I get that last guys deck. To win in a format where the average deck is much stronger than your standard deck, you have to win with numbers. 4 decent standard decks together surely can take on a timeless deck.
@@yougotbelled127 Back then Magic had a mechanic called "Mana Burn". "Mana Burn" made it so that when the mana pool was emptied, any floating mana would deal damage to that player. That mechanic has been removed and then Mana Drain became one of the best counterspells in the game.
@@astuteanansi4935I respect his jank brew, it's definitely the sort of thing I expected to see at some point when mana drain got added. The real jank I'm waiting for is using mana drain along with chromatic orrery to spend that colorless mana on anything lol
I literally never saw a 250 card deck that didn't curve perfectly. Back when that cancer was still in rotation, I lost count of how many t2 Luminarch Aspirants I saw out of these decks.
This is evolution. The past few decks, Crim has had Mana Drain, but mostly just passed and wasted the free mana afterward. Finally he has an outlet for it.
Crim, please play your own version of that last deck. 300+ cards, just put in all your favorite cards with fun synergies ala a Mega Brawl deck. And then go hunting Mill. They concede during mulligans? You hunted mill. They stick around and try to play the game? You get to play your favorite 300 cards on Arena WHILE HUNTING MILL. Bonus points for running it full WUBRG. Double bonus points for running singletons.
I am begging Crim to read his cards.. tried to draw into a land with the Ring while not attacking with the Drone that would seek him a land and instead leaving it up to block while he has Ring protection is.. wow.
P.S. if you’re playing karn and you don’t know what’s in your sideboard, you can click on your deck and choose the sideboard option. Just figured I’d remind yall that.
At 17:40 ish Crim was wanting to potentially get rid of his "One Ring" after he had animated it. But he also had "Eldrazi Displacer" on the field and while "One Ring" was a creature, he could've blinked it and reset the counters.
It seems Crim thought Aether Hub just always taps for any color, or he forgot that he had used up the energy. He eventually figures it out when he is unable to cast mana drain off of Aether Hub a couple turns later
Damn, I wish crim would tone it down like just a notch or two. I want to enjoy this deck but it is painful when the target audience is apparently "16 year old with ADHD"
