As a kid, I've always heard, "I ate Rudolph" and laughed my ass off. Now after hearing what he really said... I still laughed my ass off.

Fun fact: The Danish nerd show, The Magic Mirror (Troldspejlet) had a recent episode on mythical creatures, and when they got to "Dragons", they played the Shenron clip from this episode instead of any official DBZ material.

If Turles gained that much power from just one bite of the apple then just imagine how strong he'd be if he ate the whole thing instead of wasting it.

When Shenron asked if Krillin was wanting to wish for the restoration of the desolated forest, I couldn't help but feel that the way you had the tone done was Shenron being genuinely touched by it. Like, Shenron thought that that was a decent wish to make. But then Krillin ruined it by wanting a Christmas Tree, and made Shenron snap.

1. Please feel free to pause however many times you want, it's all gold. 2. The cut-in of Chautsu and Tien being Jewish is hilarious. 3. I appreciate the decorations in the background of the commentary. 4. Lani being able to preview so many lines is very funny and shows how well he knows this series that means so much to us.

I don't know how Kaiser got a tiger striped Santa hat, but it's absolutely amazing

So, I hope you two get a laugh from this. For my friends I ran a Christmas D&D one shot. It was just Christmas Tree of Might. None of my friends have ever watched DBZA. I reskinned some D&D monsters to use as the villains, but I kept all the names (except Turles, named him Straggele, which is a European christmas monster that eats kids unless the parents would bribe them with fruit, so that worked). I also kept their motivations the same, and the reasons they are on the naughty list. I also named the innkeeper "Kouri Lilbo" to give a nod to Little Kuriboh. Slay and Jinga showed up at the inn to keep everyone inside and were the first fight. I changed the firetruck to a horse carriage, and cancer to a curse, just to have it fit the setting a bit more. Beru and S.N.O.W.Man were outside lighting the forest on fire and were the second fight. I kept Jinga and Beru as ex-elves who made S.N.O.W.Man. It was pretty funny having a few of the PCs not believe in Santa, but everything about Jinga and Beru fit them being Christmas elves. Karyl was with Straggele (Turles) at the Christmas Tree Of Might. I even kept the "But most of all, I hate Santa Claus" speech, and his origin be because where he lived kept shooting at Santa Claus (with balistas) to keep him away. One major difference is when they found out what Karyl did to, instead of giving a "Dibs on not fighting that guy." reaction, they locked down Straggele/ Turles, and just bullied circled Karyl. Overall they absolutely loved it! It was super well. I can't wait until next year when they have to stop the Plan To Eradicate Christmas.

Watching Kaiser struggle to pause on the right frame to nitpick his editing is one of my favorite things in this series.

It's actually fine when you pause a lot. Getting that much background information is really great, even if it takes a long time.

Hearing Lani talk about his first DBZ experience made me realize how lucky I was. I turned on the TV one Saturday morning, I saw Goku and Piccolo teaming up against Raditz in DBZ Kai, was hooked immediately, and kept watching every weekend all the way up to Cell Games.

The fact that Santa tried going to Planet Vegeta implies there was some certain amounts of good souls there

I’m actually surprised Kyle was allowed to lend his acting credit to this. Especially since he’s a A regular DBZ VA ala Funimation. Hope he never endured legal or professional backlash as a result. Even professionals actors should be allowed to just have fun

The DBZA movies have become my Christmas Movie Marathon tradition, mainly because two of them (technically 3 if you count Lord Slug) are Christmas centric.

To this day I love Goku’s idea of reasoning with the tree: “Big tree! If you don’t leave, I’m gonna have to beat you up!”

Slap that pause button and just absolutely lay the ranting on me, Lads. You guys got me through almost all my Highschool life. I love seeing the passion, especially as someone who loves the idea of V.A. work, and writes here and there, I can entirely vibe.

Man, I did realize from this that you could plausibly stretch this out into next Christmas. I mean hey, Plan to Eradicate Christmas absolutely deserves it

I don’t think anyone minds the pauses, that’s what we’re watching for.

My first episode was when Gohan was fighting Vegeta while Goku was on the ground. I thought it was some kind of open fighting tournament. When Gohan fired his Masenko's and Vegeta did his barrage, my mind was entirely blown. I had never seen beams mixed with martial arts, nor a cartoon that was as physically brutal. I was hooked, and wanted to watch it as often as possible.

Christmas Tree of Might has legit become a go-to Christmas movie for me and my pals.

2:27 It didn’t help that you have two characters who to a new person would look like Goku in addition to Goku himself being there, and then you don’t see Turles in anything Dragon Ball outside of video game related things. 7:50 It was only really this movie where he’s inexplicably evil. Garlic Jr., he was just granting a wish with no strings attached. World’s Strongest, he was actually trying to suggest better alternatives to Kochin but got fed up with Kochin’s inanities. Lord Slug, again, just granting a wish though maybe he also didn’t want to get blown up by a King Piccolo-esque. 12:27 It just dawned on me that this is the only thing TFS where Vegeta’s Yamcha interacts with Goku.

I feel for Lani and how he got introduced to DBZ, because my experience was probably just as bad. My introduction to DBZ was with Dragon Ball Z Budakai 2. The one where you play the story with what's essentially a digital board game, great game, but AWFUL way to learn about the series. After that, I randomly saw the episode of DBZ where Gohan turns Super Saiyan 2 during the Cell Games with no context at a friend's house. Then after that, I played Dragon Ball Z Sagas with another friend that knew even less about DBZ than I did. Edit: Side note, I always misremember the final joke of this movie. I always think that the joke about Shenron getting a restraining order is gonna be followed by the "due to it being non-canon, he was not allowed to keep it" joke.

Lani becoming a Dragon Ball fan and going on the help create DBZ abridged is the real Christmas miracle.

I was introduced to dragon ball through the manga. A friend and I pretty regularly had sleep overs, I'm a morning person, while he wasn't. Since I didn't want to wake anyone up I looked around his room for something to do that wouldn't make much noise, when I saw his dragon ball collection. I pulled out the first issue and right away was pretty confused that I had to read it backwards. But I was hooked right away, so whenever I slept at his place, I continued where I had left off.

I had a really bad year. Broke up with the girl I thought I would marry. Someone I thought would love me more than anything forever. Watching your guys commentary has made me so happy for the past few minths after that. Thank you guys

My introduction to DBZ was over the Christmas period many years ago. Cartoon Network/Toonami was airing DBZ from 1pm-5pm every day. It only showed from episodes 1 to the end of Frieza. I caught it near the beginning of the Namek saga. The Rock the Dragon intro was so hype, thats the reason why I watched really. Then got to love the characters. First favourites were Gohan/Krillin, then Piccolo and Vegeta. I never really grew to love Goku the way others did. The first time I really loved Goku was when Dragon Ball finally aired in the UK.

Who knew these guys had such good singing voices?

It’s become a yearly tradition of mine to watch this every years around Christmas. Its funny and entertaining and I really am impressed that you guys were able to get THE Kyle Hebert (the English voice actor of adult Gohan and the Narrator of DBZ) to appear as Santa. One my favorite parts is Shenron realizing that he’s being summoned by the same people AGAIN, cause I mean you think he would notice that the same people keep find the dragon balls!
