The history of this song is literally the history behind dreamcatcher, a failed dream (minx) that create a nightmare that actually isnt a nightmare, is just a better way to follow the dream that they have (being a band that is loved), the song also have a dozen of references to dreamcatcher songs (actually they say red sun, scream, fly high) and similar lines with breaking out and my way (japanese songs) and i think some lines are refered to other songs (wake up, what, over the sky, chase me) that they dont say the song but something that is related

When I first heard this my jaw dropped, then I headbanged the shit out of the rest. The double bass in the end is screaming for a proper moshpit. Fellow metal head Insomnia's, we need to give Dreamcatcher their first proper mosh when they start touring with this song. I need to see JiU's reaction to a circle pit for their music.

i've heard the guy who did the drums in this song is the drummer of japanese rock band "coldrain" 😁

Now that we know why Chicago and Dallas concert had 3 days between. It took them the whole 11 Dec in Dallas to do the photoshoot and went to the Dallas concert on the next day 🥺🥺 Just how hard working they are? 😳😳

a lot of groups who like to dabble into rock as well tend to do this tbh. one that comes to mind specifically is day6- their japanese releases hit MUCH harder than their korean ones. these groups know what they’re doing when they chose their title tracks😭

I love all their stuff, but I have been wondering how hard they will go into the metal genre ever since I discovered them. I was not expecting this. As soon as I heard the intro I just had this feeling of realization. I just kept saying "YES! Let's GO!" over and over XD

This was SO METAL!!! I love it! I mean I absolutely love everything from them, but I really did not expect them to go this hard! BUT THEY DID AND IT’S AWESOME!

I died at "I need a cigarette"... this song is unbelievably good though even my husband that is not into Kpop was jamming to it.

I loved this comeback soooo much and their versatility, showing they are not afraid anymore to try digging deeper into heavier genres (I'm referring when they changed from minx to DC). I can relate this more to Band Maid than Baby Metal. PS: If you want to watch/listen jrock with attractive musicians.. xD try visual kei. Some guys are disturbingly beautiful (the type of disturbing that makes you wonder your sexuality).

This is exactly what I wanted from Dreamcatcher. I love it. Yes it had a Babymetal vibe. But can you imagine them with Band Maid, Misa on Bass Kanami on Lead and Akane on Drumbs ! That would be so Dope also Saiki on vocals would blend well and Miku on Rythem and her charm would definately be a plus. Two of my favorites teaming up would be a dream. Just dreaming lol. Love them both.

I actually think it sounded closer to Band Maid than babymetal personally. It'd be a dream come true to see them team up for a collab though since I'm a huge fan of both Dreamcatcher and Band Maid! Plus, Misa makes the bass SHINE like no other! Seriously, if you've never listened to Band Maid I recommend DICE because Misa's bass solo is GLORIOUS!

I totally agree, this is definitely nothing like they've ever done before. This track came out fast and came out hard. The guitar riffs really killed it. That tapping... and of course that double pedal right at the end..

The whistle in Piri is not a Piri, but the sound at the beginning of the chorus (at 1:02 in the official MV) before their oh oh chants is a modified Piri as far as I know. Btw I remember how Jiu shortly after their debut as Dreamcatcher said that she was a bit afraid that her voice might not fit in the group (anymore) because it's more soft and better suits acoustic instruments and not rock. Now look at her killing it every single song they release and now in this straight up metal one too at 2:16 in the official MV.

I have a feeling you'll love one of their other Japanese original songs, too, My Way, and Breaking Out may take a listen out two, but I think it'll get you too. Basically check out Beginning of the End, their Japanese full album. Well worth it. As you probably figured out, Pony Canyon is the label promoting them in Japan. As I understand it, they do quite a lot of anime OSTs, so that's a thing that may happen too... 😜

But the first time in Dreamcatcher history, I didn't like Dami's part, maybe they should have added e guitar backing. But I Stan these girls for doing this song for their dear international fans, coz I was dejected by dystopia.💝

i love how hard kpop groups can go in japan. Even groups that usually dont do rock in korea, end up doing rock stuff in japan (like INFINITE with the songs Dilemma and DNA. Dilemma was a collab with a famous japanese guitarist, but i sadly forgot his name.)

Hilarious. You and I had the same exact thoughts on their focus in Korea vs. Japan. Same with the comparison to a BABYMETAL song. Trouble is, my Korean is so much more advanced than my Japanese, so I would prefer they keep the rock in their Korean stuff, as well. Hoping they do more metal-sh Korean tracks, and perhaps even a collaboration with Diablo. That would be killer.

Actually, the Japanese version of the Dreamcatcher album or single music project was prepared for a concert in Japan. Unfortunately, this project can be said to have failed (totally) due to the Covid pandemic. The single's title track (Endless Night) was produced by Japanese guitarist Kuboty (who also provided the guitar & bass parts), while the drum parts was provided by Katsuma of Japanese post-hardcore band Coldrain. Over the Sky and Silent Night are songs featured in Dreamcatcher's second and third Japanese single, Endless Night by producers LEEZ and Ollounder. Work ethic, in Asia, especially Korea and Japan who are members of a team only focus on one direction/peak, like a pyramid. Just like the Dreamcatcher team, they focus only on Dreamcatcher, nothing else, so there is very little information about the people behind the scenes. The success of Dreamcatcher is the success of the whole team. Ps : @The Champ Of Medium; The hoodie you're wearing is interesting.
