I literally cried so much during this. I'm a first generation American and my parents are from El Salvador and they came here with nothing and now they own businesses and we can afford for my brother and I to go to university and every time I wanna give up on school I remember that my parents didn't come here for me to have everything and fail. I'm guilty of assuming all beauty guru's are blessed with easy lives because in my life make up was a luxury I could not have and I grew up with the mentality that anyone with make up was blessed and privileged and obviously I've learnt what's the truth but that is still somehow my first assumption and I am always sorry when im proved wrong.. Wow I love how real and humble you are. My parents were born in Juarez Mexico so my mom grew up very poor. She isn’t the healthiest now because she barely ate. She came to the US to give me and my brother a better life. She doesn’t have a job but she’s been cleaning houses for 22 years and that’s how she’s been giving us everything we need. I am very grateful and proud of her. My moms the strongest woman I know.

Yasmin, This is my very first time, that I have listened to your life testimonial. I told my husband now for 32 years, that hearing your story, Really brought tears to my eyes, for I know so many people have gone through similar situations, as you have. I have to commend you for your inner strength, boldness & courage, to be able to share your very hard life, of what you were put through, at such a young age. Although, at any age, this sort of abuse, loss etc should never, ever happen to anyone. I am so very sorry that this happened to you. However, I am so touched that you have that spiritual connection with God, that I believe with all my heart, was the one that carried you through the hard times in your life. Where others would blame God, you did the right thing and knew that people have free will and do evil things and this happen so much. But by holding on to your faith in God, your life ended up for the good. This experience has made you that much stronger as a person & through life in general.
