As someone who speaks Spanish, his Spanish on songs like MIA and Odio in the past actually sounded good. He had an accent but you can tell he tried hard to sound as clear as possible. On this song, it sounds like he wasn’t even trying. His Spanish sounds horrible. People keep saying he’s just showing love to Latinos but you show love always not just when money is involved.

The whole beat thing being louder, every Mexican regional/corrido song will have loud instruments. Honestly why we enjoy the music so much. Even if it’s not the best singer, the band plays a huge part. Anyone can hop on a rap beat and rap, but not everyone can pull up with a banda and sound good. Respect to Drake for real. This is huge, being Mexican myself never in a million years would I have thought the biggest artist in the world would get on a corrido. You can’t even hate on it.
