I love Dragonforce. They have two amazing guitar players and they look like they enjoy what they are doing. People talk trash about Herman Li but I doubt most of them couldn't even play a part of what he can. Keep on rocking Dragonforce!
Herman Li has a great youtube lesson on sweep picking, its how I learned to sweep pick which got me a top 20 sponsors choice selection in guitar idol 3! I would recomend watching more of Hemans vids guys!
The Mechanix no this bands known for through the fire and the flames and once that song came out people wanted to play on guitar hero and because of that they have a fuck ton of fans now
not a big dragonforce fan but i like the guitar they made for him. super thin. really shapely, nice setup for the pickups. im not a metal player but i would buy this if i found a used one
@angusg61 Ibanez EGEN18 TVF. It costs around £1500 or around $2500. That particular was a test model they created for him to make sure it was right before they put the final model into production. The final model is the one he shows just before
@math1st this is true. in fact, the 8-string guitar that herman had in this vid was Tosin's main guitar for touring and recording. its no coincidence that both herman and Tosin got their hands on the same model though, cuz its the only Prestige 8-string Ibanez model availabe :/
an awesome collection of vintage ibanez guitars there. the egen looks similar to the s540 in so many ways with the FM top the low pro bridge the gold hardware and the dot inlays
@Cheapooo Well, Squier is the cheaper version of Fender. But if you have some extra cash, get yourself a Squier Classic Vibes 50's or 60's Stratocaster. They're about $300 and they are amazing guitars.
@guitarzan73 yah its called another guitar player... its where they get guys like vai, gilbert, and others together and they brainstorm and record it and tell Li where to put his fingers near at certain points in the song to make it look like hes playing.. i know.. and its wonderful machine...
I think at 0:06, he actually says (and i had to repeat the video several times) "...we're making an album at the moment." But he says it so fast (for some reason lol) that it sounds like "...we're making out at the moment."
its weird how incredibly complex that acoustic riff in ttfaf sounds in the recording, and seeing that its done on a backing track live through some synths, good one
@The7DeadlyStrings Yeah, it is whatever the hell you want haha. But, i've calculated it before, and the pattern doesnt take you to a low G, as the high G is calculated from the D, not the high B. So if you want to work up the way from B, you would get a low F#. Thats why you need to go three frets along to octave the high B from the D.
