deadass. why the fuck was he going on and on about the human tendency towards wrath, and "the void staring back" at the arisen? that literally is not the titular "dragon's dogma" that he delivers in the game, they completely ruined the themes.
Grigori is still my favorite dragon in all of gaming. Kudos to David Lodge for the fucking superb voice acting. He was barely in the story but goddamn does he make every second of his screentime count, and you _feel_ his influence long before you actually fight him. Also, extra chad points for not taking shit from his own cultists, because in his words: _"The rantings of an upjumped zealot make for tedious listening."_
In the Dragon dogma anime series, the dragon lived as a human, and his task was to guide the arisen to kill the dragon so the dragon could escape from the curse. Whenever an arisen fights a dragon and kills them the dragon gets released from the curse and the arisen becomes the new Dragon. So basically every dragon was an Arisen
Step 1: Reach that phase of the boss fight. Step 2: Realize being underleveled and underequipped to actually win the boss fight. Step 3: Reload, hoping to go back to pre-boss times and actually prepare some items before going in. Step 4: Autosave loads right back into the fight. 'The hour for turning back is past' suddenly feels a lot more meaningful.
Grigori says “the world will have its answer! You or me, DEATH, or life beyond.” What most don’t realize is that Death and Life beyond are allusions to his previous statement of “you or me” you are death, and the dragon is life beyond . SPOILERS If the dragon wins , he probably won’t kill you, and will instead take what you hold dear, in return you live life beyond forever as an immortal, until the dragon is eventually slain. If you kill the dragon , you continue the cycle, ultimately ending in death. As death is the only way to escape the role of seneschal. The dragon was never death
Nah, the dragons will always kill you for being unworthy. They made sure to offer you an alternative, why would they spare you when you had the chance to walk away and chose not to?
@@Inspector6607 I don't think its customizable tho? I don't think I'll want the sounds from DDDA and the soundtrack placing is also weird - on one video I noticed Cassardis theme playing while exploring volcanic island... eh, really not a good place for that relaxing chill music
@LeonserGT yeah its not something you can decide what goes where, but it is toggleable so you can def just turn on the old songs for the dragon fight then turn it off after.
This is such a good dragon fight I've had no other game comes close to this besides monster hunter world...but when you kill grigori you can feel that everything changes after the fight even the world goes dark, still gets me, and I beat him over at least 15 times, monster hunter gives me the ahhhh yeeeee feeling and I love it, the accomplishment after beating my first elder dragon made me so happy and I became a good hunter that day........ And....these games are both made by capcom....... they know how to make games when they want to...thanks for coming to my TEDtalk

I vaguely recall doing ng+ for this game like 7 times just to get to listen to this song and get dragonforged gear for my trouble. Such a crazy good boss theme

This is an amazing showdown I mean sure if you learned how to exploit the turrets you can cheese and beat this boss at a really low level but that doesn't matter because the fight itself is still a blast and the ost perfectly describes how epic this fight is.
Tell me about this has to be one of my favorite fights of all time. He is smart, has a amazing voice, challenging, plus he feels epic and imposing. He is everything I wanted in a final boss to the point where I felt bad when I did beat him. Alduin the world eater in skyrim doesn't hold a candle to him.

O Grigori é o melhor dragão que já vi, e essa música que toca durante a batalha dele torna a experiência ainda mais empolgante, conseguir fazer um dragão tão bom vai ser o desafio da capcom pro DD2.

Grigori: "yes..... yes you did......." *DAYS LATER AT THE THRONE OF GOD* Me: "oooooh so THAT'S what he meant" *GETS HIT BY THE SENESCHAL'S HOLY REPPUKENS*
@@noiwontsignyourarmpit5263 I was level 32 when I first ran him, fought him as soon as I got the option to. Not only that but I had no healing items and no pawn that could heal me. Took me a few hours to master not getting hit ever lol.
I still get goosebumps when I face him down and he tells me "The world will have its answer" Holy shit that was the BEST bossbattle of ANY video game I have ever played, there is so much heart and feelings in this.
I like to think the anime is what happened after our arisen broke the seneschal from the cycle Now if we get more it's up to that pawn to break either the arisen from the cycle or the dragon
anime and this are not connected bar the name and the idea of the dragons/pawns. Netflix had full creative license and so they f**ked it up well and proper....
@@DRKILLIE There are ways to easily kill him (both forms) extremely quickly. Seriously, I've managed to kill both First Form and Second Form Daimon combined within like 2-3 minutes tops multiple times over. Same goes for Death.
