Awesome car, great driving skills! Video was recommended by RU-vid in my search for buying an m240i rwd… a rare thing in the Netherlands.. this definitely made me want one even more!
Thank you! They are really fun cars and you definitely won’t regret getting one! I’ll have a full head to head review of the RWD vs xDrive M240i on the track in the future! In short, the only negatives I find are the weight and the steering feedback but the chassis is so good that it provides plenty of feedback when pushing. The B58 is such an incredible motor as well.
@@CorCast the weight is definitely there however BMW hides it very well with the shorter wheelbase! Also, the initial turn-in is the best I’ve felt on a Bimmer in a long while. I used to have the F87 M2 Comp and the turn-in is better on the G series! Drive one if you can!
Reminds me of the last M2, it just wants to drift everywhere. Xdrive is likely the faster version of the two but definitely can’t drift like this car can. The front wheels will simply pull you out of the drift the second you give it throttle.
You can do STUPID ‘rally’ type of slides with the xDrive M240i when they have the all seasons. My buddy with the X3M on this channel had an M240ix for a hot moment and for some reason BMW was sending them from factory with the all seasons however you could just toss it into a corner sideways and go full tilt on the throttle! It was so much fun. I am about to work on my xDrive versus sDrive M240i track video; the results were… interesting. I had my M2 Comp for a while but I find the new G chassis much easier to initial the drift. I think BMW made the steering ratio a bit quicker!
Much appreciated! I actually will be posting regularly now since I’m changing professions and will now actually have time to devote to RU-vid! I appreciate your support!!
