Hiding under a rock is no fun, I just found these girls three days ago, I listened to them all day on Spotify and I love them! Cool stuff

Saw this comment on another video: "A theory that's been floating around dreamcatcher comments has been that the three songs in the dystopia set of songs (scream, boca, odd eye) are symbolic of "hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil". All three of the videos were set in different time frames (a more medival setting, modern street, and cyber futuristic). When it says that they never found the utopia they dreamed of, it means that no matter where/when, despite how "sophisticated" the world becomes, the world never becomes a perfect utopia because hate always finds new ways to spread."

JiU said that the use of Odd Eyes in this MV means, one eye represents the 'lovely side' on the outside, one eye is the sadness on the inside. Means, the real utopia should be the beauty inside everyone. Basically it is the blunt truth that *we don't have the power to find Utopia* and fix everything and everyone, and make things 'better'. So in the context on online bullying, I think it is saying something along the lines of: We can't stop people being toxic online and 'fix them', but we can acknowledge the sadness on the inside, and find our own 'utopia'. To me this is kinda just telling us what we need to learn to live life, if we can't accept that the world is harsh and we are going to struggle sometimes, then we are for sure going to struggle to find the utopia (because it doesn't exist) and therefore will struggle to live life to the fullest and be happy. We can be beautiful if we focus on ourselves, no matter how you're born, or what struggles you go through.

Utopia doesn’t exist in the world, it only resides within yourself. And even then, it’s difficult to hold on to ... if you find it at all. Ok, that’s depressing lol. The chorus is really catchy though lol :)

I love this song so much. It’s really the end of the utopia era. But I love how they evolved this story, it’s such a pertinent message. There is no utopia where everything is perfect, but there doesn’t need to be.

from my interpretation, odd eye is just a continuation of the dystopia theme which is a criticism on social media. here it paints a picture of people falling into false reality by looking at things through an unrealistic 'odd eye' via the internet. you see the world 'reality' in several frames and you can see the imagery of the world/them distorted, fading, etc with all the other imagery of the internet like the recurring tree and more obvious in this mv actual cell phones and computer screens. we all know how some people can totally lose track of what is actual reality through the pitfalls of social media channels so in this regard the last screen is just saying utopia just doesn't exist the way people want it to.

Usually when a group releases an album there's usually the one or two songs that you don't really like (because they're filler). I've been listening to the whole album and I actually like all the songs! I hope that DC finally gets their first win!

As someone who who has pushed aside their own personal haters i can safely say this song is awesome. The last 3 albums have fitted exactly with what I personally have been going through in life. It feels awesome to relate to a song so much. And to be free of haters. I've reached my version of Utopia

The ending isn't depressing, it's realistic when you put it in the context of the rest of the video: utopia doesn't exist, so don't try to fool yourself into thinking it does by burying your eyes in the false perfection that social media and other similar platforms will try to feed you. You have to open your eyes and face reality, and once you do that, you can find the strength within yourself to move forward in an imperfect world. The message syncs perfectly with the one from Boca, that you shouldn't be silent while others suffer. Dreamcatcher is emploring us to be more honest and courageous, and we would all do well to listen.

I have never had a problem with watching the visuals and listening to the song, the thing is pausing, it totally kills the feeling of the song. First listen non stop, second listen is to analyze stuff.

From what I can gather from the trilogy, Scream was about being targeted by hatred despite having no real fault and eventually becoming fed up (see the final chorus “I just wanna make /you/ scream” instead of “please /I/ don’t want to scream”). Boca is about protecting others who have that needless hatred toward them; they were hardened by that hatred directed at them and now want to protect others by not letting evil persons speak (by shutting their mouths). Odd Eye is sort of like the final realization, though, that you cannot stop evil completely and fully and create a utopia without hatred and evil. Ultimately, they tricked themselves into thinking that they can protect /everyone/, stop /all/ evil, etc. It’s a really interesting turn to come to after Boca’s almost heroic feel. There’s no heroes, really, and they realized maybe that the “utopia” they found is worse than “normalcy?”

in my own perspective this song simply tells us..all the Utopia we are all dreaming of is not real..THERE IS NO PERFECT WORLD..we gotta find it within ourselves

it's not Uplifting, but i don't think it's depressing. when jiu started talking about how they will probably reach utopia next time i honestly hoped not. to me odd eye is about trying to find utopia in the digital world and realising the personas people project online aren't the whole truth and utopia is a perfect illusion.. which would also tie in with the the concept of wearing a mask but now not just to spread hate anonymously. and that doesn't mean happiness or goodness isn't real, but just that everything is complex and flawed and so are people so dreaming of utopia is setting yourself up for disappointment. i think if this really was them somehow finding utopia now it would feel quite dishonest with the whole story being so grounded in reality

You need to listen to the instrumental track. You'll never hear all the complexity of the music from watching the MV. The music track is turned down a bit and the vocals/visuals are very distracting. I don't find the end depressing. It's just a realistic acceptance of the human condition. We're not perfectible by any means we currently know. What worries me is the temptation to genetically alter humans in a search for utopia.
