Fighting my first drake and hearing their heart pounding in my earphones was absolutely amazing and terrifying. Really got a sense for their power, especially since I was probably only at level 20 or so in the middle of Vermund.
I'm actually really confused, I thought the majority consensus was that people disliked how many songs were rehashed from the first. Personally, I enjoy the music, I'm a big fan of heavy orchestral themes, and although definitely a hot take, I actually like them taking out the power guitar from the rehashed combat tracks.
@@lemonnomel7505because Dragon's Dogma literally is also known for its taste in the music genre. That's what made it unique compared to the other generic fantasy setting games that uses your good Ol' orchestra n stuff.
I get that people prefer Dragons Dogma 1's soundtrack (its one of my favorites in gaming entirely), but I think the music in DD2 is pretty damn good. I find it gets the mood they were going for across quite well and it does a pretty good job selling the "mythical" feel with the high-fantasy sort of sound they took for it.
@TheMaerx exactly! Remember the first time we heard end of the struggle? It's the DRUMS that make the magic. That's why Reversal of Fate is so much more beloved, they brought back those LOUD drums
If you’re somehow extracting these from the game file, I would literally pay money for you to extract all the sound effects files - so much of the game has great sound effects I’d love to use for my dnd games lol.
If you are still sturggeling, have a sorc in your party (either you or a pawn) with the silence spell. All their really powerful attacks are from casting spells so that will neuter them quite a lot
I have not heard this battle theme before. Every time I kill a drake I just farm them with the ballista at the ancient battlegrounds. Kinda funny to just 2 shot them then just repeat.
You know a game's soundtrack is mid at best when the top comment you see on every video is someone complaining about all the people who dislike the soundtrack
Thank you for the upload, but gosh darn, It's appaling how generic and uncreative this track is, just... wow, how did we get here? What year is this? And what's with the excessive echo in the mixing? I'm shocked, it feels like the score was an afterthought, what a wasted opportunity in making something truly memorable.
@@lordninetails514It's not trash at all. I struggle to remember anything outside of the main motifs for a lot of the themes in this game. Nothing is memorable, and even if they're good in a vacuum when you compare it to the first game they just don't have that hit to them.
@@tayletubby5138 I mean, I liked it, it's fitting for the moment, but it *is* unmemorable. Something can be good but still unmemorable you know. I can only remember the choir section when I think of the song, and the rest blurs together
