The “Invest your time in something else” argument is very interesting. Because the NBA is such a huge success because of the fanatics. I love the game of basketball but I don’t pay a single cent to watch games, buy merch, etc. It is the die hard fans who invest their time, and energy which makes these guys make more than 99% of the world population
@whatchusayintv
@whatchusayintv 11 месяцев назад
That’s false, most of your money is made off of casual fans that’s why they make all these rule changes to appeal to the masses. That’s why espn talks about Lebron 95 percent of the time…Casuals will always make you the most money in damn near every field
@seanseany6481
@seanseany6481 11 месяцев назад
I totally agree with you . I’m conflicted in draymonds argument because he and many sports stars will not earn millions were it not for fanatics who invest their time and energy into following a sport. His sport and value of the nba will not be what it is if it wasn’t for fanatics. There will be no value in winning championships were it not for fanatics who make the story what it is.
@emmanueloppong9778
@emmanueloppong9778 11 месяцев назад
@@whatchusayintv Fair point. To reach the masses you must focus on the casuals. I don’t think I expressed myself correctly though. My main point was to oppose that attitude these guys have (which I used to believe as well) that it makes no sense why people care so much about these athletes and celebrities. I’ve come to realize that the main reason they are able to make so much money is because of the fact that people care so much about things that shouldn’t matter in the grand scheme of life. @@emmanueloppong9778 haha thanks and also I get it there’s great sacrifice and self gratification and achievements for athletes like draymond who excel in their sport and he could possibly argue that the fans don’t really matter. But at the same time would athletes invest much time and effort into their craft were it not for the fans who make sports narrative what it is on a global scale? This also goes for the appealing to casual point the guy above made. There would be no espn to cover and focus on specific athletes to appease casuals if it weren’t for dedicated fans that make sports what it is beyond a financial scale I.e the narrative, the pressure , the praise, the love and the hate from fanatics

Ya'll been stupid. 😂 It's obvious you didn't watch these games or you know nothing about basketball. I'm a Dubs fan and actually watched these games, and Draymond was not the reason we lost. He's not the top 3 reasons we lost, you're been ridiculous.

I don’t know where people get this concept like if you’re good with someone you can’t be competitive. It’s just like the park or rec center we can be best of friends, but i wanna win caz I’m not sitting out no matter what.

Dray was super soft on the lakers series and that’s a big part of why LA won. Dude was almost non existent. He might not notice how it effects his game but trust me, lebron do.

Idk what game you watch Draymond always play better against anyone. As soon y’all realize the lakers were the better team y’all start pushing this narrative that Draymond was playing soft and his letting lebron to win.

@karimgreen8732 9 месяцев назад
This is straight facts. Idk what this Lakers fan above me is talking about… it was obvious Dray didn’t have that same edge, tenacity, toughness against either LeBron or Davis that series! Case in point: a year earlier, against the Celtics. He was a massive instigator. Hard fouls on Jaylen Brown. Being extra physical. Talking mad trash. He had none of that same energy against the Los Angeles.

@@karimgreen8732 because LA were just the better team Draymond did play tough. Stop trying to scapegoat Draymond warriors lost because klay and pool was straight garbage reeves outplayed them. Call it how it is the Lakers were all around better team with the great depth.

Draymond did seem like he was playing tougher against sabonis than anyone on lakers lol. We needed more intensity during he lakers series

We’ll AD and Lebron are not sabonis plus lakers were better all around better team. Reeves was averaging more points than poop as the third option.

Straight BS. It was obvious Dray didn’t have that same edge, tenacity, toughness against either LeBron or Davis in the Lakers series! Case in point: a year earlier, against the Celtics. He was a massive instigator. Hard fouls on Jaylen Brown. Being extra physical. Talking mad trash. Getting technical fouls! He had none of that same energy against the Los Angeles. Even in the first round series this year, he was yapping hella hard at Sabonis. Completely taking him out of his game. Any non-Lakers fan saw that Draymond was a water downed version of himself against LeBron.
