Thanks for checking out more Dreamcatcher! These are my opinions on what the nightmare story is about based on lots of viewings and seeing others break down individual parts of the story as well. Fly High is the Prequel for their Nightmare story, and it shows the events that start the curse (Yoohyeon burning the spider) and how each of the members get overtaken by a darker (nightmare) version of themselves due to what Yoohyeon did. At the end you can see Jiu closing the gates to the school to trap the curse from spreading further and to keep them from going out into the world to do more harm. Sonically, Fly High combines elements from their Minx days, the poppier, lighters elements, with who they are now as Dreamcatcher, with the darker heavier sounds. The intensity of those darker elements continues to increase as the song progresses with the Nightmare fully taking over by the end. The full transition from Minx to Dreamcatcher. The Nightmare series as a whole feels like a mirror for the groups journey from Minx to Dreamcatcher and the Nightmare that they went through when they didn't know what was going to happen to them. It's a reflection of their own personal nightmare and lyrically a lot of the things that are touched out fit into the ideas of being lost and unsure of your place in the world, not knowing how to move on from that, and the depression that can come with those emotions. As far as order goes, I'd say just continue with the songs in release order at this point. This will give you a chance to see how they evolved as they released new music. The rest of their MVs are - Nightmare Series - You & I What Piri Breaking Out - This is the alternative ending to the Nightmare Series and is their first Japanese release. It's a more hopeful ending than what Piri shows. - Special mini album - Raid of Dream - Deja Vu - Dystopia Trilogy - Scream Boca Odd Eye - Special mini album - Summer Holiday - BEcause - Apocalypse Trilogy - Maison Vision Bonvoyage - Japanese releases - Breaking Out - listed above as the end of the Nightmare series Endless Night Eclipse You're right about their experimentation with different genres and sounds. While all of their title tracks have those rock elements they're constantly changing up how it's utilized and what other genres get blended with it. Their b-sides though are where they really get deep into other genres. If you want some b-sides with videos to check out so you can get a feel for what they do outside of title tracks then check out these. This is just a small sampling of their genre diversity. Red Sun - This has a special clip performance video and the choreography was done by Sua, the lead dancer. Black or White - This is a funky homage to Michael Jackson's song of the same name. There is a performance video on the Dingo Music channel that's safe to react to. And there was no one left - This has a special clip on their YT Channel. Wonderland - This has a special clip on their YT channel. Jazz Bar - There's not a special clip for this but there's lyric videos or live performances. Sleep Walking - Special clip on their YT channel. Demian - This is their most recent special clip and is a b-side from their most recent mini album. The choreography for this one was also done by Sua. Enjoy!

"Fly High" is probably the poppiest of the Nightmare arc. It was not done by their usual production team as well. But it makes sense, since this is a prequel, so bringing in a bit of the Minx sound makes sense to me. There are really heavy parts in it as well, which clearly state that they are not Minx anymore. And I love the dark parts thrown in, they really make the song special. The light part sung by SuA after the metal break is in major, while the rest of the song is in minor. That is why it stands out so much. They did the same in Good Night, but a lot shorter. About the MV: You can see Yoohyeon burning the spider, which brought the curse of the spider queen down on the members. You will see the spider queen again in You and I. In Native American mythology, spiders are considered protectors, that is why a Dreamcatcher resembles a spider's net. That is a brilliant connection to their name! 😊

Regarding order, this is the 3rd video but a prequel that takes before Chase Me & Good Night. So you're pretty much good to go moving forward in release order since there are no more deviations.

When you get through the whole Nightmare arc, I'm gonna give you a link to a video that explains it for us. They have a lot of details that are hard to find, because some of the lore is only given in interviews, and snippets of behind the scenes stuff. And Dreamcatcher do experiment with a lot of genres. But their title tracks all have a bit of rock to them. In this one, it is established that the members were witches, and they were in a school to learn their craft. But after JiU catches the spider Yoohyeon burns it, unleashing a curse on them. As they all succumb to the curse, JiU traps them in the school grounds to contain the spread of it. This school, over the years, becomes the hotel that we saw them in in the beginning of Chase Me. After they defeated the Hunter in Good Night, they are able to get out of the grounds & are now able to wander the world as nightmares.
