Hey everyone Chris here. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Drama Time is moving to its own channel in the new year starting with Season 11. As some of you may know the RU-vid algorithm is a fickle mistress and punishes varying types of content pretty harshly and Drama is a niche show at the best of times so its continued presence on this channel has been more of an issue over time. We've been debating it internally for probably the last year but we decided to pull the ripcord and do it. All of the old episodes will remain on this channel so all links and playlists will still work, although we will be putting all of the old playlists on the new channel as well.

RU-vid is really gonna regret making channels being diluted too much. Forcing all the content creators to create extra channels and having 'mono-content' channels that are forced to be 'short content' because the algorithm has AD/HD and cannot allow anything more than 10 minutes at most. Also it forces channels to be just one thing and live and die by that thing because even if you have a new channel created for the new thing, it means it is gonna start from scratch. Not to mention it is causing way too much 'subscription bloat' for the users also. Every creator being forced to create at least 2-3 extra channels for different stuff they wanna do and you get a subscription list that is 5 times larger than it needs to be. Again, I don't blame the content creators. I blame RU-vid for its terrible algorithm.
I agree which is why for someone like me who's gonna upload randoms either stream gameplays or speedpaint videos or just topics Im not even gonna bother monetizing on RU-vid since they hate their content creators who make man mature stuff even it shows its Anti like for the specific entertainment and because I could go out and make money from either Commission projects, maybe patreon or even Go to Rumble (RU-vid Alternative now) Which Btw spread the word about Rumble because unlike RU-vid they wont punish their content creators for things that aren't causing real harm but making fun stuff.

It's so stupid that youtube punishes people for doing different stuff every now and then on their channels, makes it hard to do what you really want I guess.
LOL sis in law likes starting shit and I'm here for it hahahahaha I do think they were super worried and kind of took it overboard, like yeah for sure creepy but like you said it's not strange to get rp messages on a RP server. Deleting the character to avoid getting messages seems really extreme for like a couple of creepy messages from one dude one time hahahaha
I played Druid Bear tank in Lich, no body knew it wasn't stam you stacked, but it was agility, you wouldn't have the same HP pool, but you took less damage when hit, & if you timed it right, you could switch between bear & kitty, using burst windows on each, & end up highest on the dps meter since your CDs kept ticking for your other form, just needed healers that could keep you alive when in kitty form.
Drama time is prime time on this channel for me. The content is great and never ending, the idea itself is amazing and I'm looking forward to every friday because of the funny stories. As long as it continues, I will watch it.
I get it's harder for dps to get into dungeons, but I'd be fuckin pugging that shit to get my attunements done if I had to. As a prot pally in tbc I felt that when he said he made an alt to get some peace.
I get to sub to two Preach channels and the algorithm will hopefully start promoting you more? And it'll hopefully start pushing Drama Time on more people (though I do worry it'll lump it in with actual youtube Drama rather than the audience that actually wants it)? Sounds like a win/win to me. Sorry you had to do it, but hopefully now that it's done you'll start to see some gains. Love your content Preach. Keep it up.
Honestly Patchwork is one of the fights my guild keeps losing immortal too as the melee dpsers insist on going hard from the start and beating the 3rd offtank on threat.

Don't give that degenerate waste of oxygen any more name recognition than he deserves. As a fellow MGer that comes in and out of RP as well, I disagree-- the world is different in RP servers and as long as people don't come here with a shitty anti-RP attitude I don't think it's worth judging people for not doing active RP scenes. It's def considerate to just fill out a minimal TRP though.
Pffft, our last naxx run took about 10 minutes, and that was with the dance party! Of course we didnt kill anything, but we were only there for the dance party.
the arcturis camp is real tho. back in mop, when I was camping it, a literal troll hunter came up and killed a spawn i waited days for, then pulled out his own arcturis
I mean, it really depends on how many hours you play for how fast you level. If you only have a couple hrs a day then yeah it could easily take a week or more.
Yeah, been disapointed with Preach in general over the last few months. WoW says jump and Preach has basically said how high. Keep checking twitch and here but haven't watched in months. Was into the FF8 playthrough... dropped for WoW. Was looking forward to MMO December as that is my favorite genre, lots of great games out there that do different stuff..... dropped for WoW. If this channel is going back to WoW centric that's sad. I will move on from Preach Gaming. Best of luck.
if anyone remembers that drama time about that girl that collected furbies please let me know! I suddenly had a memory of it and I want to watch it again. lol but I cant for the life of me remember when it was or what that drama time was named.
My guess would be the sensitive nature of some of the subjects with possibly retention hurting for people who don’t watch drama clicking off after a minute or two. Maybe language as well.
People watch different things, and if they are unlikely to engage with Drama Time, then the algorithm will think that people don't like this channel's videos and stop promoting them. This includes people like me who enjoy Drama, but need to be in the mood for it/have an hour to put something on in the background, so that all hurts the main videos which people are more likely to engage with immediately.
It gets less views in comparison to the shorter videos -> RU-vid algorithm doesn’t like that -> RU-vid less likely to promote all other videos on this channel, even the short form ones
It might be better to have drama time on another channel. A channel with a theme of mmo drama and stories of adventure opens new avenues for interesting content. Maybe it could host DnD games with staff and other content creators Preach seems to like story and dressing up...
You guys should give Asmongold a curated list a the best Drama time episodes and have him react on stream to promote the new channel. Incoming subs from his chat could help boost it in the algorithm early on and that could help it grow long term.
i'm so sick of creators being forced to cancel certain types of content because youtube is stupid. glad you're just moving it but a lot of newer stuff just gets canned because of it :(
fantastic, now I can finally sub to Preach's main channel. I asked for this many months back as WoW drama stuff has no interest for me, but I like watching the other stuff, so this is perfect, thank the youtube algorithm gods for this
