Dredge is a 2023 video game developed by Black Salt Games and published by Team17. The player controls a fisherman, who encounters increasingly Lovecraftian creatures as they venture out further into an open world archipelago. The game was released on March 30, 2023, for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X and Series S. The game takes place on a day-night cycle, where specific actions the player takes like fishing push the clock forward. The player does a short minigame when an undersea creature approaches in order to determine if they catch it. If the player stays out until night, a panic meter starts to rise, with higher levels leading to hallucinations that change reality around the boat. Once the player reaches a port, they can sell their catch, which can be spent on upgrades for their boat, adding things like headlights or a thicker hull. The boat has a predetermined amount of space, and the player has to choose which gear to fit inside. At ports the player can also accept side quests, completing tasks for the residents of the islands to earn rewards. You know, as nice as it is to see more gameplay of Dredge, I can't believe you discarded the Castaway while you were at Greater Marrow. Little Marrow was right across the bay... You were so close.
I usually love your gameplay but it frustrated me to the core how you refused to move things around in storage to fit in new stuff. You could’ve caught so much more and been so productive if you’d been a little strategic with your storage spaces.
@@glp I am a little angered that you took so long to use the storage fo its intended purpose, buy better stuff, read the stat-boost book & use the research part...What exactly was your reasoning for holding off?
Not a heavy gamer at all, and I found this game by accident. Could not put it down. I don’t know if that was a bad or good thing (not being able to put things down, considering the game? hmmm)! In all seriousness, this was excellent.
For everybody wondering and those who weren't but might now that they see this: Dogs can live off fish as a protein so long as its cooked, deboned, and unseasoned. The dog will be fine with research lady, she can't live off only fish either.
This game is so soothing to play/watch, it's calm, but not repetitive, gives a lot of opportunities and quest lines, as well as multiple endings, two words Extraordinary game
Keep the game movies coming!!! Man I've been watching for years, I still remember the "GTA Movie" you guys were working on. That shit was Dope AF!! Keep up the good work!!!
This game looks very relaxing which is a problem since I play when wife and kids go to sleep. I suspect I’ll be passing out with my controller in hand a lot if I get this!
Looks fun some chill stardew valley life simulator with some cosmic horror elements for that extra flavour of petrol station sushi delicious and it might make fishing bearable
His gameplay is boring he never explores at night and missed half the game he also sleeps almost constantly through the game play it will be 3 pm and he will find somewhere to sleep and he goes to docks acting like hell so something important but no he sleeps
You know, a little bit of commentary wouldn't be bad. Just like an introduction from the person playing the game and maybe some comments about things they like in the game.
Except that would make the whole "no commentary" thing kind of... worthless? Some people (like me) just prefer watching a game to enjoy it for what it is; not to listen to someone's babble about it while playing it.
There's a reason why it said NO COMMENTARY. You want commentary? Go to a RU-vid gameplay that do commentary. Next time you gonna whine like a little spoil prick that you are, learn to READ! You're not a preschooler, oh wait you are.
@@KingKong-ws6zx they weren't saying they wanted babbling, they suggested an introduction with minimal commentary (something that could easily be skipped)
