One month after grafting, the seedlings start to show new growth. It proves that the toothpick method works. It also shows the grafted seedling does not necessarily attach the cambium ring to establish connections between the seedlings and the stock tissue. Also showed in the video that the seedlings tolerate alcohol well so it can be used to sterilize the seedlings for grafting to minimize microbe contamination. Meanwhile, the remaining seedlings growing in soil continue show growth and they show more growth than the grafted seedling at this point. It will be interesting to see when the growth of the grafted seedlings surpass the ones in soil. It is interesting to note that almost all seedlings from this experiment are 4 sided, while the Palora seedlings I grew before were all 3 sided.
