Dream Start! Metal Detecting With Silver Under A Minute!

Watch me discover history in a nice looking forest full of surprises. A tiny (1788) silver coin under a minute of metal detecting and plenty of interesting relics afterwards!
What a dream start it was followed by 1700’s buttons, Roman/medieval finds and a special French Napoleonic surprise with the number 117.
I’m not sure about the bronze strap fitting. Is it Roman or medieval? Does it contain a piece of fabric, or is it leather?
It was a memorable relic hunt. I hope you enjoyed it.

Hallo Andreas, vielen Dank fürs Vorbeischauen. Habe nach der langen Pause endlich mal einen kleinen Ausflug mit dem Detektor unternommen. The strap is awesome! Love the Roman nails. I hope the fox stuff, if it is poison, is no longer allowed. Sometimes, they put out sterilizing meds…..sometimes rabies meds.

Hello, I'm excited to see it every time. Diamonds are hard to come by! Well, your detector only works on diamonds, right? But silver coins are hard to come by, right? There are a lot of buttons though. Ancient people always wrestled with people when they met, right? I'm sure!

I was hoping you were going back to the creek you marked a spot with rocks because it was too deep to dig. You have a lot of places you should re-visit. You said there were a few where you found coins. I remember one with 3 cash registers stashed in the weeds, you never cleaned that place out.

That's true. I have two spots full of coins I should re-visit and some deep targets as well. It bothers me thinking about it, but it's not always that easy. I also have a spot where I found a deep target that looks like the surface of an Alien space ship! This one is really interesting. I have pictures of it, but the video I was taking is lost (for some strange reason). I closed the hole and added it to my collection of deep "unidentified" targets... Maybe some day I will re-visit it.
