Second time listening to this. One of Voddie's best. Sound quality is excellent also. Praise God for Voddie and thanks to all who made this video available.
Gimme a break. You don't keep the law and cant. The law was nailed to the cross and our command is to love God and the Brethren. Simpleton, learn wisdom.
Thank you for this. I am a single mother. About 12 years ago I was exhausted putting my two young children in the car too go to the babysitter for my night shift. I was praying to God begging for help. I was just so exhausted and at rock bottom. I told God I am just going to marry the next dude that asks because I just need help. As I was putting my daughter in her car seat a voice behind me said “I am the head of this house.” I turned around and no one was there. Tears poured down my face. I sat in the car just crying. Thanking God for his love and protection. For showing me his truth. I just watched this and Lord forgive me for trying to take your place. You see I am very hard on my boys. I try to be the man of the house because I want to raise Men. They have missed out on a mother’s love because I have been doing God’s job. Not the job that he told me I need to do. I have been the head and not the helper. That I need to speak God’s words to my boys on manhood. I thank God for bringing me to these words today. For showing me my sins. I am so humbled. I have been sinning against the man of this house. Thank you for revealing my sins oh Lord.
You are truly born of God and he is your husband. He was and is my Father. I had no Father in my home. He raised me. He called me to be a teacher and pour my life out helping kids see the love He gave me. Moving to KY to attend Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in a few weeks. Trust him.
I’m kind of in your situation, but you learned a lot quicker! I “told” God I would just raise my kids by myself because I made such bad choices when it came to men/husbands. Now that I’m a very blessed grandma, I finally realized that yes, I made bad choices- I never asked Him!! So I’ve repented. If our Father has a husband for me to share life, then do be it. If not, so be it. It’s kind of late in the game, but I (hope!) I’ve quit “telling God” what I am or what I won’t do! God bless you my Sister along with your children. May He continue to bless, protect, and guide you as you faithfully seek Him! In the name of Jesus, Yeshua, The Christ.
I, also am a single mother of 3 teenagers and I felt for a while now that GOD has been leading the household and I will Never Stop 🛑 Thanking Him for His mercy and grace over me and my girls. 🙏🏿☝️🙏🏻
Pastor Voddie Sir, I'm near 80 and want to say, what a teacher you are. Not many are on my list of clear, precise, biblical Truth as I find you to be. It's a gift from God Himself, and know it. Humble and God honoring. Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to train you in wisdom, knowledge, understanding and revelation of the scriptures and the Kingdom of God. May spiritual upon spiritual blessings be poured out upon your family, your congregation and those who who can learn from you on Utube .
My God, I thank you that I was born a woman, chosen to be a wife, and blessed to be a mother. All Glory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, The King of Glory!
Also today 29th June 2023 is a sad day for our country, Namibia. The supreme court as it seems, has now allowed same-sax marriages to take place. Mark my words: From here our country will need Christ more than ever as they have turned their face away from God Almighty. Forgive them for they know not what they do!!
A glorious day my brother. All who will live ungodly will live ungodly, making it law doesn’t do it. And those who will love holy will live holy. Strait and Narrow my brother
I pray God raises up true pastors and teachers in every place- I live in the Uk, I think it is rare to find a fellowship that doesn’t compromise or tickle the ears. So far everywhere I have been here - I see compromise on some way. It’s very sad because many people have not been taught and challenged because some pastors don’t want to “offend anyone”.
This "minister" is exactly what fits into this age of apostasy. Two wrongs dont make a right. If christianity would forfeit their beloved jesuit bibles (niv,nasv,esv,rsv,nlt,nwt,etc...) and return to the word of God which can only be found in the protestant Bible (KJV), then and only then God might have mercy on the current state of misery in the church.
@@iacoponefurio1915I don't believe it's a waste of time because if that woman is doing it for a godly reason then God will work on her behalf through her prayers.
@@iacoponefurio1915 That is so untrue. Regardless of one or the other's relationship with God, one's obedience to Him can have powerful influence or impact or the other.
You should submit to God if you do that you will submit to your husband for the right reason and he will guide you to the right husband or right relationship with the one you have.
@@iacoponefurio1915 I actually believe that there are people who have not been brought together by God in marriage and struggle in their marriages. Just as we can use our will to choose that which we choose outside of God, the same can be said in selecting a spouse. Submittion to God is voluntary. Yes, the Christian spouse can show love and perhaps bring the unbelieving spouse to the knowledge of Christ, BUT one thing is for sure God NEVER forces anyone to come to Him if the unbelieving spouse is non repentant! A sustained unequal yoking puts great strain on any relationship and which ever spouse is a believer can only pray to God for strength to endure unto the repentance of the unbelieving partner!
The reason why God set up the family this way is for the protection of women and children. When women rebel against this, children are the ones who get hurt.
No. Woman have to be submitted to God's Word or they are not fit to be wives at all. The bible Clearly says he did this so he would have godly offspring.
I'm an elderly Christian widow and I agree with everything Pastor Voddie is preaching, for he is preaching/teaching the priceless word of God! My late husband was also saved! Yes, a wife should submit to her husband, but not if he's a brutal beast, an adulterer, etc.! Sadly, most marriages are without Christ, for comparatively few humans are saved members of the Body of Christ!😒!
1 Peter 3:1-2 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV) Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct.
Amen Jonathan! I downloaded the autogenerated English transcript, added punctuation, and translated it to Spanish. I would like send it to Christ Church to see if they can add it to this video.
Interestingly, women were using this arguement when married in ancient Rome. Women claimed they were under the legal authority of their father when married, not their husband. But this, they were allowed to divorce their husbands for the first time in Roman History.
@@CCD_106 Gen 3:16 is miss interpreted today. The men ruling over women is not directly the curse. She doesn’t have two curses. She only has one. What God is doing is telling her the effects of her sin. She will desire a husband to have children. (The pain is the curse). And the husband she desires will rule over her.
Just left my church because the leadership allowed women pastors (including allowing them to teach over the entire congregation). Please pray for my family that we believe a Bible-believing church that is not ashamed of the Gospel.
I agree with your decision. However, I wonder how far that goes. There are many women with RU-vid channels about Christianity who I enjoy listening to. Is that the same as a female pastor? What about a woman giving her testimony to a crowd? Or writing a book? Or even sharing the gospel or teaching what she just learned to another man? Like if I learned what a Hebrew word meant and it helped me understand a passage, should I only tell women? What about the women who served at the gate of the temple, or the female judges? I'm not trying to argue against scripture, I've just always kept from sharing things I've learned because I'm not sure what I should do.
@mombythesea2426 The issue is not a matter of women teaching or speaking but of exerting pastoral authority over men. There are no issues with YT female podcasters or authors.
@mombythesea2426 Pastoral authority is where you are a spiritual shephard for your congregation. So if you occupy the *office* of a pastor/elder within your congregation, you exert spiritual authority over the entire congregation. That includes teaching, but it's far more: rebuking, disciplining, accountability, etc. I'm open to listening to a message delivered by a woman as long as the message is of supplemental value (like a conference or something like that, not a sermon or similar message with authority).
11 A woman[a] should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man;[b] she must be quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. The issue is not teaching men, those are two distinct points, neither preach, nor assume authority over men. And the reasoning goes back to the garden and the fall. Also, female judges, as an example, is a poor reason, the judges were not exemplary people, they were there to judge. All had major transgressions, including adultery and rebellion(sampson), as well as idolatry(gideon). They are not an example to follow. Just as the patriarchs of israel are not model parents or people, all transgressed God's laws. Follow the example of Christ and the apostles. They paint a picture of reborn living and dedication.
What a blessing this man is to the body of Christ. His description related to the military was spot on and him bridging the gap between the church of the living Christ.
May i be found watching for Christ Jesus, the Bridegroom, returning for His Bride , the church, in which I am a serving disciple. Forgiven much; my life is redeemed from death because of sin, unto life eternal in the Presence of Yahweh!
@@joykeebler1916 the husband and wife become “one” flesh. This is the body. However, the woman is also the bride. So, the husband leaves his mother and father and is joined to his wife and the two become one flesh. They are no longer two flesh, but one. And that is the miracle of God.
This is such an important message. Thanks for having the courage to speak it out plainly, honestly, directly. I hope millions hear it and have the eyes and ears and mind to receive it.
I often thank God for my introduction to your ministry Voddie! The level of understanding that I get from your teaching is the best I have experienced. Thank you for excepting God’s purpose for you. I share your sermons with family and friends. Your teaching speaks right to my heart. Thank you and God bless
Voddie hanging on the Batman vs Susie point is so powerful. As parents we need to be cognisant of when imaginative play needs to be promoted or nipped in the bud. Gender Ideology started as an idea and grew legs when no one held the mirror of reality up to it's face. Defending The Bride of Christ is one of the highest callings.
Well said Neil. I'm in Canada 🇨🇦 and very concerned about my Granddaughter which will be 4 in Aug We have Junior Kindergarten here, so she'll be starting Public School. They are going to be introducing this whole WOKE agenda, through storyline. Grama and Grampa are gay and Tommy now dresses like a girl. I'm just so upset that this sweet little girl who knows nothing about these subjects, is being forced to listen to those stories, all because my daughter who's a brand new believer, can't afford Christian Schooling or Homeschooling. Devastating and so concerned for all the Children of North America. As Christians, what can we do to prevent this, if it's all a part of the bigger picture ?
@lorimacduff1180 your hope is in Christ brother! We have family in Canada's with children in public school. They spend alot of time grounding and rooting them in the bible when they aren't at school. Do what you can to get them in a fundamental christian school. Y'all are in our prayers!
@@lorimacduff1180don't put your kids in public school. That's what you can do. If thats not possible you will need to be completely on top of undoing all the damage every day. The first option is definitely preferable.
@@apiffanyfulcher6628 He means he'd like to tap the 'thumbs up' button many times to show how much he loves this video, but RU-vid only allows you to do it once once.
I’m so thankful for Voddie’s willingness to be obedient to the truth. His very first Bible study, The Ever-loving Truth, changed my whole understanding of the Bible.
Voddie Baucham You really knocked this one out of the ballpark😂 Just like the deep calleth for the deep Psalm 42:7-9 Thank God for you for great revelation of the scriptures God bless Amen to that.
I could agree with much of this sermon. However, I would have liked for him to speak on the portion of husbands loving their wives more. Sometimes the submission was not their because the live was not there.
Then they are not submitted to God. A woman wastes her time submitting to her husband if she is not submitted to God or if the husband is not submitted to God. It depends on God not man.
@dansmith3507 I want to encourage you to stand firm in your role and your faith. I am a wife and have been married for 13yrs. The Lord opened my eyes to see our children were rebelling against me by mimicking my behaviors. It condemned me so bad I thanked God. Then I apologized to my husband, thanked him for mirroring Christ and having patience, to not give me what I deserved.
Nancy Pearcey’s newest book, “The Toxic War on Masculinity: How Christianity Reconciles the Sexes,” is an incredibly important book for today…it’s a must-read!
Unfortunately, throughout history, fathers and husbands (not all) have have abused their patriarchal headship, and lorded over their wives and children. If men truly do love and cherish their wives as Christ loved the church, and are prepared to give of themselves to their wives as Christ gave of Himself for His church, (in selfless love) then feminism need never have been. Unfortunately, I still see oppressed women in the church today - who's husbands use the scriptures as evidence that their wives are to submit to them, but fail to acknowledge any duty to their wives, other than paying the bills.
@@Brett.D There is no solution unless all submit to Christ. And we're not going to see that happen until we all get to heaven. Each situation is different and we need to understand that either obedience or rebellion is not the solution. When Christ is the model of behaviour, then wives would be more than happy to submit to their husband's lead.
32:45 " For the sake of equality we are brutalizing women". That is precisely what is happening. Praise God that He has faithful servants such as Voddie who has the brass to speak the truth. The text is the light that reveals darkness. It's offensive to a dark and sinful world. Finally, I love the way he prayed with his eyes open at the end. Voddie was praying over the people there as if he was laying his hand on everyone there to bless them with the words from the Holy Spirit.
Don't think that I wasn't listening to the message because I was & it was great, but the sound of little children in the background was also delightful 👨👩👧👧 - a reminder of the blessings of family. Thankyou Pastor & your congregation.
Amazing message. A gift you have to take Gods word written to a certain city in an ancient culture and point it right at us! Brining light into a dark world!
Very well taught, as usual. People are under the great delusion and need to repent! We all need to repent daily for we all fall short of the glory of God.
I married a man who loved his Church but didn’t follow Jesus. It really hurt our children. Six people have died because of this..people following churches and pastors instead of Jesus. Stay with Jesus..Folks! 😊❤

MARANANTHA!
I needed to hear the sermon today as I know so many women like myself want a husband but tend to be rebellious or disobedient in nature. Women should submit to a good kind man of God.
It can also be a form of self preservation. Not rebellion but cautiousness. Submission is literally trusting someone with your life and if you're finding it hard to see yourself submitting yourself to this particular man when you are married then look into it, you may not trust him and it may be that's something you're subconsciously knowing about him that has not removed that distrust.
@@daisiesandpandas1218good point. Be careful who you wed. How many women are submissive to a husband who is mean and evil to her, or lazy. Don’t be unequally yoked. You need to seek the Lord before diving into that marriage. Even if he’s a believer, doesn’t mean he will be the husband that God has in mind for you.
The scripture doesn’t speak to Christian but to holy people. Practically everyone is a Christian but no one claims to be holy as the lord says be holy because I am holy that what it say and that also what the apostles taught

Its about provision and protection. Feminist don't understand that God is establishing boundaries and protection for their wives and children. It's not about oppression!
Voddie is among my top 10 favorite contemporary pastors/theologians, alongside Paul Washer, John MacArthur, Steve Lawson, Conrad Mbewe, Alistair Begg, Joel Beeke, Sinclair Ferguson, Nate Pickowicz, & Jeff Durbin.
Jeff Durbin is a preterist unlike Voddie, MacArthur, Begg, Lawson etc...I support Durbin's pro-life work, but not his preterism of which seeps into nearly all his sermons these days...
@@praisejesus0406 Yeah I’m certainly not on board with the entirety of his eschatology (or MacArthur’s). I suppose I can call myself a “historical premill”, in that I trust the certain prophetic events have already occurred, while some have yet to occur. I’m definitely not a dispensationalist.
@@peterc3262 No, I gotcha. I say I am not dispensationalist because I understand much of “Israel” when mentioned in the New Testament, particularly in Revelation, to mean the universal Church, not the literal geographical country. I also say that I am not a dispensationalist because salvation, though of the Jews (per John 4:22), means that though without God’s chosen people; the Jewish people, there would not have been Christianity, that doesn’t negate the necessity of faith alone in Christ alone for salvation, regardless of one’s religious or ethnic background. Lastly, I also understand there to be no biblical basis for the concept of a “rapture”, at least in the sense of what has been sensationalized in things like “Left Behind”.
@@peterc3262Dispensation is a predominant fundamentalist cult tied with Zionist premillennialism that claims god changes. A God who said My kingdom is not of this world.
An appointed message needed for this time. More churches need to repent and submit to Christ and not to the world. Lord forgive us, correct us, guide us, so that we will present ourselves to our Heavenly Father and to Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Christian’s I pray that we stand firm and not bow down to the “things” of this dark and broken world. The battle is against Christ and we will be persecuted for it. He will strengthen us to pursue and see us through. In Jesus Name AMEN! 🙏
This is why it’s so important that women are wise choosing a husband. If you don’t respect the man before marriage, you won’t respect him and submit to him during your marriage.

I know this is true but though I constantly try to surrender my fear to Jesus, I can't seem to let it go. I beg the Lord for help with my faith, help to trust Him and help to find gratitude. This has been going on so long - this intense anxiety and loneliness, that I'm physically and mentally so ill I can't function and I'm.on my own.
