Thank you for taking us on the six lap jaunt around Monza in your F355. I truly enjoyed it. Ciao Marchettino.👍

Sadly for some of us, the closest we can do is indeed Assetto Corsa, with a brilliant red 355 on Monza (with hopefully a decent sim setup). That being said, thank you for taking us around the track in the real thing! Given on how exciting it was to watch, one can only imagine what you felt doing the real thing! Cheers from the USA!

Where you can download this car for Asetto Corsa?

That was a treat to listen to. I'm surprised the brakes lived as long as they did--I have a 355 and even with modern brake pads and good fluid, I can still fade the brakes even on an agressive canyon run.

Like you, I just took my F355 to a track. I makes a great track car. Very fun and preforms well in the higher rpms. Loved it.

Hey Marco, I have a couple of suggestions as a fellow enthusiast. Let's start with the brakes, actually F355's brakes are not weak, they just tend to fade as you experienced on the track. Stoptech, Brembo and AP Racing offer big brake kit solutions but as you may guessed they are costly options. I think the best 'bang for buck' solution is installing stainless steel brake lines, a high temperature brake fluid,fast street pads and Fiorano Handling Package drilled rotors. About the engine temperature, replacing stock F355 exhaust system helps a lot because it's close to the engine, but you already done that, ahahaha. You can wrap your headers with a heat proof material, it's a common solution among F355's. And probably the cheapest option is buying a Challange grill, it helps to cooling your engine. But it may get dirtier faster, watch out for that. And as a plus, it looks really awesome. And you can get silicone hoses instead of rubber ones. That's all the things I can think of right now. Oh by the way, have a look at the Fiorano Handling Package suspension components. Anti roll bars, springs etc. Ciao Marco
@MarchettinoEN
@MarchettinoEN 3 года назад
Thanks for the feedback! Concerning the exhaust, I've done everything you mentioned. I was close from buying a Challenge grill but at the end I didn't because I don't like it very much over Rosso Corsa. Next step for the brakes is to replace the disks, pads, fluid and hoses, I think the improvement will be quite good. I spoke yesterday to a friend with a Ferrari workshop and he said you don't really feel a great difference with the Fiorano disks (he had a few 355 with those), I don't even know where it's actually possible to find the suspension setup of the Fiorano as these spare parts are quite rare to find

Why heel and toe all the time? Heel and toeing is performed if your engine is a low revving engine and or you’re coming in to the curve too slow , wrong gear. It would be faster and better to shift with the clutch half way to match the engine rev. The engine sounds great, though.

Am not much of a super car fan but this is one of the few Ferrari I actualy wish to own and drive. Simply because this the very first Ferrari I ever known since I'm born (1991). Its typical 90's esthetics are just the best for me. I have a question tho : ever tries one with the F1 piloted gearbox?
@MarchettinoEN
@MarchettinoEN 2 года назад
I drove also the F1 version. It's not as bad as I thought but still, I'll definitely go with the manual and I'm happy with mine because it feels the right transmission for it
@DereckLunar
@DereckLunar 2 года назад
@@MarchettinoEN I bet. Thanks for the info. I'd still pick the F1 gearbox for its novelty at the time. I hope I will at least get the chance to test drive any 355 in my life xD Even if it's just driving around without pushing it. Y'know like being behind the wheel and all would already be a big achievement lol

I do not like Monza, because of the shape of track. Manual car and F355 I do not have problems with those, but preffer more corners in short time.

Is this overheating after 3 laps true for any Ferrari 355 or this one has some problems?
@auwz66

I have the Brembo GT brake kit on my 355 - worth looking at for more brake power.
@MarchettinoEN
@MarchettinoEN 3 года назад
For the moment I think I will keep the OEM brakes but I'll replace everything: disks, pads, oil and hoses, I think this would be a good first step to see an improvement
@auwz66
@auwz66 3 года назад
@@MarchettinoEN Sounds good, that should help a lot. The standard brakes are not bad - but you wont be able to do unlimited laps. Another option is Stoptech. They do a kit for the 355 which includes front and rears. I have heard some good things about them but not as "OEM" as Brembo.

Got a question on the 355s. If someone was to buy one and had some good amount of spare money, would it be wise to replace the headers with some non stock ones, so that they last?
@MarchettinoEN
@MarchettinoEN 3 года назад
Yes it's highly recommend as the stock headers (made by Ansa back in the days) don't last over the time. Sooner or later they must be replaced as they tend to crack (even the early production of the F430 had the same problem). I've replaced mine as I've fitted a brand new full exhaust system

How long did it take u to get the heel toe motion down?
@pmor8
@pmor8 3 года назад
I can’t speak for him, but for me it took a month or so of heel toe practice while daily driving to be confident. Each car is different so the pedal box makes a big difference. I’ve had subaru WRX and STi and it’s pretty easy to heel toe on street and on the racetrack
