@@afanoflafear Facts. Although Bow has had a pretty decent run in the mainstream musically from 2000-2009. And even after his music career kinda faded away from the mainstream world, like I said he was still dropping mixtapes here and there which were all dope asl🔥🔥🔥 and probably some of the best music I've ever heard from him and he was still doing movies like "Lottery Ticket" & "Madea's Big Happy Family" which are my fave movies he's been in besides "Like Mike". Bow Wow has been around for 3 decades actually starting back in 93' with Snoop & Death Row, but he didn't become a star until the early 2000s with JD and he just took off from there. It ain't like he was a one hit wonder so for people to just try to write him off and act like what he's done for the culture especially as a child rap prodigy isn't legendary is beyond crazy to me, now I'm not saying that he was a God MC like the Rakims, the Big Daddy Kanes, the Nas's or anything like that (being that he had ghostwriters in the first place), but he had a dope flow for his age, always gave good performances on stage and was selling out arenas, 7 times to be exact. People say it's because of the corny stuff that he does or says sometimes, but it's like we've all had those moments and got clowned, other celebs do it all the time but because it's "Bow Wow" people try to clown him 10x harder and most of the time it be our own people which is sad. Me, I just give credit where credit is due and Bow has definitely had a hell of a career regardless of what anyone else says with the music and the movies that were apart of my childhood growing up and remember watching "Like Mike" and the "Basketball" music video wanting to be like Calvin Cambridge. As far as Chingy, Yung Joc & T-Pain, I can say T-Pain has had hella hits too just from his features alone including Outta My System w/Bow Wow, but Chingy & Yung Joc I only remember 1 song from them both and that was "Right Thurr" & "It's Going Down" which were both hits during their time period, but they didn't have the impact or star power that Bow Wow had growing up.

I see what you mean, another great I thought of was DMX: everyone was so quick to clown him for being a crackhead when his fame slowly but surely started to dissolve but once our boy passed they all acted like they loved the guy since the start. All rappers regardless of lyrical talent or content (especially who had a buzz at one point) should be celebrated and remembered for their triumphs, not flaws and losses.

@@afanoflafear Exactly. And I respect DMX too for what he did for the culture and he was so unique. It's unfortunate that he's no longer here to put out more music, but his legacy will live on & he was in one of my fave urban hood movies "Belly" & "Romeo Must Die" with Jet Li & Aaliyah for goodness sake. Dude's forever GOATED in my eyes as far as in the hip hop community and film.
