Your art is super cute and this is a really neat way to present a draw my life as opposed to the classic whiteboard set up. Also your voice is really soothing. All around this is great, Aaron!
Aaron! I absolutely LOVE this video! YES! Please make a part 2!! I was a lot like you growing up too. I always thought something was wrong with me. I’m so glad I know different now. Love you sprout daddi 💙❤️
Your art style is so fluid! The video set up made it very calming to watch, while also being able to bit on an experience that can be more difficult to express. It was great :)
"nuns everywhere. and my dad. my dad wasn't a nun" 😂 anyway i enjoyed hearing your story and this is by far the most artistic draw my life I've ever seen. this seems like a really cool way to mesh your art and youtube and I'd totally be up for more stories in this format!
Your art is so adorable, I love it. Thanks for adding at the end how, despite everything that seems “obvious” in hindsight, you didn’t actually know you were trans growing up. That’s definitely something I’ve struggled with communicating to people: how I didn’t know until adulthood, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t exist in my childhood.
So long story short… I started sobbing. Your voice is just so soothing and your art style is so nice and this video just made me feel like I was home(?) in literally any and every sense of the word.
"W-why are you straddling the toilet? Please stop. " I know this meant to be a meaningful video but I just found his tone of voice hilarious. Love you Arron you snazzy human you 💙🤗
This format was really cool! I loved the “story time” aspect as well as the time lapse art. A part 2 would definitely be a thing I’d be interested in watching.
Ilysm!!! I relate to this so much!! I didn't come out till I was older too so didn't understand what I was feeling when I was growing up. I cried about the boobs too and when I got them. I would look at my nether region and felt I had a penis already, I stood up to pee too. I wore my brothers underwear and it'd feel right to me. I loved the animation you did here too it was so cute and how you told your story was great too!! Love you!
This was perhaps one of my favourite videos of all fucking time. The varying art styles made this so cool to watch and your voice is so soothing and this literally made my night. Thanks for sharing, you are a gift
I absolutely loved this video. I love the style and how you did the stories. Being older it’s nice to see that the thoughts and struggles I went through that I wasn’t alone. Thank you so much.
Really loved the style of the video! Hope you do more of these. Also, I just feel like you were so happy doing and voicing this video, idk, I just really loved everything about this video
Holyshit Aaron, this is AMAZING! I can't begin to imagine the number of hours you put into this. It's so beautiful! I relate a lot to the "shrunken penis" and "perfect flower" part. I found out I was trans through watching a documentary on Intersex people followed by another one about the pregnant guy. Or maybe it was all the same show. I also saw one show about a 13yr old trans boy and I remember desperately wanting to communicate with him and I tried emailing the TV station about it.
If someone, at the age of like 9-10 had just been like "Hey this is homosexuality, this is transgenderism" to me, that would've saved SO MUCH time and money.
This is beautiful Aaron, I see great things ahead of you and actually think you would be an excellent teacher and most certainly an accomplished artist.
This is really good! It is actually my favorite way people tell stories. Just watching the drawing come to life. I love the expressions and body language. As an artist myself I know how difficult it can be to animate things. I can't wait for the next one!
Man this was really good, Aaron! I kinda like it better in this time-lapse style anyway bc it's different than most other draw my life videos I've seen & your art style really shines in this. I can't animate either (or I can't be bothered to spend the time on it lol) but I wonder if folks would enjoy one from my perspective? Maybe one as an intersex trans guy, what my childhood was like being CAFAB, how my dysphoria affected me, how I realized I was different, etc would be interesting?
Wow....this...is....AMAZING!!!!! Every single bit about this is so good!! Your character is sooo cute!! And then your dad in the nun costume + your mom punching through the shower 😂😂 perfect👌 also it's really interesting to see your drawing process 😊👍
I just have to say I am so happy I found your video because the same thing happened to me. Just a few months ago I actually figured out I’m trans, and I’m just so happy to see there are others that didn’t know who they were and grew up confused ☺️
Aaron, it's SO clear how much energy and effort you put into this, and the result is worth every moment. Love, love, love. I love your live vlog style vids too, this is just a clearer look into your art, and I eat it uppp.
i'm absolutely in love with this video!!! you draw so so so well, you're a talented story teller and i love hearing about how your mind processed things in childhood. the perfect flower thing was actually very endearing :'-)
Omg I thought I recognised your voice! I always listen to You're So Brave (a FANTASTIC podcast btw) and I was like "wait why does this sound like Aaron??" then I read the account name and everything made sense. Anyway, this is an amazing video! As a trans guy, I can totally relate to a lot of this. You told your story so well, and the art is amazing! Keep up the good work !
You are incredibly talented, Aaron. This was a pleasure to watch and super similar to the way life played out for me - meeting that one girl and feeling more like her boyfriend and then eventually discovering my identity as a transmasculine person. I can tell there was a lot of effort that went into this. The perfect flower thing also made perfect sense to me as soon as you said it even though I've never thought of it that way. Thank you so much for making this video!
OMG AARON THIS IS SO RIDICULOUS AMAZING❤❤❤ 1st your art is amazing; then yr voice over is absolute perfection and also the way u tell stuff is so funny/entertaining really and just like - this looks freaking professional af ????♡♡ like idk I'm just having all the artist admiration 4 u big time even after I've been such a fan of yr videos & you're so brave 4 so long. Pls make more content like this ❤❤❤
I loved the format! It was so cute, and I had no idea you could draw!! (I'm fairly new here lol) anyhow... this is literally just a huge example of why THE MEDIA NEEDS MORE GOOD REPRESENTAION!!!!!
Do you have any idea how happy it makes me to hear that lmao I have never enjoyed making something as much as I enjoyed making this (it was also extremely time consuming, but SO worth it!!)
Please make more of these! They are helping me understand my child and how to talk to my family about their transition and that it has been a lifelong thing, not a trendy, 6 month thing 💗💗💗
Even though im pretty sure you have talked about all these things individually on you're so brave it was great to see it in this format!! Awesome work ❤️
I love this format so much. You did such an amazing job and you're a wonderful artist. I look forward to hopefully seeing more stuff like this from you
Omg please make more of these, the art style is so precious! I loved hearing another persons story as well as seeing an animation. I love this so much! 💕
Aaron ah I love your art SO MUCH??? This video is so amazing and great! I'd love if maybe you could do a series, animating some of your childhood stories?
