this song is so, so good. it’s like stepping into some other world, and when you get out, you never realize a full eight minutes have passed. well. that can be said for a lot of DT discography but you get the point!
What comes to mind.. The never ending changes in our world, how everything changes and is different from how we remember them being, how something fades away from its former glory and something new comes along and devours everything in its path and pulls us under in the process only as a subtle reminder as to how temporary and insignificant things are, until we wake up and aren't afraid of being pulled under again
I remember when Pull Me Under came out. I bought the cassette and played the shit out of this song!! I don't remember anything at the time being so heavy. At the time I was into 60s and 70s heavy rock bands and some of the thrash bands like Metallica, Overkill and Slayer. Thanks Dream Theater!
Remember hearing this for the first time in like Fall of 92. What an incredible tune. I'll always want to hear this now and again for the rest of my life. lol

I'm new to Dream Theater. So far, I've listened to A Change of Seasons, Octavarium and Pull me Under. I like their music. Any suggestions for songs or albums, let me know.
Cool dude. This is the sound I think they are heading in with their next album. I saw them live Tuesday preform the bigger picture, they are currently in the UK on their 25 years tour. I would recommend octavarium next to listen too, it's heavier and considered by many their best album but most think it's scenes from a memory.
