it's been a while since we've had a boss fight this hard, though maybe im just bad at this video game. perhaps the shapeless willed it bit sad to see our local quirky evil megolemaniac (presumably) die the way he did, but... he got what he deserved
Still a bit surprised that Zadd is dead now considering how long he's plagued our adventures over what? 14 years now? To me it almost feels like the Anatgonist in Mourning trope, except we're the protagonist of course, where the character is somewhat sad they'll never get to face their adversary again. The feeling is brief though and where one old enemy falls at the absolute peak of his prowess another character is given a chance to have the depth in their writing elevated further. So win-win I say. Wonder what Raven will think of this.
@@Rizu-kc3zehe first appeared as an antagonist in one of the early Frostval event, i think it was around 2008-2010, even before The Rose -forget it, even before the finale of Book 1 got launched Waayyyy older than 10 years ago
I knew sh*t was about to go down when the "Super Dove" theme started playing at the end, hah. Also, I found it funny how in the Magesterium when someone asks you if you stole something, you can apparently just respond with "The Shapeless willed it into my possession" as a defense lol
Strange strategy in that final fight. Why not target the side golems? Or did you think they were part of the background? And just didn't realise. Or didyou need to desperately get Zadds damage pressure off you? So our hero doesn't kill most villains that are human... But absolutely tolerates it if his party members do it? That aside Zadd is dead. Good riddance.
I believe it's more so because things are actually really close to the tipping point now and the Hero knows it, anything bad happening at the Mana Core can kill a massive amount of people even from far away. There's also the fact that I'm fairly certain we've been killing Rose soldiers even on the previous quests in the Convergence finale, Seppy said it himself, these are Jaania's most fanatical and extreme followers, willing to outright rebel against the Kingdom of Greenguard. They've come this far already, they're not going to stop if we just knock them out, and knocking them out is just asking for them to come back and stab us in the back once we start pushing through to the Mana Fissure, we're outnumbered enough as it is.
This made me so mad, like dang, I only got my Chaosweaver armor and I was doing so well but that old man is making it REAL difficult. How can I defeat that old man! I want him BEAT!
I think Hladach is a title actually, something like Lady in terms of what it means, basically Ostromir called her lady Raven. Ostromir kinda figured out that the golem that killed Raven's parents when they escaped to Greenguard were Zadd's.
@@TheRuinedShadow I haven't played this game consistently in an extremely long time, only to come back and, while having an immense amount of fun on a new account (damn, is the first book goofy, and I am loving it), I was very surprised to learn: Book 3 *still* isn't finished. Fleshweaver *still* isn't released. I'm not certain if it's even half-finished. *AND* they have plans for Book 4, which is wild.
In order to become a fleshweaver you have to consume your own or, maybe, someone else's soul ally so before introducing the class they have to do a new short quest chain or something I guess. As far as I'd love to see that class I am kinda glad they are more focused on the main story atm
