As a French person I was *outraged* when I discovered that "moths" were called like that. Like "night butterflies" sounds so cute and innocent and "moths" almost feels like they are vampires waiting to feed off your blood.

My day has been blessed by the positivity iguana 💖 This is the kind of weirdo art I would buy prints of and hang in my living room. I love it so much

I didn't know I needed Mothiew Mansuini in my life until now. But even more I needed the iguana yelling positive affirmations. I love lizards and just yesterday I was talking with my friend about going to see reptiles when I go visit him in 10 days. And I struggle a lot with feeling like I don't deserve loving, so this made me so happy, I would buy the heck out of a positivity iguana shirt or print.

Fantastic video yet again. On a side note, I'm literally not in any way a professional artist neither is the person I know who uses alcohol markers, but they usually color the art first over light pencil lines then once the color is done they line the drawing. It might still bleed with your markers as they're different then their's- it's just a thought.

God that positive affirmation hit me hard. As an ace person who experiences trauma-based sex revulsion, I often feel that I’m not worth loving because I usually can’t (not won’t, can’t, though either is valid) show physical affection in the way my girlfriend and even family and friends need me to. Even the simplest things, like hugs and reassuring pats, are sometimes so difficult for me to accomplish. So I think, like, why should I be loved if I can’t love in return? So yeah, that lizard just validated my entire existence. Thanks, Aaron

When this is the first video of Aaron’s I’ve watched in about a year But I’m also a furry I’m so dang happy :’) this is perfect

I know that, when silk painting, dyes can be moved around by alcohol. Could be the alcohol in the lighter colors pushing back the dye already laid down. The alcohol keeps it from striking the fiber, so it can be pushed. There is a challenge with that leading edge - on silk you have to be mindful not to let the dye just land. Going back with a clean brush (or qtip) just damp with alcohol can reactivate, so you can blend it together. Not sure if the paper would hold up to that. And I have to say, the weird aunties on the shelf made me so very happy. That's me - AuntieSash - ready to be that weird auntie for fabulously beloved "kids" who need one.

Now that you have a bunch of copics from,,, unknown origins,, I recommend getting copic liners! They are really good and I uh, misplaced mine whoops, but they worked really well each time I used them, and they get really thin (I think down to .01mm? Something like that) so they might work for you, especially with the copics! I think there is still a chance they might bleed/smear if they are still wet enough when you start coloring, but I’ve had pretty positive results with them

This is nice to watch after a looooong day at college (silly me decided it was a good day to try not wearing my various leg braces and walk around the building every hour) I'm almost in tears cuz I'm finally laying down and it's cathartic almost. Laying down hurts at this point but it's good and bad tears, y'know? May not make sense, cuz, brain fog. Wishing you many spoons

Those look amazing!! Oh for me (I draw as well) it helps to not get the black smudgy bits if you do all your colors and drawing first then go over lining it with the black. You’re making outlines and your markers are re wetting them when you color, which does the smudge. It’s kinda like in digital art your black lining layer is over the later you do all the colors. I hope that helps!!

I love this video! If you want to see a green moth, Google 'Puriri Moth' (poo-ri-ri) - they're a native moth to New Zealand and they are big bois - the afab moths can have a wingspan of up to 150mm. If you want lighter hues, either use the colourless blending pens or a q tip, dipped in ethanol and almost like watercolours a wet in wet approach.

my favorite fine liners are actually prismacolor ones if you want a recommendation! they’ve never smudged for me (not sure about larger nibs but .005 and .05 work really well)

Tips from ya boi who loooove alcohal based markers: •Microns fune liners work good, I use a 1 or smaller to start then go over over with a 3 at the end. •sometimes I use the bullet nib of the marker as line art towards the end. • this is weird but I use alcohal markers like water color. I use an absolute frickton of layers. •the layers for humanoids skin goes as follows: base color way lighter than what the finiahed color will, reds or other blushy colors, map out shadows, base color again start building that to the final color you want, same with shadows. •I use a col erase colored erasable pencil to map out my drawings. It usually dissapears with the marker or adds cool effects. Sometimes I lighten it before coloring. I think those are all my tips💕 You can check out my art insta to see what I mean. I don't post much but its @haydrewdraws. Love you and ya vids!!!

Also a tip is if you put another sheet of paper under your hand when you’re drawing, it stops your hand getting dirty and the graphite smudging

Alcohol based markers are meant to be extremely blendable. So they are meant to blend into each other to that. Excellant job on your new hobby and Holy, crap! I love to ants! Have you seen ants Canada? He's seriously awesome!

If you're actually going to make a fursona just know that you're allowed to make it look however you want 😊 you don't have to make it look like a real moth (Peek all the blue foxes and purple cats).

Ever since I went to Pride in an ace flag cape, I can't stop thinking about an ace superhero with an ace-coloured cape and flying like Superman with an ace ring on. I think it would look so cool but I just don't have any talent/skill when it comes to drawing or photography and I really, really wish I did

idk if you would classify it as a chemical reaction, but alcohol markers use pigment inside alcohol as the ink, so when you make a mark the alcohol dries and the pigment stays, so when you put a lighter marker or plain marker alcohol over a mark, you're reimbuing the pigment with alcohol, causing it to move around again.

I think the liners all bleed because they're alcohol based. I don't know if Micron pens would work, or if you've already tried them. Maybe a super sharpened black pencil crayon could work as a liner since they're kind of waxy??

I don't see this as a comment, so I hope I'm not telling you stuff you've already heard from folk, but if you wanna see a green moth, google Luna Moths! They're a vibrant green and really pretty! Fun fact: Adult Luna Moths have vestigial mouths and can't eat.

Copics are so expensive :0 Top tip (am a product design student at university) copics arent the best to start with as they blot a lot of ink on the page in one go so you have to have a really quick hand. Something that draws more like a felt tip but can still be shaded are windsor and newton promarkers (they are also a hell of a lot cheaper)
