@@floridaman7660 no. I only like Adam's history and filming location videos. But jokes aside, I appreciate anyone who has passion for something, even if boogers are involved.
Cons have become the biggest money grabber. You go, expect to blow $500 if you want to do anything anymore. The comic artists don’t charge but that could change. Celebs … $100 for autograph and photo. I used to love going but it’s $50 to walk in the door. That’s before doing anything anymore.
@@neilrunyon3787but they're also a fun splurge. I go mostly to see the artists alley and panels and admire the cosplay. Not like you *have* to spend tons of money if you don't want to. But you're also right, stuff has gotten super expensive and it's really a shame.
This video was so fun! I was cracking up just watching the characters walking in the background. What an amazing con! I wish it were close to me because this is one con I would actually go to!
I went to Pensacon this year and I thought the App was soooooo helpful!!!! Love that they have those. Cons are one of my happy places and this is just amazing!!!
I still count 2019 as having attended. The virtual con was the con, it was the only con, my wife and I took time off for it, watched the virtual programing, decorated around the house and really dug into the experience. I know it wasn't on location, but it was still an official event so we still count it :)
Wow that was incredible! I have never been. Thank you for taking us along to DragonCon. Love all the costumes! Planet of the ape’s one of my favorite’s. This was a fun video!
So, I wasn’t familiar with DragonCon. I was thinking something similar to like a ComiCon but a different genre, mythical lands and such. Neither are my jam, but much to my surprise, it’s an 80’s/early 90’s kid’s DREAM! I love pop culture, especially from my childhood when things were awesome-lol. This looked super fun. I love the sarcasm and dry humor. The crowds were a bit crazy, but I bet the people watching alone was worth it.
After I got upto 300K trading with Mrs Anne Jones. I bought a new House and I'm now able to send my kids to a better school in the states thanks to mrs Anne. When someone is straight forward with what he or she is doing people will always speak up for them.
This is the event I enjoy watching. Not at first but over the years you got me to enjoy it. The crowds make me feel I am in a can of mixed nuts. And I am at home
I wish I had watched this before I picked up my badge today! I thought the Uber driver dropped me at the wrong hotel! I'm so used to going into the Sheraton on the other side that I didn't recognize anything. Did they always have an open, indoor pool in the middle of the hotel with guest rooms surrounding it? It was definitely a vibe.
Why is the boring airport video yesterday 40 minutes long, but the DragonCon video today is only 20 minutes??? Seems like there would be more content at the Con than at an airport we always see you at.
I don't think the con gets into full swing until today. Yesterday was basically a check in and get your badge day. Not much to document there. I'm sure as the weekend progresses there will be more to see. Got to have patience bro
You know you don't have to watch a video all the way through, or at all, if it's too long or boring for you. Adam isn't a public service broadcaster, not is he asking you for anything.
I had to google because I was expecting something like a Renaissance faire with lords and ladies and lots of dragons, maybe some Harry Potter. Turns out the "dragon" in dragon con isnt a dragon at all, it was named after a local bulletin board called the dragon. Its a multi-genre convention about pop culture and science fiction and fantasy. Neat.
Must be crazy crowded in that area today there is a college football game nearby tonight between Georgia Tech and University of Louisville in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium that should have 20-30 thousand people at least great planning.
The city of Atlanta does that. The Braves no longer play in the city, they are a little further out in Cobb County but many times you would have this plus the Braves playing. Not to mention there might be a concert at Phillips Arena. Atlanta sponors many events. They always have. But the city handles it. Taking Marta is the answer. I use to depend on Marta and I hated it, believe me I'm not an advocate for Marta, but anybody going downtown from the suburbs, drive to your closest train station and take Marta. You'll be glad.
Adam you should come down 185 to Columbus sometime and do a vlog! Come see our Riverwalk , longest urban whitewater course and new development! Shall you?
You definitely achieved your goal of thin by Dragoncon; but more importantly you are making a lifestyle change to feel better. I can tell you a million times you look amazing but more importantly it is how you feel and the new habits you have developed. I wish I was there to ride that ferris wheel with you! 😊
HEY ATW...THIS VENUE IS ALWAYS THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR entire vlogging career. I love DRAGONCON and you always cover it so well. Your filming and narrative brings me there with you. Your comedic observations are some of the funniest of any show, RU-vid or otherwise. I wait all year for this. Thank you for keeping the tradition alive. Are you in the Blues Brothers automobile this year? Is Splorin Ryan and Greg's Game Room attending?
Any day to play dress up is a good day! Looks like a lot of fun. Too bad I'm too old to experience it lol They didn't have things like Dragon Con in my day. I had to wait for Halloween to dress up. Really enjoy these videos. Hope you had a blast! Entertainment wrestling still makes me cringe lol
Ugh I'm jealous (well but not of the sushi). It's been about 20 years since I went o Dragon*Con and I only live a 5 hour drive from the ATL. But it was really fun the last time I went there. Don't know what your itinerary looks like, but if you get a chance you should head down to Little Five Points on Moreland Avenue after the Con. Criminal Records, Sevananda, Junkman's Daughter etc. Definitely the coolest area in the city.
And don't forget the best hamburgers you have ever eaten at the Vortex. I used to work at the Petco at Little 5, so at lunchtime, I would always take a walk. I always saw something. A cool parade, people playing music, and I'm talking really, really good musicians. My mom used to take my oldest sister in her stroller, through Little 5. Such an iconic scene. RIP to my mom, who died in Decemeber, and my sister, who died 3 years ago. I miss them both, all of the time.
@16:50 True story, Maurice LaMarche gave me my first (and basically only) cigar… it was terrible, hated every second of it. But was happy to meet him. Glad to see he’s still a Fine voice actor. Thanks for sharing Adam!
That convention is on my bucket list, it looks like so much fun. But on I felt for ya standing in that line to get your badge, and yes it looked hot in that room from this angle. I loved some of those ribbons, I love stuff like that with the fun sayings like those. I am looking forward to your upcoming videos. Plus huge congratulations on your 60+lb weight loss that is incredible! Well done!
Loved watching your channel this morning and look forward to it every morning. I didn't go to dragon con this year with my daughter. And wish I had she met you yesterday And got a selfie with you she was the young woman with the rainbow hair. First thing when she got home last night she showed me the selfie. I was so happy to see the picture. I looked for you last year when I was there but didn't see you. It is such a fun event. Have a wonderful time.
Speaking of Wrestling I just been hearing about the story of Bruiser Brody the wrestler and how he was murdered.. crazy and a sad story. Should check it out
