It feels like a lot of the hip hop community already made up their minds and sided with Kendrick. I’m actually on Drake side now bc yall are being so disingenuous.
👋🏾 I'm the same.. I tune in to this channel every now and then to see if they updated their bias approach into a more fair approach, but every time I do they're literally the same.. like Drake's diss wasn't weak in any form
i thought drake stood on business. i've listened to that track probably 100 times now. it's a great diss until you realize k dot doesn't give a fuck about money and if he did he wouldn't be rapping how he has rapped for the last decade. drake did what drake does, centered his diss around having a better record deal and thus more money. if you're not paying close attention, money power respect, the last one is better, dot already lined dude up a month ago for the headshot he's about to get and here we are praising drake for having some clever punchlines but still no substance. drake doesn't have a long enough scope to see kendrick no diddy
Y'all gotta do your research if you wanna have a serious conversation. The "wiped down" lines are about numbers. All those artists Drake mentions are currently selling more than Kendrick. It's an objective fact. It's not just what Drake thinks.
@btorres5x no your standom for Drake means you can't fathom people not thinking the diss was all that. They praised the bits they liked what more do you want? Drake can't rap with Kendrick in terms of flow or substance but he did his bag well enough
@arnabsaha8581 every dead end fan knows this. And it's fine, we all have our favorites. I fuck with Kendrick just like they do. All I'm saying is for THIS specific debate, it is detrimental to come in with biases because it defeats the purpose of a discussion when 3 of the guys dismiss anything drake says or does. From my point of view, it would be more constructive and more fruitful to try to be neutral and critique fairly. The dead end crew make the best debate videos when there is balance and objectivity. That's when they thrive. It's one of the reasons why we all love this channel.
Aside from the jokes and classic Myke things, i feel he would bring balance. Because right now having 3 Kendrick fans and Feefo somewhat neutral is ehh. Love DeadEnd tho dont get me wrong.
What a wild out of touch timeline. Most the drake shit was just general stuff not directed toward Kendrick at all. Kills half these mfs inside to give Drake any due credit🤣
It’s funny that when Rod FINALLY and I mean almost 20 minutes in.. mentioned the Drake lyrics Beezy and Ken started laughing and HAD to acknowledge what was said.. downplaying push ups is crazy.. you guys said he was scared of Kung Fu Kenny and wouldn’t say anything
@@Artislife1992ask black thought, Lupe , RTJ ,3K, Nas And many other lyricist who openly spoke out praising Drake That same question can be posed to 99% of mainstream rap post 95
@@JayBTilInfinity that means nothing to me. I asked you. You do realize some ppl are jealous of Kendrick and some say things to get a relationship with Drake. Same way ppl suck off Jay. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Important to note Drake's response to control was also to get on an interview with Angie Martinez and say that the verse was some "harsh words" (actual quote, look it up)
No way they heard the finished version of Drake’s diss and saying THAT beat was “horrible”. I’m convinced they heard the unmastered leaked one. Also the Drake hate/Kendrick bias is real from Ken lmao
@@king039 Nah i feel you, i didn’t think it was horrible but i preferred the original leak with the 50 sample in the background if i’m being honest. Wish he would’ve just added onto that one but if we talking just straight production it was an ok beat.
Kendrick already said it on like that - money power respect, the last one is better! Going after Kendrick about his money is stupid, the man doesn’t care. Drake has to make Kendrick look less respected to hurt him.
Feefo messed up the timeline a little bit. Kendricks Bet Cypher verse was a response to how Drake reacted to control. Because everybody who was mentioned took it the right away and Drake was the one was salty saying that he had no interest of collaborating ever again because of that control shit. So Kendrick responded with the bet cypher
the cope here is crazy, i hate drake almost as much as yall and to just outright shit on his response is wild. he addressed everybody going at him, he threw good shots AND had good bars, he flipped the prince vs MJ line which was probably the best diss on the like that verse. cmon now
As a massive fan of Kendrick, yall are coping HARD. Dude went directly at everybody and had bars and clever rebuttals for everyone. The Prince to a King line? Drop and give me 50 triple entendre? Sooo many memorable lines.
The push ups line was weak dog. I really thought drake was gone step it up lyrically when it came to him coming at kendrick but i was let down. Size 7 shoe? He tried to create a catchy song with quotables instead of bars that actually hit
Honestly it doesn't matter and I don't know either said keeps mentioning it. He talked shit, it came out, that's it. Whether he owns it or not doesn't matter, UNLESS Drake apologizes and says he was in feelings and doesn't mean it.
If Beezy hates this Taylor made freestyle hes a 🤡. Im a Kdot, Drake, and a last place Cole fan, I just want rap and entertainment and this man Aubrey is hitting on all cylinders right now. Kdot drop that shxt so we can reach the next level.
@@directedbysunny”hiding in your NY apartment doing lyrical gymnastics. I better see a quintuple entendre in there. Something I don’t even understand “ ya mans getting cooked 😂
@directedbysunny You must be one of Kdots Steppers, mad at the fact your boy is getting tapped danced on by some new balances from Toronto. The fact that dot wanted the smoke on a feature verse and hasn't said a peep since, someone has to keep us entertained while we wait.
Mayne, I tell folks you can't count Drake out. Entertainment wins beefs. What good is all the bars and entendres if your competitor has everyone laughing at you? Pusha only won cuz he revealed Drake's son. If that didn't happen, I don't know if Push wins. So idk mayne. Love KDot, but this not as easy as a dub as folks want it to be.
Y’all missing when Kendrick did the writing skit inside of Heart Pt IV then immediately said “hoe jayz hall of fame, sit yo punk ass down” Then goes on to say “you ain’t bigger than rapping” Basically Drake is the only artist that consistently ran his mouth at Jay Z. We know the ghost writing shit. And we know the dismissal that Drake is just a pop star. Clear shots.
Kendrick also took clear shots at him in Pay 4 It, All of the Stars (when Drake congratulated him on winning Grammy he basically said I don’t want your congratulations)
Nobody are bigger haters of Drake outside of Ken & B. No matter what he does they automatically hate it and if something is good they’ll downplay their compliment but whatever Kendrick does it’s automatic the greatest thing they’ve heard.
Ken and especially Beezy are "haters" in general tbh new music, artist (aside from the odd new artist) they will generally not be a fan of whats being reviewed
It's not hateful to admit that your favorite artist keeps dropping bad albums. What was Drake's best album since IYRTITL? You can f**k with it, but it's wack as f**k. Drake is a good rapper, he drops some good music, but his albums aren't that different. Otherwise, Kendrick is much more consistent in his catalog. The man hasn't drop a single wack album since Section 80., . You can argue that the last one doesn't have a lot of mainstream tracks but it's a really good album.
@@nickalaslindsay7800 what's surprising is that if they were true Kdot fans...they know he has said way better... That verse he did sounded like a throw away honestly
Ken straight slandering without Myke to keep him in check. Ken tried so hard to hate on Scary Hours 4 but couldn't say anything bad about it. Now Drake puts out a great response which is now even better with the "What's The Dirt?" channel doing an excellent track breakdown on the same day as this. Keeping with the facts, denial is a river in Egypt.
This Drake hate gimmick has been lasting for over a decade so Ken has to keep it going I guess. He trolls too much and he don’t even believe in what he’s saying. Outside of Drake, Ken does stuff like this on the pod and Myke calls him out on it. Ken’s personality is to be a troll and he’s too deep in the gimmick to even get out of it.
Overall, Drakes track did hit. As a Kendrick > Drake guy, I have to admit it. But I think it's important to note that Drake also didn't say much. He's essentially just comparing numbers. Which is fine this early on, I guess, but empty at the end of the day. I think they're even at this point. One advantage that Kendrick has is that Drake hasn't had to defend him self like this much over his career and the one time he did, he took his ball and went home. Huge L. If Kendrick can bide his time and let Drake talk his shit on the gram, Kendrick can seal this one with a single, level headed response angled at Drakes big ass ego. If I were Kendrick, I'd record over that 2nd beat on Furthest Thing from Nothing Was the Same where Drake says, 'play this shit at my funeral if you catch me slippin' and then sample some quotes from that interview he did once he bowed out after Push shut him up.😂
can some of yall chill in the comments man damn! people acting like they dont know how some of the guys feel abt drake or dehh changed all of the sudden or sth, shit. yall gotta be new lol. n let myke rest gatdammit 😭😂 love
I usually never click a DEHH video when it has "Drake" in the title because I know no matter what it is, the opinions are already preformed. Kinge will hate it, Beezy will hate it or call it mid, Feefo will say its "ok", and Rod will usually be left on an island defending it/liking some of it. After clicking this video, I see that hasn't changed.
I still stand that control wasn't really a diss. It was competitive, but not disrespectful. He was giving his peers props in the sam breath. I even seen a video where Drake said he saw Dot right afterwards and he said it was cool, but he "lost respect for him." I believe that was before the cypher.
Drake said he saw him after and K Dot was normal to him.. he then realised ohh.. it wasn’t smoke you were just rapping and he lost some respect for K Dot.. he said he kinda wished K Dot stood on what he said rather then say it’s nothing
Tbh theyre hating. But the Drake was smart for talking about everyone on the track. He made it seem like Dot is just another person he's getting out the way. But if you look at how Drake has moved on social medua since releasing the diss. ...his whole focus has been on Dot (minus a few metro & ross posts).
K Dot definetly is going to respond but I don't want no long wait, he replied to Big Sean after "No More Interviews" in 10 days with "The Heart Pt 4" and I hope its THP6
TDE ascended when Kendrick signed to Aftermath. Dr Dre did a lot for Top and the TDE family so I know Drake is reaching. Kendrick has shares in TDE and I’m sure Dr Dre covered Kendrick when he left TDE because Kendrick is still with Aftermath/PgLang.
I know Kendrick gave yall a shoutout so yall gotta be loyal to the man, but Drake did his thing on that Diss track. 😂 "What's a prince to a King? He a son" "Metro, shut your ho ass up and make some drums" The line about Kendrick giving verses to Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift.. Y'all didn't talk about any of these 🤦. Drake was coming at folks.
Just because the sample is nice doesn't mean the entire track is well produced. The drums are kinda weak and the beat is not the best, especially compared to what Like That sports. Like, if you're going against Metro Mothafuckin Boomin, you BETTER have a nice ass beat.
@gabehere 1. it wasn't a sample, it was an interpolation 2. Bruh.. production is much more different than just a beat.. the arrangement of the beat in which certain things were brought in, and even the beat drops were aligned & arranged nicely.. it was most certainly fitting and created a mood/canvas for what Drake was sayin and how he was flowing The arrangement alone makes it a good production. Whether one likes the "beat's" drums selection and all that, is personal preference, but beat making and producing are 2 different things.. and the beat may not have been as "Like That", but the production certainly wasn't weak at all
Push Ups is fire. The way people are trying to downplay it and say “it’s solid” or “it’s not enough” is so weird to me. It’s clear they’re on Kendrick’s side.
How? By saying he’s short?? You honestly think that’s good enough? Stop acting like it’s ether and earth shattering. You switching sides just cause you wanna go against the grain is weird af lol
@@threestacks9025 “For all the dogs getting buried, that’s a k with all these 9s he gon see pet cemetery” Bruh, I know you’re capping for Drake, but telling a man he’s short while claiming he sold out for pop artist (something Drake did his whole career) sorry them bars don’t hit. Good track. Good response. If you think that’s gonna beat Kendrick you buggin. Kendrick’s silence got y’all feeling anxious 😌
This definitely was NOT the nuke Joe Budden thought it was lol and I totally disagree with the imaginary clock people expect diss records to come on. Whether Kendrick drops today or a month from now we're all still going to listen.
Theres so many bars people missed. Including me the first couple times i heard it. Drake is so coded. For example i just saw a breakdown on "Drizzy Chip N Dale". Chip N Dale are known in their cartoon for outsmarting Pluto. Which is also Future's nickname. Drake rarely throws a devastating blow like Tyson but he punches fast like Ali. I'm just sayin.
You can not like the diss, you can not like the beat .. whatever. Objectively, it was a great jab and it was clever - anybody saying otherwise is hating yeah.
I think the purpose of Drake’s diss wasn’t really about the potency of the disses to Kendrick, it was more of a way to preemptively take the sting out of what Kendrick could possibly say about Drake by pointing out Kendrick’s hypocrisy if he did so. Sort of a B-Rabbit move, if you will.
These Drake fanboys is rolling deep in these comments 😂😂 Side note correction: after the control verse Drake responded emotionally in an interview saying he didn’t wanna work with Kendrick no more. That’s what caused Kendrick to go at him again in the bet cypher
There's an interview out the with Birdman and Slim for GQ magazine. Where Birdman says "we are forever in business with Drake" maybe they're still in business in some ways.
Drake is there guy.. Drake loves those guys.. he knows they helped make him who he is.. it’s like John Cena.. till this day he gives a percentage of his money to Vince McMahon because he put him on
