This is probably one of the first videos of TFS where I don't cringe at my performance at all. ADDITIONAL: I didn't get the dinner-breakfast portmanteau until like...SIX YEARS LATER...I thought it was just a thing that the boys came up with...and when recording it, I corpsed for TEN MINUTES. Kaiser can attest!

I like how Goku calls out "Stranger danger" to extend the power pole because to me it is like a running gag from a non-existent Dragon Ball Abridged.

The "Hail Garlic Junior" to "Hey, Garlic Junior" bit flows better than every other version of that scene. It's much more amusing than the literal "Give back his son".

Goku: "Thank God!" Kami: "You're welcome." I love these quick and simple jokes.

I love the "Hide yo kids" guy. It got so popular that some people tried to buy it off him. But then he went to those meetings in a nice suit with knowledge on how not to get swindled cause he actually has a business degree. He had to rapidly wake up for an interview about an intruder in his area and they thought he was an easy mark.

The Shenron in this movie really makes him look like he could stand up to Porunga.

I love how Cinnamon is horrified that Gohan got hold of an apple. He may be an evil Makyan plotting to take over the word, but kids don't do drugs.

I really like how at 28:46 there’s a double joke there, where Kami says, “I swear if I didn’t know you I’d call you a smartass.” One, kami knows Goku is being sincere and not trying to be funny, two, Kami indeed knows Goku and knows that he is certainly not worthy of being called a smartass lol.

Popo saying "I'd think you'd know." Is my favorite joke in DBZA

"So you're the one who eluded my men?" "Sure, let's go with that." "Oh god, they're all dead, aren't they?" I always laugh at this part

Kaisers face when he suddenly remembers the Huck Finn joke is killing me.

I didn’t even realize Kaiser voiced Garlic Jr. It’s pretty cool that he can voice Trunks and Garlic Jr. since the difference is so big between them

13:15 The voice actor for the abridged Kami isn't given enough credit. He lands every line with a perfect 10.

The fights in this movie are waaay more varied which actually makes them interesting. All the flexible dodges and non-repetitive attacks are so refreshing from DBZ's general fighting choreography

Okay, Popo throwing Kami like a fuckin javelin is officially my personal canon because that image is just too hilarious for words to describe. 😂

I was always really confused by the out of order movies TBH. I think this series has helped me realize why TeamFourStar was lightning in a bottle, because the TEAM balanced everyone out so perfectly.

The whole Garlic Jr knowing who Goku is always makes me smile. If only because Goku's achievements are acknowledged. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the world government goes out of its way to hide Goku and his friends' existence.

Piccolo’s “I don’t need help” line is badass and extremely well delivered, but I personally have always thought that it would’ve been better if he said, “You’re right. Because unlike you, I don’t have friends.” I think the subversion, the inherent humor, and the fact that it’s totally in line with Piccolo’s character would’ve made it work perfectly.

Stand out lines for me are “I think he’s fucking dumb,” “EGGS!” “I swear if I didn’t know you I’d call you a smartass” and best of all, Garlic Jr’s underwhelming grunt as Gohan screams him into the Dead Zone. Also “Oh you better just KILL me.”

That Garlic Jr weak little "ugh" and quickly getting knocked back to his defeat is just so perfect and gets me every time. This movie is easily the DBZA thing I've rewatched the most; it's just so tight and pointing out the plotholes in the original is always fun

When I saw the original dub as a kid, I misremembered Pilaf's name and I assumed Garlick Jr. was supposed to be Pilaf's son.

I loved what TFS did with Garlic Jr's minions in this movie. The voice performances for Cinnamon and Pepper in particular were great and the delivery on a lot of their lines are super funny. Definitely some of the more memorable DBZ movie minions for me.

4:20 i know it’s one of the more controversial jokes, but pretty much every honors English middle schooler went through this. Definitely fit y’all’s gohan interpretation

I love how it's Kami pointing out to Goku and Piccolo that Garlic is immortal when a moment before that he wanted to blow himself up.

I think this is my favorite TFS movie still and I don’t fully know why. Just the vibe feels correct on this one. Plus “that shit gets longer?” “OH YEAH IT DOES” is eternally my favorite.

The funniest part of that "Why don't you buy a house with the Ox King's money" joke is? *He did in Super Hero.* ...Maybe Satan's money, but probably the money Gohan gets from Ox King. It's perfect.

I NEVER noticed two things Kaiser pointed out. One, the fangs making the entrance to the Dead Zone a mouth. And two, the fact that the "It's even sucking up your children." was a reference to that interview. Once he started to explain it, I INSTANTLY remembered that interview if even just barely enough to know what he was referencing it was SO long ago. I LOVE when they point of certain jokes' references cause while I might not have realized it before it was pointed out, a lot of the time when one of them points out what the joke is referencing, I near instantly realize exactly what they're talking about.

I'm so glad Taka's pitch for Garlic Jr.'s defeat was followed, it cracks me up every single time

This is my favorite movie from TFS, full stop. Every line is so goddamn funny. All the coziness of early dbz footage with the editing and humor of late TFS, it’s just the best Plus every single cast member in this movie fucking killed it. Every time I put pepper on my eggs I can hear Remix in my head… “I got nothing, um… EGGGGGGGS!”

4:56 "The innocence of a child" There was a viral clip a couple weeks ago where an Indonesian girl and an Austrian girl are meeting irl and she suddenly blurts out "My skin is yellower than yours!" It was just an observation, neither positive nor negative but you could see the gears in the Austrian girl's head turning. She eventually (carefully) agreed that her skin was pinker. A little later she blew her mind that her eyes weren’t colored contacts.

Someone on Taka's snippet of the badass piccolo line pointed this out: **Best part is that due to the fact that this movie is technically “Skygina” written by Kril- er Nappa… its Krillin basically acknowledging that Piccolo is a cold badass.**

20:02 - it's this reason. I remember it being a big revelation in the manga that Kami dying neutralizes the dragon balls. Kami even tries to play off this ignorance in order to try and get Goku to kill Piccolo. Everyone even agrees with him until Goku reveals that Mr. Popo told him what would happen if Piccolo or Kami died. I think. It's been a while since I read it, so I might be little off.

12:57 "I will slap FIAH FROM YEW!" Is one of my all time favorite line deliveries in all of DBZA. Antfish absolutely killed it as Cinnamon in this movie. All of the villains are great here, particularly Scott as Garlic Jr., but Cinnamon has some amazing lines and deliveries that sell harder than a sale at a dollar store.

The whole "Oh my shit" scene is my second favorite scene from this, taka's "fucking amber sorry up in here!" is my favorite. Remix was hilarious especially when they announce their name and he goes eggggggsss lol. And agreed WHEN GARLIC THE OLD?
