One should use caution here since these or at least the few I have seen are not for Fiberglass tubs. I'm very mechanically inclined so this helps me find and see ways around such a limitation. I do like what I see and yes this looks odd at first and may seem over kill at first. I don't believe it is and will get use to it quickly. Just as I did with a hand rail on both sides of my stairs. People thought i was odd at first also and took me a short while to get use to it and love it now. There are ways also of installing wood blocking but not necessary in my case since my tub is pretty solid. I got this for both me and my wife we where relying on a very flexible splash guard to aid us getting in and out. Not a good idea and for the money a more then reasonable purchase. Happy Holidays.
