I love Deborah’s approach with investments - if she isn’t 100% on the taste/smell of something for example, she can’t invest. It really does show how she does need to feel 100% behind the product itself and you could rely on her as a genuine investor 🥰

What a mistake. I’d take whatever Peter Jones offered me. I’d rather own 28% of a multi-million pound company that 33% of a fledgling, niche company.

They made a mistake by not going for Peter, Peter would have guaranteed more sales and ideas and with his connections it could have been big.

I personally like the taste of honey, more specifically, the golden colored honey. I don't know what bees it comes from, but in the stores, it literally looks like a jar of liquid gold. It shines and everything.

Turning Peter down was a silly mistake and one I hope they live to regret. Beeing greedy in business is a risky move.

Having seen almost all of the episodes, I must say Deborah is very knowledgeable.

The last statement about accepting the offer and regretting it in the morning was a bit strange, did those two not understand how it works? After the show it takes a while for all the due diligiance and paperwork to go through during which time one of the parties usually withdraws from the deal, isn't a silly low number of deals accepted that actually go through? With that in mind it's best to accept the deal then pull out if something better comes along, they all do it and some get better investment offers just from the exposure on the program.

This is one of the best ones in terms of professionalism and the discourse is clear and they are clearly very knowledgeable and well mannered

I'm genuinely surprised that people come on this show and expect to get away with giving anything less than 20% equity. I feel like one night of watching this show and you'll realize that they always want average 25-30% equity.

They should’ve countered 20% going down to 15% when he’d made his money back or 25% down to 18/20%

These guys missed a trick here. Everyone thinks that Fruit juice is a step above squash and a healthy alternative to fizzy drinks. Truth is a glass of pure fruit juice has a comparable sugar content to a glass of Coke. Now it's not.. Apples to apples 😉 as fruit juice does have health benefits that fizzy drinks don't but that means little to the diabetic or people trying to lose weight by cutting down on their sugar intake. This product is a step above squash and a truly healthy alternative to fizzy drinks AND to fruit juice. The small cartons are great for meal deals but the real market is as a mealtime beverage. You wouldn't buy ten little bottles at the supermarket you'd buy one or two large cartons for yourself and your family to have at breakfast and supper.

They are trading and they name Boots, Waitrose etc. as stockists on their site, but they are not in all of their shops (or they haven't updated the map there). With Peter onboard, they would most likely have sold substantially more by know. They might have a larger stake in the company, but the overall pie is smaller than it would have been, had they accepted Peter's offer :) While I do think that, I also believe they should have countered with a buy-back option.

They probably would have gotten Peter to commit at 20%. Dumb decision to turn down Peter, his connections would have gotten them listings in big chains over night. Better to have a small chunk of a big pie than a big chunk of a small pie. Hope they still exceed though

I personally love honey in tea. Swapped from sugar years ago and never looked back. Too much sugar is far too sweet, and not enough is too bland. Honey makes it taste perfect in my opinion.

ONE SINGLE drop of honey does not a sweetened drink make. Sugar is three times sweeter than honey. I would have to use several teaspoons on honey to sweeten a drink compared to 1 teaspoon of sugar, especially in hot drinks.
