Wonder what its like driving in -20C? We're gonna see in this video! If you like this kind of videos let me know. 0:00 Road from airport 2:09 city driving 14:43 crazy LADA drifter 20:00 they turn the lights - beautiful!
Too funny. You realize that people on the American East Coast have comparable driving conditions in winter right?
-20 Celsius is not that cold, it happens also in central Europe quite often - Poland for example. -50 it's a challenge and this is a reality in Northern Siberia.
Loved this video. I am currently in an army camp on the west coast of South Africa. Here its almost desert because of cold southern Atlantic ocean and absolutely no snow EVER.... so I loved your video.
Ekaterinburg has several esteemed architects among its citizens. Though, driving habits are still very (pardon me) Asian; and public transport underdeveloped (a lot of commercial route-shuttles on the road) - and this is a million+ city.
Hello, by the way -20C in the US means a total chaos! Plus that guy in the yellow Lada hhhh unbelievable. Yekaterinburg looks amazing ,despite the fact it's extremely cold people go out do their things ! All the best.
Of course there are other cities in Russia much colder but my point despite cold temperatures and a lot of snow that doesn't change people's attitude and potential. I know that most of the Russian people are energetic and outgoing which is surprising because you expecting lazy people! All the best. 😃
OMG! I was born in Ekaterinburg ❤️ I remember, when I was young, temperature in winter used to be -30*c ❄️☃️❄️ * * * 22 years ago, I moved to live in Australia Melbourne. But I still love and remember my Ekaterinburg.
Russia has to do something urgently about parking when planning its cities. Almost all of the videos I’ve seen about Russian cities have a horrible problem with parking.
The problem is that up until recently, a lot of Russians could not afford a car, so they relied on public transportation or bicycles. Now that income is up and cost to purchase a vehicle is down when compared to 10 or 20 years ago, many people do own a car or even more than one. So combine those two scenarios and you get lots of traffic and inadequate parking.
I am Brazilian, for me it would be exciting to know this city with very different climate and architecture. I would probably die of cold from not knowing how to buy the right clothes.
This place compared to wayyyy more other russian cities is hot. Here in my city in Russia called Verhoyansk it is - 41°C In November 15th.And this weather is still not that cold.
@@nilfootballgamer9085 well verkhoyansk isnt a city but still one of the coldest villages in the world. In northern canada they get very cold weather too, kugaaruk canada schools only cancel at -60C. Also
Thanks for the video, man! Saved me a couple of K bucks and a good amount of heartache. Although I wish you'd mention the streets you were taking, as I've forgotten most of them in my 25 years away from the city.
Thank you RussianPlus. I like all your videos of Russian cities, and in this video your extended driver-seat views of the city streets, shops, etc were interesting and a real 'eye opener'. Was this weekend traffic? The streets seemed to have less cars than I would expect for 'peak hour' traffic in this big city.
Last week we had the arctic vortex at -6F with -37F wind chills. Weekend it soared to 64F. Indiana is in Tornado Alley. Have seen it as low as -14F. Driving in low temps is not so bad, the fun begins when it rains and then turns to deep snow. So glare ice is under the snow. Guy in yellow car does not know how to drift and spun out. We used to practice doing doughnuts in the high school parking lot.
Bro I’m black n just came across ur channel but u are beginning to climb my best vloggers ladder to overtake my best white vloggers like YesTheory,Drew Binsky..etc…More grease to ur elbows my boy
I'm a resident of Yekaterinburg. -20 Celsius in Winter - chilly, usually from -25 to -30. Above -30 C° is very rare. And in the summer of 2020, it was +39,1 C°.
Actually in center we have 3 undeground parking for 2 and 4 hours for free. This one is the smallest. It's absolultly necesseray in winter because historical part (where I work) is very tight and practically no place to park your car. Most fast and my favorite public transport is tram, but they always unpredictable especially in winter, and when -30 outside you don't want to wait it. So much easy to buy at least used car and drive it in our endless traffic jams but with your personal heater and music. But if you have a car, you can get out of your home in morning and your car don't want to go beacause your oil were freezed last night, and car battery can't start engine. It's usuall situation, so drivers helps each other to start freezed cars with special wires...Really this very tedious, but last years winters become abnormally warm - only 20-25C, but I remeber in 2000s there were 30-38C. Ural it's region with very bad unstable weather - today you have -1C, but at night -25C. It's shit, and we can't say this is normal.
Great video but I had to put on my gloves and stocking hat to finish watching...,lots of people walking about at -4F, tough folks...I Truely enjoyed this video...thanks for sharing.
Omg i like Russia so much the architecture, the people and the weather its so gooood! 😍 Before u all say that winter is pretty bad let me tell you here in India we enjoy cold winters because summers are blyat! so so bad that literally so many people die every year by heatstroke and everyone do not have ac and even ac fails to work sometimes, 40-45°C 😖 is pretty common in summers even at night, like literally we can't go out for a month or so when summer is at its peak. Anyways love from India 😀
I love the views in your drive, RussianPlus. You did a nice variety of destinations. Keep up the good work. I have learned some good techniques in the videos on your channel on how to properly mount the camera. May I ask what camera you are using? I would love to use something like this for my new 4K driving videos.
@@command_unit7792 Well, imagine Stalingrad, a dilapidated city where there is no light or water or of course heat and even food. In the street -30 and -30 in the house, the only difference the wind is blowing so hard). And so people lived for almost 900 days. In the spring the grass did not have time to grow out of the ground as people immediately plucked it and ate it. In winter, boiled leather belts and boots, and then drank the water.))) But still survived and even won, though not all. The Germans on the other side of the fence though, and had enough food and captives for heating, dying as effectively). Yes, it's not funny.(
Beautiful classical architecture. The variety of it is surprisingly beautiful. And the best painted anywhere in the world. And i love those metal sculpted walking rails that line the trees. You dont realize all this beauty until you see ugly countries without architecture at all like usa (except NYC and even that..)
