Top is Kendrick’s old label Boss who basically guided and dictated Kendrick’s whole career. Drake dissing him by saying he had to do songs with whoever Top told Kendrick to do them with (Maroon 5, Taylor). When referencing splits, Drake saying Kendrick not making no bread because his label Too Dawg is a label under multiple labels (Aftermath and Interscope) so the labels got cuts of all his work. Kendrick is independent now after his last album but Drake saying he was asking Top to come back and help him. Now Metro mad at Drake because a female, Drake took his ole lady.
