Driving spare 2008 Thomas Saf-T-Liner® C2 bus #0602 Camera - Samsung Galaxy S5. Sit down! Buckle Up! Enjoy the ride with me! Engine: Mercedes-Benz/Detroit Diesel OM906LA 210HP Transmission: Allison PTS-2500
It's ok, but if you ever drive the ones with a 6.7 cummins you'd never want to drive one with a Mercedes again, that cummins make it look like a joke, to be honest compared to the cummins it is, I've never heard of a stock Mercedes breaking driveshafts, Allison's or twisting a chassis, but a stock 6.7 with some computer tunes has
Thinking about service all you do thank you very much for that her voice is this the Lord Jesus Christ come unto you and said to them go now and love them having peace is you are Robbie Hagberg
just test drove a 2008 Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 .. the steering wheel shakes at speeds of 50-55 mph +, and the windows are plastic and cracking letting in air and water... have you experiences the same thing? any fixes for the problems ?
This Thomas Safe-T-Liner C2 is really a Freightliner M2 chassis with the M2 cab all tricked out for school bus applications. The dash and steering wheel is from the Freightliner M2 medium duty truck. What this thing replaced was the last Thomas Safe-T-Liner conventional body which they have been making for many years. The springs are already beginning to show wear as the smooth ride quickly gets a little rough. The plus side to having these type of wipers is that the mechanic doesn't have to climb a ladder to get to the wipers like he had to on the old conventional bodies Thomas used to build. But I have seen a possible option to where you can have the wipers hang from the top as a custom design or have the right hand wiper reversed so that both arms lean towards the middle.
_The Freightliner C2 is a Type C conventional bus chassis manufactured by Daimler Truck North America, used only for the Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 school buses_ _The C2 uses the hood, firewall, steering column, and dashboard of the Freightliner Bussines Class M2 medium-duty conventional._
Is it goverened for highway speed? If it is goverened for highway use, how many miles per gallon of diesel does it get on the highway? How much MPG in the city? How much headroom in the center isle walking front to back? The road look prety chewed up, asphalt must not last long there. Smoother roads in Virginia might not shake it as much.

may i say i love the Way the Engine Sounds. but, it sounds similar to another engine i've heard before except that was a city bus and it was by NewFlyer Buses
_New Flyer Xcelsior Hybrid buses use Cummins ISB 6,7 engines_ _I don’t know what similar engine sound did you hear. Maybe DD engines on Low Floor series_
_I don't know how expensive it is to repair and maintain, mechanics are engaged in it. Break like any car. This can happen often and for a long time, or it can work properly._ _I never had any discomfort when driving on the highway._
Used to ride a 2004 FS-65 with the MBE 906 & now I’m on a 2019 Vision with the 260hp Cummins ISB 6.7L. There’s a huge power difference between the 2 engines from what I’ve noticed and it’s funny because the MBE is like a lawn mower lmao
