I agree it's probably Labrie's best work, just discovered you, great reaction so far keep it up bro you're better than 95% of music reactions. Don't change anything :)
Just found your channel. I really liked your reaction and honestry throughout the entire song. Also, in my view, this is also one of the best (if not the best) work by James Labrie. Absolutely on point and with so many different registers and so emotional!
Johnny thank you so much for releasing this video and for your efforts, dream theater has been a big influence in my life and this song always reminds me of the long trips i took with the train ;) definetely double pair of 👀 👀 from me 🤣
DT = Expect the unexpected "Dream Theater's music has always been about being experimental, open-minded and above all else unpredictable" - Mike Portnoy
From @14:00 -> i always loved to play those open chords (petrucci). This song in & out is a masterpiece and surely one of the greatest prog songs ever made
Great react, just discovered you. Unfortunatly, drumer can replace his drum, guitarist his guitar... Singers cannot... James was at his greatest at this time. He is still the soul of the group btw for all DT fans
Cover photo depicts a young boy playing in snow... look closely and you will see. Back cover of the EP Is an old man in a big winter coat on the beach!!! with a scowl on his face...
I just want to say that as much as there are many sources saying the lyrics are about portnoys moms death. I think that it is actually about His entire life as a whole in which the carpe diem section focuses specifically on that part of his life.
Great reaction to one of my favorite pieces! I think this is my favorite performance by Labrie as well. I totally agree with you about his voice. As much as I love DT, Labrie's voice sometimes gets annoying. You should definitely react to their other epics like Octavarium or if you're up for a challenge, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (the 42 min song).
Good song and reaction, but you should make a reaction about two of the most progressive songs of Nightwish, I mean to "Fantasmic" parts I, II and III of the album Wishmaster, and "Beauty of the Beast" of the album Century Child. Thank you...
Longest song ever? Lol, it is average length for a DT "long song", which is around 20-25 mins. But the real longest song is 42 mins, which is Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
