Great tool! I've been sharpening bits on a grinder for decades and I'm pretty good at it, but this thing does it perfectly in a fraction of the time. I just sharpened about 40 bits in no time with no issues on my first use, super happy with it.
I owned a blue one 10 years ago. I gotta say it was the biggest piece of shit in my garage. I'm going to give you guys another chance, buying the 500 as I type this. It better blow my skirt up or I'll be coming back.
I bought the 750x and put it to work. I gotta say the instructions kinda suck. Took me a few hours of putzing with it to make it sing. It proved it's worth many times this weekend and I'm now a believer. It's not faster than doing twist bits on the grinder, but it's much more accurate with less brain power. It's a keeper. Not enough information and how it works, also we need a test of old drill bit after sharpening the bit ? the camera man not showing us the importing process !
I would have expected a video with this lack of quality/closeups from a DIY, but not from the manufacturer. Come on Drill Doctor, you make a quality product, follow up with quality video!! Thumbs down.
Does it matter what direction you turn the bit do you have to turn it clockwise or counterclockwise would like to know before I destroy a very expensive bit
For someone who just purchased the 750X this video was not helpful you said nothing about opening the chuck to insert the bit, there are no degree marks? You work for the company but for the average consumer newby this was not helpful. The DIY guys are more detailed ☹️
I have a DD & can't get it to work for me. Called the phone # & they were not help full @ all. Was told no dealer or help in this area. It grineds the edge backwords w/ a reverce angle. Where can I get help on how to use it?
I am having the same issues, it’s a piece of crap and all the drills were sharpened backwards. It’s cutting the back end of the flute. Probably going to return it tomorrow

This video is not much better than the confusing instruction manual that came with the tool . He only really covers 'how to ' for a 118 degree bit . What is the alignment port setting for a 135 degree split point ? So much missing here !!
The video is worthless. No real detail, no explanation of why the 118 or 135, poor demonstration of the pawls, just plain bad. We are sure you know ALL this stuff. Good for you. (and I mean Darex, not the poor kid). No quality control by management. Actually I do not care if you know all this information. I care that I do not!
Had one, motor is not good, underpowered poor quality.Spring system for referencing on flutes is not positive. It is overpriced and , like mine, does not last long only okay for casual day.
