forthehumanity The solvent is Zest it pencil blend, and its on the end of her paint brush. Amazon $11.68, or maybe your local art supply store. I normally use paint thinner to burnish in the lighter stages of layering, but I might give this product a try!!!

What the one on top said. The bad thing, since prismacolors are so soft you're also murdering your pencils from all that pressure. If you want it like that, i recommend buying the colorless blender.

@Anna_Crossing

Colorless blenders scratch the paper a lot and breaks extremely easy, which defeats the purpose of it since you have press down so hard to actually blend the colors. Trust me I’ve had them for years and I’ve found that layering color and slowly pressing down harder with each layer, though a bit time consuming sometimes, works much better.
@wallrrusslord4779
@wallrrusslord4779 4 года назад
I find colorless blenders useless. They burnish the layers and it’s hard to get new layers on top of it

My very first prismacolor pencils a set of 12 with a color stick. We’re from an art teacher who was my mentor in the kindergarten and I’ve never really used them because they were sentimental value and I still have them today 19 years later. Coloring…thanks for posting and I definitely need to get more supplies

Kirsty! I just love your drawings EVEN drawing samples of skin is fascinating to me. Could you please tell me how long each of the real time was for each skin sample? It appears that that the fair skin, the first one was about 4min 15 seconds approx. I really get thrown by how long that it takes me to get 1/2 way where your skin looks like skin. Also, what is the paper that you use for just a standard drawing. I LOVE watching you and if I can aspire to be 1/2 the artist you are I would be content!! Thank you for the inspiration that you give me. I really admire you and I appreciate it!

I haven't finished the tutorial, but I am glad that you listed the colors and gave me a reinforcement of the importance of time and layering. I do kinda wish that you had told me an explanation of when you switched some colors because I don't understand blending as much as females.
