I think they're called "furring strips" on top of the deck...but I'm not positive. Purlins are the actual boards that hold the roof structure....I just did a little research on it...but I could be totally wrong, and often I am lol

You should have gone with a copper roof like the dome of the Basilica Chapel in downtown Minneapolis! Seriously though, that's a cool idea to rent out for weddings and such! Tech tip think about Rose garden hobby for color interest!

we talked about it....unfortunately real copper would have cost me about 20k....even at 10k this hurt my wallet pretty bad

with no strips holding the metal off the the roof condensation gets trapped /takes longer to evaporate. that can do two things. warp the metal and the wood.. The peel and stick underlayment should help with both.. The building looks fantastic.. you will see in my videos we have all metal roofs. we have all the tools to do the work. I turn both the sofits and rakes over the drip edge.. now metal roofs torn off here. The only way to go..

looks like they had to use hand tool for standing seam due to arch flat standing seam there is a electric tool that makes quick work of standing seam

honestly...it's been over time so I couldn't give ya an exact cost....I have it insured for 150k in case of fire or bad weather destroying the roof or blowing it away

For the love of God, I hope you will be using real stone/rock on those piers. It's a beautiful structure and it would be a travesty to use fake stone. 😎

coming soon....and we will be using an engineered stone product that's river rock. As much as I'd like to put "real stone" on the pedestals...the cost of real stone is over 20k....I have a stone place locally that I picked up the materials for around $4k. Vids coming soon!
