Driving around Lake Placid, NY, July 4th, 2020 Holiday Weekend. The coolest thing we did was drive up the Whiteface Mountain Veteran's Memorial Highway. There is an Observatory at the top at 4610 feet above sea ground! Views are spectacular! Its a must do drive!

Thanks yeah it’s amazing you can drive all the way to the top. It’s a $15 fee (depends on how many people in vehicle). People actually ski down Whiteface Mountain. I would be terrified skiing here it’s very steep and fast! The 1980 Olympics were held here!

If you like hiking you have to visit Lake Placid. The Winter Olympics were there twice. Most recently in 1980
