really think Gohan could think of any romantic relationship at the time(Hence, busy protecting the earth) but Trunks, on the other hand, might develop his feelings for Gahan from admiring to something more romantic. Therefore, he is pinning for Gahan's affection. Even though I put 'future' in front of their names, but sometimes I think future!Trunks/present!Gohan or present!Gohan/present!Trunks are also interesting, but just for small crushes and plain admiration. This shall bring us to my, last but not least, favorite DBZ pairing, Goten/Trunks. Considering they were practically raised together, they ought to be closet friends and trust each other more than anyone else. Hell, the reason why they can use the 'fusion' technique was that they sync mentally too. And with Trunks being slightly older, he likes to be a bit bossy to Goten at times when they were young. Goten, being innocent like his father, just went along willingly because he likes Trunks so much. But when they grow up in GT, Goten became a playboy and kinda overpower Trunks lol I really like to think that when they hit puberty, they both have crushes on each other but so oblivious and don't know what to do. Man, the mutual pinning is just incredible! And that concludes my favorite DB series' ships. I'm sorry for this long comment, but it's been so long that I could talk about these ships since everyone around me is either oblivious to these ships(they just read it for the fight scenes) or they don't care about DB at all. Vegebul is one of my top 5 OTP's of all time. They reeled me in to watch Super and I was not disappointed. Vegeta protects Bulma, brags about her, is proud of her, and puts his family above training when he is really needed. Bulma is not a damsel in distress. She sasses monsters, slaps gods and bribes celestial beings, and as exasperating as she can be, Vegeta is obviously proud of their family and focuses on them to draw strength instead of viewing them as a weakness. Seeing that continuing character development from the Buu saga alone makes DBS worth a watch.

I’ll always love this pair because of their chemistry and how their relationship grew. It developed in DBZ and have enjoyable moments in Super. This would probably be my favorite canon pairing. Though, Kanera (Kanan and Hera from Star Wars Rebels) is another that I enjoy since they have a history and the fact that their group is looked at as a sort of family unit in the fandom. Plus they had a kid at the end of the series.
Vegeta and Bulma are so well matched, and they always have been. I've been shipping them for over a decade easily. I remember the big boom of all the 'how did they's' and such, and there's never been a pair in any fandom I've ever had more fun diving into than these two.
To be honest I always had a crush on Vegeta XD And I love the Vegeta-Bulma couple. They work so well and their personalities just make sense, everything makes sense to me with them. I do enjoy the ship with Kakarot but I'm not so into it. In DBZ i don't really go so much into fanfiction and stuff tbh. The only couple I liked on DBZ was GohanxVidel. Mostly because this is the most explored couple on the show and secondly because Gohan is my favorite character on this show.
Oooh, old-school! Let me go into a longwinded wall-text about my early days online. I first got online thanks to my brother's computer in 1999. Back then I got involved in the message boards associated with a webcomic. Now Noddy (said brother) moved to Sydney, and while it did not go with him straight away, his computer did follow him. I spent 2000 depending on the library computers at Tafe (technical college) and spent a lot of the reading a very long Baldur's Gate fanfic. I was peripherally aware that the fanfic was associated with a message board, but because of my access being restricted to weekdays, I didn't get involved. My maternal grandfather died on my birthday in 2001 (I was not that close to him), so Mum ended up receiving a modest inheritance, enough to purchase a secondhand car and a full computer set-up. That was about July. I returned to the webcomic discussion board and stayed there for the next several months, until Noddy gave me his guidebook for Baldur's Gate 2 at Xmas. I already had the game, but having the book shot me back into playing it and also shot me into looking into The Attic, the BG message board I mentioned. I read progressing fanfics there liek whoa, and roughly halfway through 2002, I became friends with a lurker on the board, who, while I was friends with him, tried to direct me towards a fanfic that was mostly about Trunks, but the website of it's author also had a page of Vegeta/Bulma fanfics. I... kinda fell face-first into that and read through most of that little archive and then branched out to every place I could find fics. Some of those other pages led me to yaoi and I turned into a fan of Vegeta/Goku as a pairing. I got distracted somewhere around the end on 2002, or in early 2003 and wandered off into Harry Potter, and I really haven't gone back to DBZ. There are two remnants of that time that linger, in the form of my email address having "Mirai Vegito" in it (based on a crazy plotbunny I contemplated at one point), and my FFN ID being MajinBakaHentai, the name I originally got my first LiveJournal account under. My current favourite pairing is probably either Andraste/Maferath, with caveats based on a crossover headcanon of mine, Maglor/Silmaril, also with related caveats, and a Silmaril/OC/OC threesome that is directly related to both of the other pairings. Can I mention that one of the caveats is that Andraste is a Silmaril too? A now secondary pairing is Boromir/Kili, also directly related into the same headcanon.
Man now here's a classic ship. It's an interesting ship and I like how their relationship has developed. I have always wondered what if Goku and Bulma ended up together though.
1. Heeeeelll yeah. Who doesn't love DBZ. 2. I do and did, back when I was younger I used to really dislike Vegeta and this relationship actually made me like him far more. I was also somewhat averse to it initially because I used to really like Yamcha/Bulma because of their relationship in DB which was much better than how they were in DBZ but pretty quickly came to prefer Vegebul. 3. Nahh I'm a bit too young to have been a part of that. 4. My favorite canon couple is Midnighter and Apollo I suppose. Not really a big fan of many canon couples now that I think about it lol, it's a weird thing of mine to often look for potential things in the background instead of what ships are in front of me. Vegebul is a great canon couple because neither character took a back seat for the other and became either a damsel for the other or a supporting character with no character of their own for the other and because their dynamic has always remained in tact therefore retaining what makes the pairing good and they also developed when necessary. Unfortunately Apollo often suffers from being no more than Midnighter's partner/damsel a lot of the time in his relationship and isn't much of his own character outside of his relationship with Midnighter but I still like the pairing. Other canon ships I really like are Vision/Scarlet Witch, Chris Keller/Tobias Beecher and Kushina Uzumaki/Minato Namikaze.
It was my first canon ship when I was around 11. 20 years later, and I still adore them. I even had a geocities website dedicated to them at one point. lol.
1) Oh man, this ship takes me back! I'm so glad you covered this; the nostalgia is real! I grew up with DBZ, and Vegeta was the first love of my life when I was little lol XD But I was SHOOK and so happy when Trunks happened and they became a couple. I will give up this ship when it is pried from my cold, dead fingers! Thank you for this video! It warmed my heart. 2) I wasn't there during the flame wars; I discovered fandom and fanfics later in life, maybe towards the end of The Purge. I discovered fanfiction on accident....I was trying to find out if a movie I love (Spirited Away) would ever have a sequel, and it turned out no, but someone had written one! I discovered the amazing world of fandom, and I haven't gone back. I still haven't gone to the DBZ fics yet though, because I know it will pull me in for a very long time.... and I will need to set aside some time for that lol. 3) I'm a bit boring in that I usually tend towards canon couples. (Fan rec Friday--canon couples!!) I don't know why, it's not intentional, so I have A LOT of canon favorites. Some of the top ones are: Harley/Joker Beetlejuice/Lydia (adult Lydia) Vegeta/Bulma Krillin/18 Penguin/Riddler (Gotham..that's considered canon right?) Harry Potter/Ginny Scarlet Witch/Vision Rose/Doctor Alan Grant/Ellie Sattler (Jurassic Park) So, so, so, so many. We would be here all night if I went on. Do I ship canon pairings? *breathes in* BOY. You like essay comments, so BUCKLE UP. I have quite a few canon ships! Which is a bit of an unusual statement from me as most fandoms I engage in I'm so far from canon by light years. BUT there are quite a few that won me over, too!! The first that comes to mind is Aelita and Jeremy from the show Code Lyoko. Now growing up, I was a HUGE tomboy. So the idea about romance was never really a glimmer in my eye or a thought I had ever conceived. My best friend was a boy, and I was always the gal to try to hit other kids with sticks at recess should they ever even ATTEMPT to insinuate that he was my boyfriend and whatnot. BUT THEN CODE LYOKO HAPPENED. Small 10 year old Sprite Lady was so invested and distraught over one really smart kid doing everything in his power to save his digital friend from an evil computer virus by bringing her to the real world. One moment I particularly remember is Jeremy explaining to Aelita about the other human senses besides seeing and hearing. As she was essentially a computer program or AI who couldn't fathom what breathing and other basic things were like. And then there was a date episode and then So. Much. ANGST. About how they couldn't save her without dooming folks to monsters that shoot lasers in real life. But don't worry, they did find out a solution to the problem and they did live happily ever after as they needed to be!! Another canon favorite of mine is the pairing of Professor Kukui and Professor Brunet in the new Pokémon games Sun & Moon. And I like it for many of the same reasons people might like the Burma/Vegeta ship. Both the characters have their own fields of research they're experts in and enjoy doing. Kukui studies Pokémon attacks and moves, while Brunet researches Pokémon from other dimensions and wormholes created by them. So they each have their own unique interests! But they also have commonality in that they both like wrestling, messing around with their Pokémon... but they're still allowed to be independent of one another as people despite common badly written "married character tropes". So there's a LOT the fandom can mess around and be creative with!! And I recall that MANY videos ago you liked Issac and Miria from the anime Baccano! And I'll be honest with you, I do too! I'm still unsure as to which is my all time favorite from the show... as for me it's a toss up between those two goobers and the very scary yet heartfelt couple of Ladd Russo and Lua. You've also made your fair share of videos about Korrasami as well! And even though I can't stand Legend of Korra as a show overall; I do like Asami and Korra together. I just wish it was developed better in canon. Other than that the only other canon pairings I like are from Steven Universe. Ruby and Sapphire are ADORABLE and even though I didn't like their cliche origin story, their interactions and other development made it a-okay ship quality material. I'm also really fond of Greg and Rose Quartz. There's been much development and depth with Steven's parents psyches and issues; and the story of how they learned to click with one another is very engaging.
I'm that rare shipper that always leans into the plausibly canon pairings. (Only adding the plausible because one of my true OTP was in a love triangle - My Gods the FLAMES! - While I understand that both pairings are canon many in this particular fandom hate that reading.) I really only ever did fanon when I needed a break from toxic fandom. My big one right now is WTNV Cecilos. (Cecil/Carlos) In the past... Sokka/Suki (sp?) from A:tLAB Lina/Goury from Slayers Gohan/Videl from DBZ Squall/Rinoa from FF8 Lulu/Wakka from FFX Goliath/Eliza from Gargoyles Bruce Wayne/Talya al Gul Joker/Harley/Poison Ivy Big drawback to needing canon as much as I do to ship is that it leaves me lacking for queer faves. Makes me super happy to see more canon queer couples nowadays like Victor/Yuri from Yuri on Ice.
There's much less concern about nc17 works and fanart right now... well, that's to be seen, they're still purging tumblr soon =_= Anyways! This video is so nostalgic ! I avoided the flame wars due to pure lack of english comprehension at the time, but DBZ (and especially Vegeta and Bulma, and Trunks/Goten) basically got me into fanfiction in the late 90s, and I never stopped.

Though this Tumblr purge is all porn not specifically targeting fannish adult content as past purges have been; that's just an unfortunate but not unexpected by product even though they claim NSFW fan made content is still allowed. I read yesterday that they're going to keep the literary content but ban most of the visual ones, like fanart, unless it's the typical 'tasteful nude' and not sexual. Honestly, I'm a visual artist and even though I don't actually do anything explicit, I find this move a bit too constricting, especially since it seems to take in account societal norms I don't entirely agree with (like, they're going to ban female nipples but not male ones, at least so the articles I read say, and I hate that kind of distinction)... Sooo basically, my comment was maybe out of topic with the video in the tumblr part, sorry! It just wanted to come out. Artists will have to find other platforms and for transformative works there's always dear old AO3!

1. I’ve watched most of DBZ & GT back when it originally aired. I remember when Trunks parentage was revealed *i was shooketh* I was a kid so I didn’t really understand how this random couple just *happened* but I wasn’t hung up on it. 2/3. I was too young/had no access to the Internet during the fandom’s origins. 4. Canon couple?!? **Looks at my list of ships** (yes I have a list, yes I do note some of my reasoning & fav tropes). Practically none of them are canon... does Hannigram count? It’s canon right? RIGHT?!!! ?. Okay I have to admit I have been going on a DBZ & Super clip binge for the last few months. Piccolo scenes & Bulma/Vegeta warm my soul. So much so I have decided to watch all of the Dragon Ball-verse from the beginning 😱
1. Yes, I love DBZ and am glad you dived into this fandom. I watched when they were first released in Cartoon Network. It was actually the first anime I was aware was originally from Japan, and with my friends got a heads up in future episodes and movie. Yes, I had added info and it was awesome, Fun times. 2. Yes I do, as well as 18 and Krillan. 3.Not the flame wars, but I was there during the purges. Dark days. 4. Fav cannon pairing, there is a list, but not as long as my fannon paitings. I guess that can be attributed to me connecting with side characters and pairings, than the main protagonists. Also, what are your thoughts about DBZ Abridged? I've seen a few, but my fav has to be from Team Four Star. The lip sync, and voice actors do an amazing job.
Lol I have nothing against GokuXChichi but it is such a forced ship. Every time I see them interact it feels like a mother yelling at a child. Like they are both in two different frames of mind when it comes to their relationship tbh

Funny enough, I didn't actually watch DBZ fully until I was like 15 because I never thought about actually looking it up online, the 80s anime I watched as a kid was Knights of the Zodiac (which has a lot of material since there isn't really a confirmed pairing, so I've stayed there for years), when my dad realized I had not seen it completely (as well as my mom) he made us watch the whole series (#PiccoloIsBestDad) 2. Before I actually started watching I knew by watching reruns with my older brother that they ended up together, but I was about 10 years old so I didn't exactly care about anything other than the awesome fight scenes, when I watched it at 15 I love their story, it pales in comparison to Goku and Chichi (and If anyone needs a better husband, I believe it's Chichi, she deserves so much better). Fun Fact: Chichi in Spanish is called "Milk", they had to change it since in Spanish "Chichi" means "boob" 3. No, I haven't been around fandom that long 4. That's a tough one and I've been searching my computer for the answer to that and it is in the options of: Howl and Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle, the Studio Ghibli movie because of the beautiful "There you are, I've been looking for you" from the beginning and I don't really see the appeal to their relationship in the book, Anthy and Utena from Revolutionary Girl Utena because lesbians taking down the patriarchy is great, Sasaki to Miyano from the manga of the same name because I don't think I've seen a relationship handled with as much care as this one (they are in the "finally realized I like you back" stage) and platonic because I consider that just as important Patsu and Sheeta's friendship from Studio Ghibli's Castle in the Sky and Miharu and Yoite's from the Nabari No Ou Manga, they are so beautiful that I cry and feel like dying with my heart to the brim with feelings.
Cannon couples? I got a couple: 1: Doctor X Rose. They were my first otp and god I loved their interactions and chemistry. 2: Adrien x Marinette. I mean it’s basically cannon right? And like pretty much most romantic relationships in this show have been handled extremely well. It’s kinda amazing how right they got it tbh. Vegebul is probably my favourite couple in anime - at least, they might be just over all favourites to me. They're such an awesome couple! Both really capable in their own 'fields' - so to speak - and protective of each other. Bulma will always be there to nurse Vegeta when he blows himself up for the 100th time and Vegeta will always beat on gods who dare to slap his lady!
Either in late 90s or early 2000s there was a Vegeta/bulma fic (that i know i had printed and cannot for the life of me find now) starting from the begining on Dbz that changes alot since bulma trained in secret and learned to manipulate time, thus was very awesome and useful, especially in the namek saga . Even if i cant remember the title/author, I remember loving that story so much and its what got me info Fic in the first place. I still love this ship and if anyone know the fic im talking about I would love any info you got so i can maybe find it XD!
These two are my favorite pairing in canon simply because of how much is left to interpretation. It’s just a mysterious pairing that way. They also just seem to really fit each other well. Thank you for covering them :) Also, my favorite canon couple is Sailor Moon x Tuxedo Mask.
Woah, this was a surprise! DBZ was my very first fandom. Let's face it, Toriyama has always been very clumsy with romance, almost any DBZ pairing required a lot of fix headcanons to make them work, even the canon ones (specially the canon ones...). I still love dragon ball, but I would never recommend it to someone who didn't grow up with it. My canon anime couple used to be Syaoran/Sakura from CCS (but nowadays looking back I feel they were way too young lol.)
I was never a fan of DBZ, so I can’t say much about it. However, I do have a favorite cannon couple that have been really grinding my gears for a few years now. It’s Yuuram, the pairing of Yuuri Shibuya and Wolfram Von Bielefeld from Kyo Kara Maoh. Why must these two hurt me so? For backstory, KKM is about Yuuri, a typical high school student, being sucked into a magical world (via toilet) where he is crowned the demon king. It’s a very light hearted story with a lovable cast and it can get very silly sometimes with flying skeletons, birds that just shout “Bad Omen”, bear bees, and ridiculous etiquette rules. It’s because one of those rules that leads to the start of Yuuri’s and Wolfram’s relationship. At the beginning of the show when Yuuri is being introduced to the main cast as the predestined demon king, Wolfram refuses to accept him as such and insults Yuuri’s mother. Yuuri then slaps him (in the light novel he choose to slap instead of punch his face because he didn’t want to ruin Wolfram’s pretty face), and refuses to apologize for it when everyone begs him to take it back. This results in the two of them getting engaged as slapping ones left cheek with your right hand is ancient aristocratic way of proposing. From then on the two of them slowly build their relationship. Wolfram being more eager about it than Yuuri in the beginning. It’s been nearly two decades since the series was first published as a light novel, and they are not married yet! Let me break this down for you. There are 22 light novels, 3 seasons of anime, 117 episodes, 5 OVAs, a game, and yet here we are. They adopted a child together! A little girl who in canon gave us their ship name when naming her bearbee!!! So sorry to have gone on such a long messy rant but I have so many emotions about them.....

Oh man, favorite canon ship..... I won't lie that is hard..... Probably either Percabeth since Percy Jackson actually introduced me to fandom or one from a show I'm really hoping gets a video on this channel eventually, Renora or Team Sloth from RWBY(You can not convince me they are not canon at this point). I have a big soft spot for characters who grew up together and fight really well, like I can't even tell you! I just love that troupe!
I don't know Dragon Ball Z very well at all, but I do have a canon OTP: Kit and Alma Walker, from American Horror Story: Asylum. They only really have one scene together before being separating but they're absolutely sweet together and the actors have fantastic chemistry. Every time I rewatch Asylum (which is too often), I wish that they could just be safe and happy. Unfortunately, no matter how much I wish it, the aliens always come to take them.

I also think that this is leading up to them getting together too.
1) I didn't watch DBZ when I was younger. My cousin would watch it and I always thought it was too....I guess boyish for my taste (even though I didn't really care about gendering cartoons back then). Recently, when I would watch Cartoon Network and the anime shows would come on (DBZ being one of them), I would catch myself getting sucked into the storyline but I kinda stop recently because of moving and other stuff. 2) I do like Vegeta and Bulma. They and Vegata/Goku are my favorite DBZ (with Vegeta/Goku being number one). So, I do respect their relationship and like stories where they can be friends when their romantic relationship didn't work out. 3) Nope and I'm happy I never got into a shipping war lol. 4) My favorite canon ship is Kim and Ron from Kim Possible. I just love that IMO that they transition from childhood friends to a romantic relationship so well and didn't end up with that horrible friends to dating thing where they either argue all the time or get way too mushy that most tv writers tend to do with couples like this. So, it's nice to see a couple who didn't go through that.
Well aside from the aforementioned Vegebul and comics!Symbrock (can't deny the canonicity there...) my favorite canon couple would probably be Deckerstar (okay, I know they're not yet canon)
DBZ has never appealed much to me so I can't really answer any questions about it. As for favorite canon ships? Probably Hollstein from the Carmilla series. In fact I would LOVE to see you do a video on them sometime.
Favorite cannon ship is The Doctor and Rose... this is cannon and you can’t convince me otherwise. They were IN LOVE. Also Percabeth is great, I actually think those 2 were my first ships, good times.
When I tell people I watch DragonBallZ they usually ask me which version I watch, the english sub, the Funimation dub or DBZ Kai. I say none of the above. I watched the TFS dub. ;)
I never was much of a Dragonball Z fan. I know next to nothing about the show except some characters names and that it had a kickass English opening. Ah, the world of canon. I so rarely tread here. Seriously, I just went to AO3 to just casually scroll through the relationships tag on my bookmarks page and I think I only have two ccs on couples on there, three if you stretch the meaning You stretch the meaning of what a couples relationship looks like. I think my favorite canon couple, who only became canon at the last possible second, would be Shikamaru and Temari. And they haven’t been on the top of my list in a while. Even in the Naruto fandom, I’m still way more into Tenten x Neji (RIP Neji) or Sasori x Sakura. The only other real canon couple I have anything bookmarked for is Alex Truelove x Elliot from Alex Strangelove. I do not stay in these canon waters long, I am off to sail the more strange and unfathomable waters known as crack.

A question I've had since I was a kid: In Dragon Ball, Bulma wanted to collect the dragon balls to wish for the boyfriend of her dreams. If she got to make her wish do you think Vegeta would have showed up?
Off topic but my brother looooooves dbz and we've had a lot of conversations about it, sometimes just speculating the hows of saiyan sex lives and relationships in general. We've come to the conclusion that saiyans don't actually feel love and the saiyan royal family are actually freaks among saiyans who do. Like look at Goku, nicest guy ever! But his positivity towards Krillin, Gohan, Chichi, and any random he's fighting are about the same. Honestly the standout would b3 his relationship with Krillin. We don't think he really experiences a deeper connection to anyone than like a moderate level of friendship. And so Vegetas coldness is him trying to be a proper saiyan but actually he loves his family and so sorta fails as a saiyan. That's just a silly theory we toss around but it's pretty plausible for one of the purposely wild theories we like to come up with
I hated Vegeta/Bulma when it was first introduced but your video makes it a little easier haha. I kind of did feel like Vegeta had a one sided thing for Goku
