I did an entire essay in psychology on the way emotions are conveyed through facial expression, body language, hand gestures, and tone of voice. HANDS AND BODY DISPLAY EMOTION IT 100% COUNTS. 😅

You should hire animators to make a shorts out of your characters! It would be really cool too!!

Expressions can be tricky especially if they are subtle, but they can really add a ton of character and nuance to an illustration if done properly. I always thought of being bereft as an emotion comparable to greif or a sense of profound loss rather than just emptiness but your definition isn't exactly wrong either and incredulity to me is closer to skepticism or dubiousness than straight up disbelief.

Incredulous is like suspiciously quizzical. Pretty much a wtf. Bereft is like grieving or giving up on life. I think no associations are wrong and this shows the range emotional interpretation can look. Whatever you interpret is the best answer. Kind of like with japanese comics there are sometimes well accepted expressions most of the rest of the world wont get. Are they wrong? These were all so fun and amazing. Pretty ninja. She’s such a skilled cartoonist it’s insane. I think the serious face looks angry because of the shadow and the position of the lines, like if the brow was a little higher and the mouth a little straighter it would look different? Maybe? doesn’t matter. There’s so much going on in so many deep but simple ways there is a wealth of personality and insight to explore while still bring fun and basically as addictive as any good cartoon. This person is dope.

A note on the editing: there were a few times that due to the scrolling of the camera, the drawing that you were working on was half off the screen for most of the time. For example sad, bereft, shocked/ surprised, etc. It's hard to see what you are doing when it is at the edge/ half off the screen. I understand wanting to do interesting editing and it was very fun to watch overall! Perhaps just keep this in mind in the future whoever edited this video. As always your art is fantastic and I really enjoyed this video!
