What good does that demon the muffler side? You already have a built in crash protection. That part your installing will never touch the ground! Lol🤯
@sportbiketrackgear
@sportbiketrackgear 4 года назад
This will touch the ground before the muffler will on almost every exhaust system. Like anything there are exceptions such as the under slung systems some models use. - Van

If you are going to work on your own bike you need to get your self a quality rear stand. We suggest Pit Bull or Woodcraft. - Van

It will protect the bike on the left side but what about on the side where the exhaust is? Will the exhaust still take damage when dropped?
@sportbiketrackgear
@sportbiketrackgear 6 лет назад
This will not do much to protect the exhaust in a crash. Aftermarket rearsets with a fixed footpeg do help to minimize the damage to the exhaust in crashes. This also depends on the bike and how the system is mounted etc... - Van

I think it is Important to try and inbed in your mind that if you have to low side the Bike on Purpose then drop it on it's left side , the side without the Exhaust. As people have noticed the axle block slider on the Exhaust side is Basically redundant , so a waste of money , as they are not cheap. It's just for show to look pretty lol Does the ones for the Ninja 300 fit the 400 ? But i have to applaud the Guy for his Videos , they are very good . He must have the Patience of a Saint , to me doing bike work is a Chore !!!!! not a pleasure

Coming from someone who has lowsided a few times the side you lowside on is not something you can choose, it is what it is. All axle slider kits are sold in pairs and the bike would not look amazing with only one side installed IMO. This mod is both functional and cosmetic on the 400. You have to admit these look a whole heck of a lot better than the OEM axle blocks do. This kit also fits the Ninja 300. Here is a link to it on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/driven-axle-block-sliders-kawasaki-ninja-300-13-17/ - Van

Thanks for the Reply , as i said i respect you 100% , so i hope you are not mad with me. But i do think sometimes you have a Choice which side to lay the bike down , but obviously not in every situation. All the Best Van.

We are all good my brother, not even close to being mad at all. I wish I was good enough to choose the side I would lowside on. This would have saved me several exhaust systems over the years for sure. When I think lowside I think cornering low on the track and running out of talent. In this scenario the direction of the corner dictates the side you will fall on. If you are coming up on an obstacle on the street and need to throw the bike on the ground to avoid it this would be an opportunity to choose the side you crash on if you can think fast enough. - Van

Why cannot these be used as spools as well?
@sportbiketrackgear
@sportbiketrackgear 3 года назад
We still had the spools on the bike. If you are asking why they spools are not incorporated with the Axle Sliders that is because you would not be able to remove the axle to change the tire if the bike is being supported by spools that are attached to the axle blocks. - Van

Will these fit alongside a GB Racing shark fin toe guard?

Sorry I have not tried to install them both at the same time. I would expect them to fit as the guard is installed in front of the sprocket. - Van

Hey Brian, or anyone else that could help me for that matter, I’m getting a pair of axle block sliders that have spools built in because the threads on my bike are screwed from the previous owner. I was curious if there’s anyway of doing this without putting the bike on the stand since I can’t currently do that. (2014 GSXR 750). Thank you
@sportbiketrackgear
@sportbiketrackgear 6 лет назад
Axle block sliders that allow you to lift the bike from them will be great right until you need to remove the rear axle. I would suggest installing a Helicoil to repair the threads on your swingarm so you can install a set of spools. This is pretty easy to do and you can pick up the kit at most auto parts stores. Another option would be to lift the bike using a pad style rear stand. Below is a link to a Pit Bull Stand on our site that can lift from the spools or just the swingarm. www.sportbiketrackgear.com/pit-bull-ss-rear-stand-standard-spooled/ - Brian Van

WTF would you use the cutters to do that!? Needle nose pliers or simply pliers would be more appropriate!
@sportbiketrackgear
@sportbiketrackgear 4 года назад
I used side cutters because that is what you use to remove a fucking cotter pin man. Side cutters provide excellent grip with very little pressure applied which is what you need when removing a cotter pin. - Van

ohh cmon, you don't use cotter pins more than once!!!! btw it's 5cent item. (pipe wrench works great to tighten the pins)

Word. I always throw them away and get some stainless hitch clips from Ace. I adjust my chain a lot so it makes it much easier.

What's the torque for the rear axle nut.
@sportbiketrackgear
@sportbiketrackgear 6 лет назад
I do not use a torque wrench on the bikes personally. I found the spec for the Ninja 300 (most likely the same) which is 72 ft lb. - Van
@kermit8619
@kermit8619 4 года назад
From the owner manual : 72 ft-lb . For the cutter pin , if the slots on the nut don't align with hole on the shaft , turn the nut clockwise up to the next alignment ( Should be less than 30 degrees)
